5 out of 5 eggsGreat features and works well

Pros: Quiet, easy to install, cools well, nice appearance. Love the remote!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: We live in Palm Springs, California, one of the hottest places in the country. We installed this in our bedroom, because it can be too hot to sleep in the summer. We have both central air, and a swamp (evaporative) cooler. The evaporatve cooler works o.k. when the weather is not humid, but sometimes humidy is an issue even in the desert. Of course our central air, works great, but who wants to pay for cooling the whole house, when you sleep in just one bedroom?
We paid just about $225 for this delivered, but our electricity bill for the June, July, August, and September combined, dropped $180 from the year before we installed this, so it almost paid for itself in one summer. That itself is a great thing. However, we really like the thermostat, timer and remote, so that we do not have to get up to readjust or turn off the central air at night, once things have cooled down. That convenience alone, makes it worth it to me. It took me about half an hour to install, as I recall.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: This is in a small upper bedroom where I keep all of my computers: about 300 watts of stuff running all day long. It easily keeps the room at 72 degrees and will go lower if I want. I live in the suburbs of Minneapolis. The wall and window of the room get alot of afternoon sun.

Cons: There is no provision for shutting the fan off when the compressor stops: it runs constantly when the unit is on. The fan has a lower speed, but it is barely discernable from the higher speed. Not a big deal, because it is fairly quiet.

Other Thoughts: Like another reviewer, I bought this at Costco (I buy TONS of computer stuff here though). Because I have horizontal sliding windows, I had to fabricate a bunch of stuff to make this AC unit fit. Come fall, I take it all apart and store the unit in the closet - another pro - it only weighs about 45 lbs and is easy to carry around

4 out of 5 eggsSmall, Cheap. Works Well

Pros: Great little air conditioner. We use it to cool our living room (10x22). The space is a little bigger then recommended. But Cools just fine. Keeps it's a pretty nice 73F in the hot Long Beach California Sun!

Cons: None Yet

Other Thoughts: I actually purchased this at my local Costco. It does the trick but I'd recommend using it in a smaller size room then I did.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Well, Energy Star :-)

Pros: I am using it to cool my room (150 sqft), on the top floor, it keeps the temp low (72 F) when it's 95F outside. i stay in Riverside, CA. Overall a value product.

Cons: It's a bit noisy.
