Electric Pressure Cooker

Save Time Save Money Save Energy

Pressure cooking cuts cooking time by up to 70% of traditional meal prep methods. It seals in steam, reduces boiling temperature, and cooks hotter and faster while still retaining flavor and preserving those all-important nutrients. Grandma knew pressure cooking could do all of this, but grandma's pressure cooker didn't have our 7 built-in fail-safe safety features.

5 appliances in one eliminates the need for additional appliances and clutter in your pantry. This multi-cooker has settings for pressure cooking, slow cooking, steaming, rice cooking, and a brown setting that can be used to brown meats, saute vegetables, or even boil pasta!

Enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals at your convenience; any meal, any side dish, prepared any way you prefer and ready any time you want with delayed start and automatic keep warm features. So much convenience packed into one attractive appliance.

1 out of 5 eggslow quality non-stick coat!

Pros: easy to use.

Cons: Be aware of the non-stick pot. Used only about 10-times to cook soup/beef, today just found that large pieces of the non-stick coating have started to chip off. Not scratch, just peeling off. I think that's pretty low-quality non-stick pot.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat multipurpose appliance

Pros: Versatile Appliance - pressure cooker, rice cooker, steamer, browning, slow cooker
Cooks quickly
Easy to use
Well constructed
Delay timer, cooking timer and keep warm functions

Cons: Manual is somewhat brief (12 pages of operation, warnings, cooking times and maintenance), make sure you read it carefully before using the appliance.
Few recipes included, although you can locate a few more at their website.
Lid comes off when positioned at a particular angle, sometimes it comes off unintentionally, particularly when it is hot and you are trying to reseal for additional cooking time. Takes some getting used to.

Other Thoughts: Cleaning is relatively easy.
The non-stick pot seems to be quite well coated on the inside and outside. After a month of usage (used all functions except low pressure, once a day), it still looks pristine.
Lots of possibilities to combine some of the capabilities. You have to sequence them manually, no programming capability.
Unlike a conventional pressure cooker on a stove which needs to be attended to, this only needs the timers to be set and you need not worry about it. Nice.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Fast ship.
Works as described.
Easy to clean.

Cons: Pressure knob on top a bit imprecise.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for cooking at 6,700'. At low pressure setting, water boils at about the same temperature as sea level. This allows cooking pasta, etc. without boiling it to death and filling the kitchen with steam. Works perfectly for rice.

4 out of 5 eggsFirst time works great

Pros: Timer, ease to clean, cooking speed. No damage on box, on time. Product is easy to use (see cons).
Don't want to give 5 eggs until I use it a few more times.

Cons: Owners manual was just a little vague in places about initial setup and dis-assembly. But that just added 5 minutes to the first use, now I know how to use product, and it is easy.

Other Thoughts: Cooked frozen checking breasts in 9 minutes, juicy and tender. Already a winner.

4 out of 5 eggsgood deal

Pros: Components seem heavy-duty and mostly well thought-out.

Cons: Manual has drawing with part "on other side of drawing" and never shown installed. Manual jumps around - initial washing of parts, rather than listing procedure sends you forward into manual. Trivet can, and will tip, because "dimple" or similar not built into pot. The brand West Bend is directly competing against has 3 year warranty vs. West Bend's 1 year. Web site for West Bend is very awkward for getting recipes for pressure cooker.
