2 out of 5 eggsGrinding noises after only a couple of days.

Pros: Nice fan when it worked.

Cons: It did not function properly past the first two days. Started grinding on each turn. It now only works without oscillation.

Pros: twist top to widen coverage area, oscillation, dimly backlit control buttons, quiet on low, moves a good amount of air on all settings, 6" diameter base, lasted a long time

Cons: Only worked for 8 years without making noise. Still moves air quietly but makes crick-crack noise when oscillating back & forth. The old fan likes a solid level surface, not a saggy plastic hamper top, which causes a scraping noise as well.

Other Thoughts: I use the 10 year old crick-crack fan in my bathroom when I take a shower. If I get half the quiet cool life out of my new fans I'll be happy. Yes I would recommend these to all of my friend ;)

Pros: They worked ok for one season. Nice vertical design, compact. The low setting was nice and quite. I only used the low speed setting, without oscillation, and liked them while they worked.

Cons: I bought three, only one still semi-works. Two quit working after only one summer, and one now runs, but very poorly, and is obviously going to die soon. They vibrated very badly ("walked") and were noisey when on high.

Other Thoughts: I'm looking for something better to replace these with, I won't buy them again. The current price is ridiculous for such low quality. I also bought a much larger, similar design, floor standing Lasko unit that has lasted for years.
