5 out of 5 eggsLOVE this heater!

Pros: Small foot print, thermostat, warms quickly, lightweight, easy to move from room to room, quiet

Cons: So quiet I forget it's on and have left it on overnight (at my office) a couple of times

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these heaters for my office 5 years ago. I liked it so much I bought another one for home! The one in my reception area got dropped or something and no longer functions properly so here I am to purchase a replacement. The irony is that's the one of the three I own that gets the least use! Heats the room nicely but is not a burn concern for young children. Quiet operation does not disturb my work and the thermostat keeps the room from getting too hot without me having to pay attention to it or stop what I'm doing. My office is approximately 10 feet by 20 feet and one of these warms it nicely.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Experience (Take 2)

Pros: ha

Cons: -Customer Service (Lasko)
-Product doesn't work properly
-I wrote a lengthy review, but newegg's super duper servers didn't process it (at least I don't think it did).

Other Thoughts: I wish I never gave Lasko my money. I can't return the thing because I threw out the box. I am not mad that the product didn't work. Not everything can. I just hate being blown off by someone whose paychecks are partly based off my voluntary contribution.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Experience

Pros: This thing was warm for a few minutes.

Cons: I got the package last night. Turned it on and though things were cool. I turned it off and went to bed. I tried it this morning and it ran for all of two minutes and then it shut off. I followed the instructions on the back of the device that says to unplug it and leave it for a good 15 minutes of so. Having done that, I plugged it in and it starts and runs another two minutes. This happens repeatedly on every plug I got including a surge protector. Eventually it wouldn't even turn on. Cool.

I called the Lasko Techinical Support and the lady I spoke with was anything but friendly and told me it was the fault of my surge protector. I asked her if she was sure (I used my wall plugs too) and she said yes. She said it was in the manual (she didn't ask what model I have or anything). I apologized to her for the fustration in my tone and I told her I suspect that she was giving me a run around.

I can't return the thing because I threw away everything it came with.

Other Thoughts: I am more upset at the fact that such a horrible company (Lasko) is getting my money that the fact that this one of many products doesn't work. I will go to Walmart and spend 25 dollars on a Sunbeam heater that will last me a year, no problem. What I can't do is get back what was sucked from me by these lifeless vampires.

I have rarely called customer service for anything in my life, yet alone desired to return a product. This is a sad day for me as an American consumer.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Heater, functions are different depending on heat setting

Pros: Small footprint. Ease of use.

Cons: There is a difference of the functionality depending on your heat setting. At the high heat setting, the thermostat and cool down functions work as described. However, at the low setting, you cannot set the thermostat nor is there a cool down time period. The heater on the low setting sets the thermostat to HIGH and it stays there for continuous operation unless you set the timer.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: Warms up the area fast, ideal for single room. Features are nice. Timer is useful when you try to save electricity. Its small and light therefore very easy to move around. Does a very good job for the price.

Cons: It may not be suited for large space, for example if you have big garage. Obviously it will add to your electric bill and if you are not careful enough it will hit your circuit breaker.

Other Thoughts: I use it only for my living room.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Heater

Pros: Small Floor Footprint. Easy to set

Cons: No thermostat on low setting.

Other Thoughts: This is a good heater. We have purchased it for our bathroom and it does a good job in heating it quickly. We know it states it is not intended for a bathroom, but those that are rated for a bathroom just have a GFI on the end of the power cord. We already have a GFI outlet that I use offering the same protection.
The timer is a nice feature and easy to set from 1 hour to 7 hours or anywhere in-between in increments of one hour. The oscillation works as expected. The power level is either 900 watts or 1500 watts. All of those options are easy to set.
The thermostat is an area we would like to see improved so that it works at the 900 watt setting. Our bathroom is small and really does not need that much heat. The thermostat only works on the high heat, 1500 watt setting. The manual states this if for “increased efficiency” which I do not understand. 900 watts is 900 watts and 1500 is 1500 watts. Have a thermostat turn it on or off does not make it any more efficient. If

4 out of 5 eggsIt warms me up! :D

Pros: This space heater does a good job of warming up quickly and heating the space around it. Also much cheaper than the other space heaters available on newegg and other websites. As always newegg provided the best shipping and it showed up a day earlier than expected too.

Cons: This thing is only about 2 1/2 feet tall. I expected around 3 feet, but it's a little bit shorter. I also wich it would be able to move air much faster as well, since the area I want to work in is my garage, and there's a LOT of cold air in there!

Other Thoughts: I'm pretty sure this is because of my house's wiring and the number of devices I have plugged in to the same circuit breaker, but I'm going to list it anyway. as soon as I plugged this in downstairs and ran it for about 15 minutes the first time, it kicked the breaker. Now you have to understand that my garage's power and my living room are linked the the same circuit breaker. You also have to understand that on the same breaker I have my computer/PS3/Xbox 360/ 40" TV/DVD player/sound system as well as the lighting for my entire second floor.

More a poor design on the house builders, but at the same time I dont understand why I was able to run a dremel and power drill as well as a makeshift reflow station in my garage while my family is watching TV and yet the space heater caused the breaker to get kicked...
