Pros: Drip catcher is helpful for keeping things neat and tidy. Steamer basket makes preparing healthy meals a snap.

Cons: You will have to experiment with the right ratio of water to rice, based on the recommendations, in order to avoid browning on the bottom.

Other Thoughts: Everyone should have a rice/steamer pot in their lives. Take a look at Roger Ebert's blog and/or book about how indispensable it is to healthy & happy living.

Pros: it cooks perfect rice every time. i cook parboiled rice and i love my rice firm. the price was outstanding and i got 2 day shipping too. i think you can also cook other things with this product.

Cons: The warming function will burn the rice if you leave it in there very long.

Cons: I held onto it for a few months before i started using it. I got about 10 or so uses out of it before the top fell apart, screws and all into my rice. Its fun trying to get the top off with all that steam coming out.

Cons: Wrong Advertising, you can cook 8 cups of rice. I was told using this rice cooker with 8 cups of uncooked rice, can give you 16 cups of cooked rice. There may be rice variety can give 2 cups of cooked rice from 1 cup of uncooked rice, but it is not the case generally.

This is a innovation. A rice cooker that can give 16 cups of rice from 8 cups of rice - A solution for the world hunger.

Received and opened the item yesterday. Returning it today.

Other Thoughts: Used to cook for a dinner party of 7 adults, 2 children. Cooked the recommended 7 measures of rice and it worked to perfection! Used it several times in its steamer function and it did the job each and every time. Couldn't ask for anything better.

Cons: The pan is very thin. I could crush it with my bare hands. In fact it arrived bent and I straightened it with my hands. It does work though and it frees up a burner so Im using it
