Pros: I have tested so many power supplies with this device, it all ways run great. Never had any issues at all. Gets the correct percentage. I really recommended for your to purchase it.

1 out of 5 eggsmight want to reconsider

Pros: it was pretty and so was the box that it came in

Cons: it didn't even last long enough to do the testing i bought it for ! i ran it through a few psu connectors before hearing something inside short out while testing some pcie connectors which reset the psu...hopefully it didn't fry the psu. it seems all computer parts these days especially have an unacceptably high rate of defect. and i'll probably try another one.

5 out of 5 eggsvery nice :)

Pros: 1. Good for the average user to get used to reading numbers and whatnot :)
2. Very easy to read LCD screen with nice blue glow.
3. Makes my job a heck of a lot easier but still makes me work to trouble shoot an issue.
4. it will test them all so BUY IT!!!

Cons: 1. The directions.....are terrible I thought. The average Joe might have a tiny issue but it shouldn't be to bad?

2. Might have been a good idea to include a little zip up pouch for it or some sort of cover like that.

Other Thoughts: It does what it says. it test a lot of different connectors and it so far is very accurate as far as I can tell.

5 out of 5 eggsApevia, Read My Post Carefully

Pros: My reply to Apevia's comments to my previous post below, see Other Thoughts

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Apevia Manufacturer Comment to previous post: Apevia, read my post carefully. I have had this unit three (3) years. You said it SHOULD only beep when a rail is out of voltage range. I know this. Are you telling me that there is something wrong with my hearing?? :0) It beeps with every power lead from dozens of computers I have tested, every time. Please do not tell me what it SHOULD do, that is no help. I am telling you what it IS doing when used. Ok?

5 out of 5 eggsGood Little Unit

Pros: A bad Power Supply is impossible to accurately diagnose unless you swap it out with a different one, and what if THAT one is bad and you don't know it? I have used my Apevia PS Tester for 3 years and still going strong. In a few seconds it has saved me countless hours of head-scratching when a problem computer comes through. Apevia has included a small checksheet on the proper voltage ranges for each PS lead, and all you do is compare it with the readout on the LED screen. How easy do you want it?? There is only one minor irritation, see Other Thoughts below.

Cons: None, but see Other Thoughts below.

Other Thoughts: Ok, maybe Apevia has changed this since I purchased mine, so if they have please ignore the following. But... the unit constantly beeps regularly whenever it is turned on, whether a PS lead is bad or not. I do not see the reason for that, and it is annoying. Come on, Apevia, how hard is it to make it beep only when a rail is bad or out of tolerance range?? Otherwise, shut up! ;0)

Manufacturer Response:

The power supply should only beep when one or more of the readings are out of the normal range. It should not constantly be beeping unless there is a problem.

4 out of 5 eggsGood buy

Pros: Works exactly as advertised. Couldn't be simpler to use.

Cons: I wish the SATA connection was keyed like the others are - it's not exactly clear which side is the notched side, and I have to be careful and always look twice when I use it. The 20/24 pin connection is also a bit tight on the connection, just be sure to pull from the plastic mold when removing it and not the body of the tester.

2 out of 5 eggsDied

Pros: Cheap, useful tool.
Lasted the 1.5min need to test my PSU, then it died

Cons: LCD died, only half of characters are visible, only used it about a minute before it happened. Still works but not easy to read.

Costs 1/3 of its value to RMA

Other Thoughts: Easy to use especially if you have a normal PSU to compare the results, otherwise instructions and when it will or will not beep are a bit unclear. Could be simpler.

5 out of 5 eggsGood little tester

Pros: Displays voltages. Beeps when something is out of the correct range.

Cons: plugs are a little too tight, but it should break in after a bit of use.
