Decent for the price.
Pros: Boils water
Cons: No on/off switch
Other Thoughts: Draws 730 watts (+/- 10 watts) -- For a household kettle, this is kind of low. But on the plus side, it is doubtful that it will trip your circuit breaker. This is also good for use with a generator (RV or camping trips) as it won't exceed the limits of the generator.

Great kettle value
Pros: I have had this same kettle for around 20 years. It just recently began to rust out and leak a little bit. It has been quick and reliable all these years and I'll definitely buy another to replace it. It heats water quickly and is simple to use. Just add water and plug it in. It's quiet and has a whistling sound to tell you when the water is hot. A great feature is that it stays cool on the outside - safer when little hands are around.
Cons: You cannot open it up to clean scale, etc. out of the inside.

Presto! You've got hot water!
Pros: Small footprint, doesn't take up much space.
Cons: The small size and capacity may be a problem for larger families. No direct access to the insides for cleaning.
Other Thoughts: I've always kept a stovetop kettle for coffee, tea and oatmeal, but found the slow heat up time annoying.
