1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It turns on.
It blows air.
It hasn't burst into flames.

Cons: Arrived with a broken plastic frame where the screw in the top left front cover is, I even have a photo of it if needed.
When I first turned it on, the fan was making an INCREDIBLY loud noise even at the lowest setting. Upon further inspection, the front cover is actually touching the fan.

Why was that? Two reasons. One, the front cover is warped and caving in so to speak. Two the motor inside is skewed with one side sticking out further than usual. Had to take off the front cover and bend the 2 metal rods holding the motor so that it was set properly and not making a death rattle.

I get that it was REDACTED PRICE but it's still incredible cheap plastic and vibrates like crazy even at the 1 setting. Looking at it wobbling is a bit concerning so I've set it under my desk for now. The "whisper-quiet" thing is a bit of false advertising I'd say, but whatever.

Other Thoughts: I mean, after a bit of fixing it works well enough save a few things I can't fix like the intense wobbling and broken frame. Still though, I'd assume a typical buyer isn't that handy and would have just returned it but I don't have time for that nonsense of waiting 1-2 weeks for it to get sent back, sorted, and sent back to me and I need a fan now.

Would not buy again nor would I recommend it to anyone. Actually, I'll probably avoid Lasko forever and advise my acquaintances to do the same with the exception of those I hate. I would recommend Lasko products to them happily.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a fan.

Pros: Has good airflow.
Keeps my small dorm room cool by having pull air in through the window.

Cons: Makes noise, but fans always make noise.

1 out of 5 eggsSold used item as new

Pros: it works.

Cons: Sold used item as new!!!! And the volume of flow it brings was disproportionate with the size of that fan.

5 out of 5 eggsGood, but loud, as expected

Pros: - Good airflow.
- Slim profile.
- Added stability provided by feet mounted to the bottom of the unit.
- Single knob with only 4 settings to keep things simple.

Cons: - A little on the loud side when on either of the two higher settings (see other thoughts).

Other Thoughts: Good fan for the money, though you might do better on price to get one locally if Newegg is not offering free shipping.

The unit has one control knob with 4 settings:
- 0 (off)
- 3 (HIGH)
- 2 (Medium)
- 1 (Low)

The HIGH setting is fairly loud, but this is not really something to complain about as this is more of a design restriction for box fans than anything else. The MEDIUM setting is fairly audible as well, but much more tolerable than HIGH. The LOW setting is easily drowned out by foreground noise such as TV or radio at a reasonable volume level.

The unit has more or less been in continuous usage for nearly two months, and has not shown any problems as of yet. It circulates air into/out of a room that has less air conditioner flow than other rooms, and also has the sun shining in through a large window in the afternoon. With a curtain and this fan, temps have been significantly reduced.

With as affordable as this item is, I will be 100% thrilled if it lasts longer t

5 out of 5 eggshold onto your hat

Pros: moves a LOT of air
dial is on the top of the fan
comes with feet to stop it from blowing itself over (it will if you dont install them).

Cons: somewhat loud on medium and high settings, but for the amount of air it moves it's tolerable.

Other Thoughts: it seems to like collecting lost hairs. it resides in a house with 2 girls a dog and a guy all with long hair though.

4 out of 5 eggsI've had it five minutes

Pros: it did not cost much and it blows all the air I need on its slow speed. on its slow speed I can barely hear it.

Cons: like too many other things today, it is too light (but all of us want free or inexpensive shipping). I put it where it needs to be under a bench and turned it on. On its slowest speed it rocks and moves.... the dance it does is not very entertaining so I've decided to ignore it.

Other Thoughts: what I really wanted was another one of their desk fans but they were out of stock and this was not that much more expensive. LASKO's mold for the plastic grating must not be perfect. I got a cut similar to a paper cut by just moving my hand over the edge of it.

Pros: Works great. No rattling or anything like that when it's on and very stable with the attachable plastic feet.

Cons: None
