This review is from: Keystone KSTAP14A 14,000 Cooling Capacity (BTU) Portable Air Conditioner
Pros: - Blows very cold air
Cons: - HIGH power consumption! Kill-a-watt meter showed that it peaked out right over 1500W at times, averages between 1200-1400W draw!
Other Thoughts: I wouldn't have bought this portable AC if it weren't for the HOA clowns who told me to remove my window unit. I had a Keystone KSTAW06A unit previously, and was forced to remove and sell it. That 6000 BTU AC worked amazingly well for my medium sized bedroom. I bought this one because it had more than twice the BTU rating, and was on sale for a great price. Also, I never really had any problems with my previous Keystone unit that lasted me over 2 years, and it was a brand I never heard of before... so I decided to give that brand another go. Despite the fact it has more than twice the cooling power, it only cools marginally better than the window unit (portable units are always less efficient) and draws more than three times the power!! *angry face* *raises fists at HOA*
