5 out of 5 eggsFor ALL Wrist Blood Pressure Monitors

Pros: The Mayo Clinic says that the only way to get consistent correct readings from a Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor is to position your arm as if you are saluting the flag for the Pledge of Allegiance.

Pros: -none
-Maybe Good prank toy to hide and scare friends

Cons: -I have used a few cuffs in the past, gave inhuman readings. So unless my heart blew out of my chest and sitting on my keyboard I don't trust it.
-Not worth the time and effort to return it

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected

Pros: It works. A lot of these inexpensive monitors don't.

Cons: It talks. A lot.

Other Thoughts: I found an additional but undocumented useful feature when I accidentally dropped a coin next to my talking blood pressure monitor and it told me that "word on the street was the Gambinis had been taking heat from the DA's office on account of that business with Frankie the Snake."

4 out of 5 eggsEasy to use.

Pros: Accurate as compared to doctor's reading. Large easy to read display. Plenty of memory to log results for two people. Quick and easy to use. Voice feature is nice but not really necessary for me.

Cons: Using only two triple-A's will mean the batteries need to be replaced often. Wish it took double-A size and three instead of two. I wouldn't be surprised if I have to replace the batteries in less than a month using it three times a day.

TV or any noise in the background can cause it to read incorrectly. Remember to turn off any nearby sources of sound (like TV or Radio).

Other Thoughts: With any wrist BP monitor, it is important to make sure to locate the position of your wrist level to your heart. That is, if you are use to an arm style BP monitor, you probably just lay your arm on an arm-rest. You'll get high readings if you do this. You must remember to bend your elbow such that the monitor and at the same height as your heart. Because of this, it appears to be more finicky to get accurate readings. Just remember to have the wrist level to your heart and you'll get very accurate readings.
