Pros: This fryer is absolutely amazing. Very spacious (at least for my needs), heats up quickly, temps are accurate and remain stable for the duration of cooking. Even when you're done cooking this appliance continues to impress. Almost everything can be taken off of the main chassis and cleaned separately or in the dish washer. With the turn of a switch the oil automatically filters and drains (after it has cooled down to an acceptable temperature) into a tub below the fryer for further use or disposal.

Cons: The metal piece at the top of the basket that helps hold the handle came bent angled upwards but was easily bent back to the right place.

Other Thoughts: For the reviewers who claim that it leaks oil all over the floor... The fryer has a "MAX" oil level line indicated inside. It is a bit hard to see since it is only indented in the reservoir and not outlined at all. The oil tub was designed to only hold the MAX indicated in the reservoir. Just because the reservoir may hold a few gallons more than the max line suggests doesn't mean the oil tub will too. Use your head and follow the instructions.

Pros: Heats up fast, it cleans really easy, looks great in the kitchen!

Cons: the handle on the basket stick way out when in use. Could easily be knocked off of the counter and burn someone if its ran into. Make sure the handle is turned away from walking traffic!!

Other Thoughts: I hate the smell of oil in my house afterwards but there is no way around that. I've owned a "Fry Daddy", plastic piece of junk ......the T-Fal is the real deal. My wife loves it!

Pros: Love the oil cleaning feature. All features work perfectly.

Pros: Very simple and easy to operate. Heats up fast, stays at set temperature quite well even when frying. Large basket and basin. Cover has a window so you check on your food. Easy to clean all parts (they are even machine washable!). Automatic draining and filtering of oil is REALLY nice. You won't burn yourself on the housing. Fast shipping (and free) from Newegg is always a plus!

Cons: This hasn't even been a problem for me, but you can't really completely close the lid when the basket handle is extended, but the top is still covered. Again, this isn't even an issue, I just noticed it.

Other Thoughts: After working as a line cook for some years, I was used to frying (deep frying, tempura, etc). I've been wanting a deep fryer for some years now and decided on this one and am really happy with it's performance. It's a little different than what I was used to with an professional restaurant sized fryer, but it's perfect for home use. You can cook up quite a lot of items at the same size thanks to the large basin. So far I've made french fries, fried shrimp and fried tofu and all turned out perfect.

Pros: NONE WHAT SO EVER

Cons: DOES NOT HEAT UP TO HIGHEST TEMP, DOES NOT HEAT UP FAST ,TEMPS ARE INACCURATE , DURING COOKING TEMPS DROP, LEAKS OIL..FOOD COOKS GREASY

Pros: Heats fast, cooks well and it has good capacity. I have had 10 deep fryers and this one is the best so far.

Cons: Taking the lid off is somewhat annoying. I have had pop up lids and those are kinda nice.

Other Thoughts: This is for all the people that didn't pass math class and oil spill situation. What happens if you try to putt 70 oz of fluid in a 50 oz cup?

Hmmmm...the important thing with is fryer is not to overfill the fry basin, because the draining container can only handle that much oil.

Other Thoughts: you really gotta wait for the oil to cool before you put it in "storage" mode........or you will be cleaning up a mess.

Pros: Can't think of any at the moment.

Cons: Weak and cheap construction. The filtration method is very, very poorly designed. It leaked oil all over my counter that took 45 minutes to clean up the first time I tried. I re-read everything twice, tried several more times to fill it with just a little bit of water to test it, and each time, it leaked through the bottom filter, over the oil catch box, and all over the counter.

Other Thoughts: I doubt I'll buy another T-Fal product if this is the kind of quality they produce.

Cons: The writing for temps wipe off with soap and water.
It drains oil on top of the storage container then onto the floor if the part that holds the oil for cooking is not sitting absolutely perfect inside the deep fryer's shell. Happened twice already, and it's not fun coming in the next morning and seeing oil all over the counter and floor. The first oil container broke during washing, it fell on the floor and a chip came off the corner, had to buy another from T-fal. Cheap plastic maybe? Also the lighted indicator is near impossible to view without leaning into the deep fryer. Good idea, bad design. A fail safe for the oil draining would of been nice.

Other Thoughts: Had good luck with other T-Fal products, specifically their deep fryers. I regret purchasing this item due to the Cons listed. If everything worked like it's suppose to, I'd be happy with it. Main issue being the oil draining on the lid issue. I now have to drain it while watching it, to avoid a big mess. So much for automatic.

Pros: Item arrive quick in double boxed, the oil drainage works great, been looking for something like this for long, is much easier to clean up, the oil storage box is solid (didn't melt even drain after cook hot oil), overall is a good build unit.

Cons: but the indictor light is hard to see (behind the temperature dialer), also could use highter temperature, 374F degree is the highest, some foods not get crispy unless over cook.

Other Thoughts: wish it will have a higher temperature model in the future.
