Pros: A lot of heat to where I have to tone it back.

Cons: Temp takes a hair a bit to adjust sometimes to exactly where you want it.

Other Thoughts: I have this under my L desk and in a 50 degree basement I do have a blanket around my feet that helps

Pros: On the heater itself, this thing works great in the small, 8'x10' bedroom/office where it is being used. The lower "2" setting is plenty to take the edge off the cold in the room within several minutes when the temperature outside is as low as 32 (and this is in a house built in 1940 without any modern insulation in the walls). Getting the full room heated takes about 20 to 30 minutes. If sitting near the heater as I do, it will not take long before you're turning the adjustment knob way down so the heater does not come back on again so often. As I had to get this late in the season, I have not yet had to use the top "1" setting other than when I made sure everything was working. Even when temps outside got down into the 20s, I never used the top setting on my previous, similar heater so I doubt this one will need it much, either.

Cons: While the unit pushes out plenty of heat under those settings, the plain fan setting is very weak compared to the DeLonghi I had for four years before its fan died and caused me to buy this Lasko. Even basically right next to me, the wind this one puts out is not very strong. This will probably cause me to have to buy a separate fan once temperatures start hitting 80 and above outside. I am guessing that Lasko went for quiet over air flow. I wish they had put more "umph" in the fan. Still, this is mainly for heat so I'm going to be fair IMO and only dock one egg for this.

Other Thoughts: If your main concern is heat and you don't need any extra features, this is a very good choice considering its price plus how energy-efficient ceramic heaters are in general. However, my guess is that it will struggle to fully heat any room over 100 square feet if your needs call for warming every corner. If you also want to make serious use of the fan-only feature, I might look for something else. On all settings, this Lasko is certainly much quieter than my dead DeLonghi but I'd gladly trade that for a more powerful fan. I don't regret this purchase but, had I been able to try some different models in person, I probably would have gotten one with a stronger fan. Oddly enough, the heat spreads very well...it's just that fan-only is weak. Other than that, all that remains to be seen is if this Lasko will last a few years or be one of those things that dies right after the warranty expires. It seems much more solid than my dead DeLonghi so, at the time I am writing this review, I have good hope of not needing a replacement until at least 2020.
