4 out of 5 eggsCheap sharp knives

Pros: They cut stuff well, I paid little for them.

Cons: The wood base it comes with seems unbalanced

Other Thoughts: They work great for the money, and I won't be sad if they break soon because of how little they cost.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: Cheap price. Sharp as anything.... for the first week....

Cons: Cheap product. You get what you pay for. Small knives that go dull after a week of use. Thin cheap metal. Rusts. You're better off just buying cheap knives at wal mart

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth it!

Pros: None

Cons: Read below

Other Thoughts: Just started to use this set now almost 10 months after I bought. Price was good, quality is bad. Left in the sink soaking for less than 1 hour and the knifes has rust marks all over. The serrated knives are not that sharp. The chef knife is not serrated, very sharp right out of the box, but after 2 uses the sharpness is gone. Very dissapointed. I guess you get what you paid for. I paid $11 for the set.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Cutting stuff...

Pros: These are great for cutting meats, vegetables ect.
Handles are nicely sized, holder is nice as well.

Cons: none really.

Other Thoughts: These are lightly used in my household but they work well everytime. I use meat cleavers and other large knifes to cutting through meat and bones but these are good when doing light task like carving a chicken or making a sandwich.

5 out of 5 eggsLove these knives

Pros: I make my own beef jerky so I need good sharp blades. The blades I was using were old and hard to keep sharp after cutting through 15-20lbs of meat each time. I replaced my main cutting knives thith these and could not be happier! They stay sharp and don't get stuck in thick sections like alot of other blades do. I love them!

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsMore for your money!

Pros: I grabbed these during a sale for 12.99 with free shipping and wow did I get a good deal! I really didn't need knives but I grew up seeing the Ginsu commercials and figured for $13 I'd love to give them a try, as it turns out they are so sharp that I find myself buying steaks and vegetables way more often just so I can having something to slice and dice. These things are a smaller size set but they cut everything like a straight razor threw butter. I actually like the smaller size because it seems to make my mincing more precise and its easier to save my fingertips. Another plus is that the set never needs sharpening. All in all these are great and I would gladly pay $50 for the set.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGinsu 5 Piece during $12.99 sale!

Pros: Amazing set of 4 prep knives for 13 bucks when purchased. Looks nice on the counter. Some reviewers have said the handles are a little smallish, but seems to be based off of an average steak knife handle (to me anyway). I don't use them, but the people that do use them really enjoy them, nice and sharp and are replacing about 20 dull knives.

Cons: For 13 dollars this field might as well be nonexistent, unless by chance the knives weren't actually knives...

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure what this means, but the blades say "stainless China". Anywho, I wash them after use and pop them back into the block to avoid the possibility of rust should they not be *true* Japanese stainless. I am completely satisfied with this purchase.
