3 out of 5 eggscheap - wont pop the last kernels

Pros: it pops pop corn

Cons: overpriced - found better ones for less at Bed Bath and Beyond!
There is always 4-5 kernals left that it wont pop because the air blows so hard that the last kernels cant cook

Other Thoughts: shop your local stores for this type of thing

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Popcorn

Pros: - Makes great popcorn (buy good popcorn)
- I have never used the butter tray but I imagine it works fine.
- Very few un-popped kernels.
- This thing is FAST. It will make popcorn faster than your microwave pop could. So it can be a challenge to get your butter ready AND your popcorn at the same time... with a little practice, you can have it down to a fine art.

Cons: - No On/Off Switch. Not at all a show stopper.
- As mentioned, sometimes the popcorn takes a while or gets sort of stuck coming out... almost like too much popping all at once. The way to remedy this is to tilt the popper slightly forward so gravity helps with the popcorn coming out. I usually just stick a spoon under the one end... or simple sticky rubber feet would also work.

5 out of 5 eggsGood purchase

Pros: Takes less than 2 minutes to pop all the kernels.
Doesn't burn any of the popcorn.
The unit hardly needs to get cleaned.
Shuts down on it's own. (even though you shouldn't go too far for safety purposes)

Cons: As noisy as a hairdryer.
Missing an on/off switch.

Other Thoughts: Some people complained about some kernels being found in the bowl but unless you soak your popcorn in butter, you can simply re-use them the next time you make popcorn. An on/off switch would have been nice but for 20$ I can't really complain. Especially when you consider the fact that making your own popcorn is like 80% less expensive than buying microwave popcorn.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This popper requires no oil, butter or anything else. Just pour the kernels into the chute and plug the popper in. It took around 1 1/2 minutes to finish. No oil to make a mess and it hardly needed to be cleaned, just shook out a few leftover hulls. When it cools down, it's ready to go back in the box for storage. Popping it yourself is a lot cheaper than buying the microwavable bags and is far healthier.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Air Popper

Pros: I have been using in my home theater for about a year. Makes great popcorn without fail every time. Just buy on sale, get a half gallon of Orville Redenbacher at Costco and you will be set for a year.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Get a large bowl as it pops every kernel. Occasionally spits a few on the counter when it first starts.

5 out of 5 eggsFast, healthy, cheap popcorn

Pros: This hotair popper requires no oil, butter, greases, nor anything else. Simply pour the kernels (around 1/4 cup) into the chute and plug the popper. It takes around a minute to reach the temperature for popping, and around 30 seconds to finish. No butter means no mess (and no cholesterol), and the thing never needs cleaning. Once it cools down, it's ready for storage. Moreover, buying the kernels is far cheaper than buying microwavable packets. Because it is a simple mechanism (fan + heater), it is quite resilient. The general assembly feels sturdy, including the cable.

Cons: It is rather noisy, like an average hair dryer. And because it uses hot air, the bowl used to collect the popcorn can get hot: avoid metal bowls, use plastic / ceramic if possible.

Other Thoughts: It can pop ALL the kernels, but it is tricky. A couple of runs and one learns to tilt the unit slightly back, then forward, to keep kernels inside the chute and thus pop them without burning them. Leaving the unit unattended can yield very different outcomes depending on the amount of kernels in the chute: too many, and they stick and burn. Too few, and the fly all over the place.

4 out of 5 eggsPops Excellent

Pros: Pops my popcorn quickly and excellently - very few unpopped kernels, no burnt kernels.

The kernels pop to be bigger than how they would be made on the stove. Tastes delicious!

Cons: The lid/cover is horrible. The plastic gets very soft after each use, which is really disconcerting.

You're supposed to use the little lid cover for butter, but it can't melt the butter in the time it pops the popcorn. When it does, it's delicious, but I'd rather melt the butter on the stove so I can mix it into the popcorn as it's popping. I wish they hadn't included this feature so they could have made the cover from something that wouldn't soften/get so hot.

Other Thoughts: I've seen people complain online about how it spits out unpopped kernels. It spits out maybe 10 per sitting, that's probably something like 5% or less. Considering how much I waste when I try to cook popcorn on the stove? It's a massive improvement. The corn tastes better than on the stove, pops bigger, and is healthier (so long as you don't slather it in too much butter).

Doesn't have a switch, as noted in other reviews. Kind of sucks, but oh well. At least it's not a fire-hazard when not in use.

5 out of 5 eggsDo it yourself Popcorn

Pros: Pops up fast but use a BIG Bowl to catch it!

Cons: Cord is a bit short. would be nice if it was a 6 foot with a switch on it.... Time to go to Home Depot!

Other Thoughts: Get your favorite popcorn seasoning and use a butter flavored Spray like Crisco or Pam to spray your popcorn after its popped then dust with seasoning, shake the bowl a bit and respray and dust. Using a liquid spray butter makes the popcorn a bit soggy. Still White Chedar cheese is GREAT!! Throw on a VERY light dusting of garlic powder for a great taste.
