LASKO 5591 Ceramic Heater without Remote Control

Pros: Good design, heats up instantly, touch buttons give sophisticated feel.

Cons: Refurbish quality was very poor, the back cover was not closed properly after refurbishing, so I had to snap it in at a couple of places, but then I still had a loose piece of plastic inside making noise when I shake it. It was all good till then, but after a couple of days of use the fan suddenly started at full speed without me doing anything to it and it won't turn off unless I pull the plug out. Fortunately Newegg instantly gave me RMA with return shipping label.

Other Thoughts: If this was new and working well, it looked like a great product.

Pros: The second unit that arrived does work properly and heats up a spacious room as expected.

Cons: The first unit that arrived was defective and only blew cool air. I had to pay fifteen dollars for return shipping to get a replacement. The second unit is not free of faults either - a plastic piece protrudes from the bottom of the body. Moreover, whenever I turn off the heater it is accompanied by a funny sound. I can't bother to return the thing again but the low quality of the refurbished product is absolutely horrendous.

Other Thoughts: Both units looked like they had been used for a while with scratches on bodies, something that is NOT mentioned on the website but on a slip of paper that came with the product.

I would recommend buying a brand new product with three-year warranty to minimize the chances of receiving something defective. Moreover, consider the fact that you have to pay for return shipping even if you receive something that doesn't work - I would most definitely turn to another online retailer next time for my heater purchase.

Pros: Nothing good about this refurb unit.

Cons: this unit came with no screws to assemble the base.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this not worth it.

Pros: This is an excellent unit for relatively small spaces. I have used it in multiple locations and it exceeded my expectations. This unit will keep a small room (e.g., bedroom, dorm room) nice and toasty. The control settings are easy to use and understand, and I love that it spins.

Setup took a screwdriver and approximately 2 minutes. Can't beat that!

Cons: I can't seem to find any. I guess the remote would be nice, but it says in the description it doesn't come with the unit.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for something to heat a room with high ceilings or a large, open space, you might want to keep looking.
