4 out of 5 eggsSpecial Purpose Use

Pros: About the airflow you would expect from such a compact design. Busy day at the office? Drank a bit too much coffee and no time to go to the little boy's room? Fear not, this fan allows to you skip all that.

Cons: Coworkers give me funny looks, asking "is that a fan" to which I reply "no". It's a little loud but that lets you know it is running.

Other Thoughts: Once my secretary heard it and thought it was a different kind of electric appliance but once she tried it for herself, well we had a new found hobby from them on.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Fan, Bad Base

Pros: The fan itself pushes a decent amount of air, great for an office environment.

Cons: A bit on the loud side when you turn it up. The biggest issue for me was the base. The clip portion of it held great, but the swivel part didn't fair so well. It would constantly fall toward the desk or rotate away after a period of time.

Other Thoughts: If you don't mind needing to play with it more often than you should to keep it pointing in the direction you want, go for it.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It blows air. Yay. It is still running after a few months of use.

Cons: The clip adjusting mechanism is flimsy. It is making noises after the 1st month of use even while I kept it clean from dust. It only covers a small area.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Office Fan

Pros: Compact, tower (blower) type fan. Clips to my desk without taking up space. You can use it as a standard tower fan or with the clip. Uses 7 watts on low speed, 13 watts on high speed. Sturdy, beefy clip, easy adjustment.

Cons: Not as quiet as I'd like. Not as bad as I was expecting (small, tower fan), but not great either. The breeze is strong, but not very wide, so you have to point it just so. Great if you work in one position, but not so much if you are moving around your office. Also, it only has TWO SPEEDS. I'm no expert fan engineer, but how much money can they possibly be saving by using two speeds instead of the normal three?

Other Thoughts: If you have the desk space, a slow, traditional desk fan is your best bet. But I don't have the space. My desk has two 24" monitors, a workgroup-sized laser printer, telephone, desk lamp, and I still need room to read papers. So this fan was perfect.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Fan

Pros: This fan is great. I work in an office that gets extremely quiet at times. This fan is quiet, pushes a lot of air, and takes up very little space on your desk. I took off the clip and set it on my desk and you can hardly see it's there.

Cons: does not have a very wide breeze, so you have to direct it specifically where you want the air.

Other Thoughts: i purchased mine for a lot more money from rite aid. i should have bought from newegg. If you are looking for a desk fan for an office or maybe bedside, this is worth every penny. definitely buy!

5 out of 5 eggsNice for an alternative laptop cooler

Pros: Okay. So I'm cheap. I have a laptop that gets incredibly hot and I've had enough of the loss of sensation in the tip of my fingers from typing on a keyboard and using a track pad that could slow cook an egg. So, I could have purchased a fancy smancy laptop cooler, or I could do something else. :-) This fan clips on the desk just to the right side of my 15 inch laptop where most of the heat is generated and whether its on setting one or two the keys and track pad are cool to the touch. The internal fan of the laptop doesn't work as hard either. Problem solved. The fan isn't any louder than the other noises I hear by my window living in the city, and the laptop already has an internal fan noise, so it just this fan just mixes in with the rest.

Cons: Its a fan next to a laptop. But who's fault is that? ;-)
