Pros: pretty blue leds

Cons: not working this lasted about 3 months

1 out of 5 eggsDon't bother

Pros: Newegg shipped quickly. Liked that it came with a coffee grinder.

Cons: Bought it for Christmas and three months later it died with no warning.

Other Thoughts: Other reviewers said theirs died around the 3 months mark. I should have listened because mine did too. Using my cheap $10 Rival coffee pot as a backup...amazed that the almost $50 MSRP Black and Decker brand can't hold up to a $10 plastic brand. Unhappy.

5 out of 5 eggsWell worth the Cash $$$

Pros: Well built, programable 12 cup brew machine with carbon filter. Very classy design with controls for coffee brewing strength. Auto turn off after 2 hours and shows if the coffee is "fresh" (within 20 mins) or "not fresh" (over 20 mins old) Also has temp level control for the hot plate that keeps the coffee warm so you pick how hot to keep it after it's brewed.

Cons: Like others have said, the blue LED is a bit bright...it could be used as a backup night light.. :-)

Other Thoughts: Other reviews talk about coffee not staying warm but seems like they didn't fully read the manual. There is a temp control and can be turned up to a higher temp to what the user would like.

3 out of 5 eggsQuestionable Reliability

Pros: Lasted 1 year, which is more than some people got out of it. Not much I can really say about it. It made OK coffee and didn't take a ridiculous amount of time to do it. Comes with a replaceable water filter. Nice blue LEDs if you're into that.

Cons: Mine quit 1 month after the 1 yr. warranty expired. Most of the blue LEDs, including the power LED, quit working within the first 3 months. This was pretty annoying because I couldn't tell if it was even on with the power LED not working. Coffee tasted the same to my wife and I regardless of which setting you choose (mild/regular/strong). Mine took 10-15 minutes to brew a full pot, which is a little too long in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: Worked OK for 1 year despite most of the LEDs not working after about 3 months. I paid full price (probably msrp) at a different e-commerce site. I would have bought it from Newegg, but they weren't carrying it at the time. I'm quite disappointed that it only lasted 1 year at that price. As of this writing, Newegg is only asking 3/5 what I paid. I wouldn't feel as put out if I could have picked it up at that price and had it last for a year. Oh well, I'll be buying a different brand next. Sorry to be so vague about pricing, but I didn't want my review to get denied because I included pricing info, which can change quickly online. SAVE YOUR INVOICE/RECEIPT just in case yours quits as quickly as some other people's has.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Coffe Maker

Pros: Brews fast, auto brew and auto shut off when the pot is removes are great, looks good in the kitchen

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: does have a bright blue light that stays on, but doubles as a night light I guess you could say, I got used to it after the first night

3 out of 5 eggsExcellent design but not long lasting

Pros: Good coffee, dripless carafe, looks good.

Cons: Hot plate gave out after 2 months. B&D sent another one out, we'll see how long it lasts. Have another 8 months on the warranty. 1 yr not 3 yrs as advertised by Newegg.

Other Thoughts: Really like it when it worked. Hope the 2nd one lasts longer.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks Good When It Works

Pros: Makes good coffee, programable, looks good, carafe does not drip!, no drips on warmer either.

Cons: -Without a coffee maker now because it died within 2 weeks of use (about 45 days after I bought it). Powers on but will not brew or heat warmer.

-Needed to put adjustable warming plate temp up to Max, but it did keep the coffee hot then.

Other Thoughts: B&D want the cut off plug with the date code and seven and a half beans for return shipping. Also said that there's only a 1 year warranty on this, not 3 like the egg says. I will be sending in for a replacement but spending an extra eight bucks stinks. Knowing this I would have purchased another model for less.

4 out of 5 eggsLooks Great but DOA on First one

Pros: Stainless Steel looks nice. Indicator, programmability, and cool nice blue light.

Cons: The first one is a DOA. Filter design looks cheap.

Other Thoughts: Newegg replaced my first DOA unit in one week. Service is still the best from newegg. The only thing that I missed is the shipping that I paid to send back the DOA unit.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The carafe does not drip while pouring.
Does not drip onto hot plate when carafe is removed.
Looks good enough to leave out on counter when not in use.

Cons: "Not Fresh" symbol shows up after only 20 minutes, would be nice if it was user adjustable.

Other Thoughts: If just for the no drip carafe, this is a great coffee maker.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Shipped quickly. Did brew quickly when it was working.

Cons: Hot plate kept coffee too cool for my tastes; I drink slowly and like it piping hot out of the carafe so that it's still warm when I'm finished. Brew strengths didn't taste any different. Coffee maker has since stopped working and now works only as a clock.

Other Thoughts: Ought to get over my caffeine addiction so I stop buying these paperweights.
