The handy Hamilton Beach 25500 Egg Cooker can cook up to seven eggs at once, and makes perfect hard, medium, or soft boiled eggs every time. And, the included nonstick poaching tray allows you to poach up to three eggs at a time. The ready timer with tone lets you know when your cooked or poached eggs are ready to eat. The egg piercing tool allows you to pierce the eggs prior to cooking to release the sulfur within the egg, while preventing cracked shells during cooking. The result is consistently perfect golden yellow yolks. The water measuring cup with firmness markings lets you easily refill the exact amount of water to prepare the eggs to your desired style.

5 out of 5 eggsEgg Cooker

Pros: Priced right and doesn't do a bad job with poached eggs. I use this unit about 3 - 4 times a week and it works well for the money. I could have spent more money on just a poached egg pan but decided to try this unit and I am glad I did. Very simple operation and clean-up.

Cons: None at this time.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome little device

Pros: small, works great, not expensive
this is a foolproof way to cook poached and soft and hard boiled eggs

Cons: a bit hard to get the eggs out without burning your hands
only cooks three eggs at a time

Other Thoughts: appropriate item for Newegg to sell!

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Hard Boiled Eggs

Pros: Follow the instructions, use the right amount of water (yes, more for less eggs as counter-intuitive as it seems), and it works great.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: On sale this was a steal.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Makes perfect hard cooked eggs. Easy to clean.

Cons: Does not supply raw eggs. Must be careful not to touch the top while it is doing it's thing (gets hot).

Other Thoughts: After destroying my Grandmother's saucer, and making a smoke cloud that made my bro think the house was on fire, using this to make eggs works much better. When I do something else and forget about the eggs it doesn't cause problems.

5 out of 5 eggsHandy Little Device

Pros: Fast and easy to clean.

Makes awesome poached eggs.

Haven't made hard boiled yet (ran out of eggs) but that's up next. I used to use my rice cooker to make hard boiled eggs but this is just as handy. The shells are much easier to removed when you use this device (or a rice cooker) because they steam the eggs. Boiling them just leads to frustration when it is time to peel the shells off.

Cons: Measuring cup. Pretty sure you are hosed if you lose the cup. Might have to make some measurements to keep for future reference just in case.

Don't forget the cooking spray when poaching. Clean up is significantly easier if you spray first.

Other Thoughts: I think we are going to get a lot of use out of this little thing. Well worth the price.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Slick

Pros: This is a pretty slick little unit. Takes about 15 minutes to hard boil half a dozen eggs from start to finish. Small footprint and a lot easier than boiling water in a saucepan. Easy clean up. Does soft, medium and hard plus poached.

Cons: The only con is the water measuring cup which can be hard to read the water level to number of eggs being cooked with my older eyes. Solved that by marking a line on the outside with a ultra-fine sharpie at the 6 egg hard boil level which is the one I use.

Other Thoughts: The hard boiled eggs really peel a lot easier then the boiling water method--must be due to the steam cooking. Like it so much I ordered 2 more for my daughters for Xmas as they love doing deviled eggs for holidays. Got it for $15 which I think is a steal.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Works great, both hard boiling and poaching. A lot easier than boiling in a big pan of water and they seem to peel easier too (I just lower the tray into a bowl of cold water when they're done). Poaching is easy and fast - and they pop right out of the non-stick tray when done. Cord holder (wrap around) in the base to store the cord. Non-stick water heating surface is easy to clean.

Cons: Measuring cup for water doesn't fit under lit for storage. Some pretty precise amounts of water depending on number and type of eggs, so don't lose the measuring cup - but not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: Never used one of these before but it works quite well. Small, compact, and cooks eggs with 1/2 cup of water or less.
