Pros: - Kept my motherboard and cpu from being cooked!
- fairly large, I have an Asus ROG rampage V extreme ( EATX Mobo ) and had room to spare!

Cons: - Not exactly a con, but just throwing this out there. It comes rolled up ( or at least mine did ) so I'd suggest getting a few heavy items such as books, pop vinyls, potatoes, whatever you got and sitting it on this for a few hours to flatten it out.

Other Thoughts: All and all I R8 8 / 8 m8! All joking aside, it's a good product and I'd like to thank Startech for keeping my goodies from being fried :) !

Pros: Does the job it is supposed to.

Cons: For those getting into electronics, they know they need it, but don't know how to ground it. A simple card showing them how to properly ground the mat would make it universally great.

Pros: Good mat, right size for its use.
Nice surface finish that looks like it can survive lots of use.

Cons: Ah bummer this is missing a snap attachment for the wrist ground strap. Also the ground pin cable from the mat, the head needs to be a bit more diameter for a better fit in the outlet ground plug as it tends to pop out easily.

Other Thoughts: Five stars no problem if it had the wrist strap attachment point.

Pros: Nice thick mat. The white surface is nice for finding parts. Grounding cable is pretty long. Just a nice quality mat

Pros: If you're serious about ESD (and you should be!) then you need to get one of these. I am (mainly) employed in the two-way radio business; but do the occasional computer related job. Both of these markets nowadays use equipment that can't stand the slightest electro-static charge. I've seen quite a few radios and computers destroyed by "improper handling". Get one of these and you will reduce that risk by at least 50 percent. I've had half a dozen of these (not exact same brand/model) and a few weeks ago my second one "changed owner", whilst on the road, without my permission. Had to get another one, naturally; and this one was the perfect fit. I used to pay close to a hundred bucks for one of these, many years ago. So get one now, even if you use it only once!

Cons: None, really. It's a must-have item. And Newegg's shipping was very reasonable. Just a few bucks, so they obviously found a cheaper way to ship these (as opposed to some of the other reviews you'll find here).

Pros: nice quick customer service (wasn't sure what side you put stuff on) and worked fine

Cons: box it came in looked like it had been left out in the rain and then put in a trash compactor 5 times

Pros: Lays flat, white surface makes it easy to find screws and such

Pros: A must for anyone building computers, Warning, Used in tandum with a wrist strap this is the system that is needed to ensure no e.s.d. damage, should not be used by itself.

Cons: Not a Con at all, originally didn't like the white but found it perfect for the use with the ability to see screws and other small parts.

Other Thoughts: The only way this mat works and how it works is, You attatch the strap to the case and put it on the mat, this equalizes anything attached securely to the case, now you use a wrist strap to the case or the metal clip of the strap to the mat and now you are equalized, if your not strapped to it your not equalized and could cause a discharge. I find so many people don't realize this.

Pros: It corrected a static damaged laptop. I tried everything before I bought this. Then disassembled the laptop to the mat, put it back together and the laptop came back to life! It works!

Cons: Works as it should, sturdy, and easy to unroll without curling back.

Pros: I've been looking for an anti-static mat because I want to be "safe". Could I have spent this money elsewhere? Sure. But meh, bought the mat, arrived within 2 days (thanks 2 Day Shopper! lol..), opened it, and as expected, quality material from a reputable company.

It's clean and professional looking for all you nerds out there.

Stop stressing it. Just purchase this and move on with your life.
