5 out of 5 eggsGrrr8!

Pros: Bought one of these by a 'BIG NAME' kitchen appliance maker a couple of months ago for well over $100 and it proved to be way too large and bulky and difficult to use so the wife sent it back.

This little Hamilton Beach is so small, simple to use and unobtrusive that we actually call it cute. It makes fabulous coffee with an absolute minimum of fuss or work and we have discovered that there are filters that you can use in it that let you make coffee from any coffee source in ready supply at a small fraction of the cost of buying the prefilled pods. One of the best buys we have ever made!

Cons: None, zero, zilch!!!

2 out of 5 eggsBoo!

Pros: Its cheap, it uses pods (which I find superior), its nifty handy and all of that...

Oh, if you manage to find the tea pods, this machine isnt so bad for tea. The pressurized system is not necessary for a decent tea in a tea-pod. Just thought id mention that as a pro.

Cons: But the coffee is terrible. Instead of the machine using pressure to force hot water through the coffee pod, the water just kinda soaks through the pod, making a weak lame cup of coffee. I bought this on sale thinking I could get a quick fix until I could get a better one, and honestly, I wasted my money. This type of item is what gave "pods" the stigma of making bad coffee.

Other Thoughts: Disappointed I just went to senseos website and got the pressurized system, the deluxe was out of stock. The regular senseo machine, I think, makes some of the best coffee in the world. You can get oversized pods now in many blends that make a fantastic cup of coffee and even has a foamy top. Summation: I would not reccomend this coffee maker to anyone unless they like really weak coffee.

1 out of 5 eggsplease do not buy

Pros: very small. cheap.

Cons: Terrible coffee. Here is how it ranks...
best- keurig; second - good quality drip coffee; third - old coffee from a place you get your oil changed; last - this swill.

Other Thoughts: don't waste your money...I know it is cheap...that's why i bought it too. but it is like just throwing your money in the trash.

1 out of 5 eggsWeak Coffee

Pros: Makes one cup at a time. Doesn't take up alot of counter space.

Cons: Coffee is very weak. I gave this machine away after a few months. I have the Keurig and Tassimo and this machine doesn't come close. I would not recommend it.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad.. not great

Pros: As cheap as it gets. Works fine with the right pods, and can easily be used if you make your own pods since it has a dual tray adapter. It is a small device so it easily fits on my counter(see cons). It is not real loud, but it is not quiet either.

Cons: Small and that means a bit unstable when you turn it on. Hold the top as you mash the on button or you can spill water out of the tank in back. Another of the most important flaws is that it does not compress the pods in any way like some of the other pod makers. As a result, It can't use certain sized pods as they will not seal well enough to actually make coffee. You will get brown water instead. I've learned that there are about 4 different sizes of pods so be careful looking to buy pods online. The Senseo are the proper size.

Other Thoughts: Cheaply made, but what would you expect from the price. It is solid and doesn't feel super cheap. It is not ugly compared to other cheap products at the same price point.
