Pros: STUNNING Customer Service....was missing a critical part (see previous review)...called Customer Service...talked to Ashley who found the part number and verified it was in stock and had it shipped that day (today). I should have my part soon and making espresso.

Cons: Well...the plastic water tank seems fragile.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding Durability

Pros: With annual maintenance, I have been using the original "saeco classico" stainless since 2004, (I do the maintenance myself). Overheated the pump once, but took apart the pump, and its a simple plastic ball that cleaned/polished with toothpaste and re-assembled works fine since then (5yrs ago).

Its a excellent quality, italian-design, mid-tier, pump-espresso machine. Still made in the EU.

*easy to maintain
*easy to rebuild
*all parts available online

Cons: Pressure Portafilter accumilated coffee deposits, somewhat difficult to clean if not flushed with water after every use.

No Pressure/Temp Gauges. (but could upgrade yourself IF! handy)
No separate boiler for steam.

4 out of 5 eggsre: Saeco machine

Pros: Makes good espressos, reliable, easy to clean. The construction is solid.

Cons: - The light to allow the operation comes on quick, if used immediately the coffee will be warm - give it another 3-5 minutes before making an espresso, it will be hot.
- Makes loud 'tractor' noises while working, the upper tray is somewhat loose making vibration noises.

Other Thoughts: I have owned mine for the past 2 years and made 2 coffees per day, I would average the number to 700 espressos so far. The machine paid itself back vs. the overpriced Starbucks ones. It is fun to try different coffee blends. My favorite is Costco's Jose's Vanilla Nut beans.
My recommendation is to get a good grinder.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat espresso machine!

Pros: Good pump, makes a great espresso. Good Crema. Bought one when it first came out and never turned back.

Cons: A little on the small side physically but it makes up for it elsewhere.

Other Thoughts: I have been through several other brands of espresso machines. This is the one trust me. It works great and make excellent espresso.
