2 out of 5 eggsIssues with ears.

Pros: Cleans your teeth better than any manual or electric on the market.

Cons: After about a week of using this brush I began to notice a "wooshing" sound in my right ear. After a month it had progressed to pretty much full blown tinnitus. It took me a while to realize the correlation between the sonic toothbrush and when I began to notice the problems with my ear. I stopped using the brush and the problem went away after a few weeks. In the meantime, my wife had started using the brush. After about a week she told me she felt a strange "wooshing" in her ears. Keep in mind: I had never mentioned the problem to her. After discarding the thing and going back to normal brushes we are both fine again.

Other Thoughts: Maybe it was just the unit we had was vibrating at the wrong frequency or something, but I'm not willing to risk it causing me permanent hearing damage.

5 out of 5 eggsTakes some initial getting used to... but feels check-up clean!

Pros: - Teeth feel check-up clean after using.
- Built-in 2 minute timer is super convenient.
- Runs on 2 AA batteries (supplied).

Cons: None so far!

Other Thoughts: Not sure how much replacement brush heads are... but seems pretty good so far!

1 out of 5 eggspoorly designed

Pros: theoretically a great design, to be able to use AA batteries

Cons: the battery cover is fundamentally flawed. It becomes impossible to snap it back on all the way, which then allows water to get inside the battery compartment.
I've gone through two of these units and am now going to switch to a new brand. why can't they just have a screw-on battery cover!?!

3 out of 5 eggsPhilips Sonicare Xtreme 3000 Battery Sonic Toothbrush

Pros: Great price to get a Sonicare toothbrush.
It seems to work very well.

Cons: Water gets in the battery compartment like others have said. This causes the batteries to corrode and leak.
The e Series brush heads are more expensive than other brush heads.

Other Thoughts: I've seen on other sites that some people use petroleum jelly or dielectric grease to keep the battery compartment sealed. I am going to try that on my next one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat toothbrush

Pros: You can feel the difference from the cheaper Colgate, Crest, etc value priced brushes. Works using magnetic field principle to vibrate the brush, no visible motor. Extremely reasonable price for a brush of this magnitude. Vibrates with a passion.

Cons: Well, not much to say here. The first few times you use it, it almost hurts a bit since it is somewhat aggressive. I've been using this for several weeks now and it doesnt bother one bit anymore. Another con is that you have to engage it when it is in your mouth, otherwise it'll fling the toothpaste onto the floor or your mirror.

Other Thoughts: I wonder how much better the upper end of the Sonic toothbrush is. I can't imagine it would be 3 times better since this is a GOOD brush (I say 3 times because that is about how much more it costs). This is a grea brush and it looks and feels solid, works exceptional as well.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat while it lasts

Pros: Cleans your teeth and tongue very well.

Cons: They don't seem to last more than five or six months before going bad. I've been through two of them so far. I'm shopping now for something different.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat toothbrush

Pros: Works great. I floss and hardly get anything out of in between my teeth because this thing just vibrates it all away.

Cons: It sucks batteries down like crazy. Be ready to buy LOTS of batteries for it.

Other Thoughts: All in all, I like it. Worth the buy in my opinion.
