I'm willing to put a bet of the payment price that it's impossible to fit 17 full size wine bottles in it. First off, in the picture you see cans of beer creatively stacked in the bottom of the cooler. This is done to hide the fact that over 30% of the interior space is lost due to bulged plastic. Second, the shelves are cad cam designed to fit around the bulge. Not useful at all. After seeing the design of the interior, I have little hope for its performance. I'd tell you if it worked if UPS hadn't of delivered it upside down - and thus needing 24 hours at least to drain the oil. Other Thoughts: I bought this because I wanted to brew some beer in a couple of canisters, as of right now - due to only the exterior measurements posted, I can only brew one at a time. Had I known this, I would never have purchased this. Product is good for college kids needing to keep some cans cool, but it's definitely not as exciting as the description made it out to be.
