4 out of 5 eggsIt's handy to have

Pros: It was a great price when i bought it and i use it a lot, better than the random household tools i used to replace components or make repairs

Cons: Some of the bits are cheap and break with little force

Other Thoughts: For the price i can't really complain. It suites my needs fine.

4 out of 5 eggsExplanation for Soldering Iron...

Pros: Everything you should want or need for basic PC and electronics dis/assembly and repair. Nothing feels cheap or poorly made inspite of the price. Everything works as expected and intended with minor caveats. And one major problem...

Cons: Doesn't come with a basic screwdriver, instead you have a universal ratchet/driver with bits that are a PitA to get out of their holders, and will not hold into the ratchet firmly and can get pulled out by whatever you're using them on. You also have to hold the very slender tip of the ratchet to get the ratchet effect. You also have thin jewelry drivers for getting screws finger-tight, but not much more. That can be useful in case you don't want to accidentally strip threading. Would've been nice to see an actual basic screwdriver though, or at least some thicker versions of the jewelry drivers. I have some, and most anyone else should too, so not a deal-breaker.
A measuring tape, even a small one, would've been nice too. Something else I already have though, and knew that when getting this.
Doesn't outright tell you what that tube holding what looks like a spring is for, it's the solder resin for the soldering iron. It threads through the hole in the cap as needed.
So many different wire cutters/strippers. Why are there so many? Meh.
Now all of this was KNOWN due to having pictures and descriptions.
Here is what got an egg deducted:
The soldering iron itself is poorly made. Now I don't pretend to be an expert on soldering irons here, but I am cautious. I read a few reviews claiming it started smoking and then burst into flame. I can believe both claims as I tried testing this under safety and supervision. Sure enough, it started smoking within seconds of plugging it in. There is no switch to turn it off too. I unplugged it after the smoke got to about the level of a lit cigarette. Blew out as much smoke as I could, checking for ash flying out. There was none. I dipped it into some cold water, took it apart, and dried it off. An hour later I put it back together and retried it. I heard snapping and crackling for about 2-3 minutes. After that, the metal shaft started to turn a distinct shade of yellow, like it should. I looked inside the heat vent and saw the element inside glowing red. More smoke soon started coming out but not as much as before. Eventually the smoking stopped and it was usable.

TL;DR: Plug it into a socket with a switch, let it smoke for a few seconds, unplug it, dunk it in cold water, dry it off, plug it back in and supervise as it finishes getting into a useable state. Keep the water handy if it bursts into flame.

This is something that nobody should have to go through for a cheap soldering iron in a cheap toolkit. Largely because this is a toolkit meant for younger technicians going to school for electronics repair and similar fields. This thing could likely start a fire, I have little doubt. Anyone buying this, please pass on this information to whoever is going to use it, or take out the soldering iron entirely. Put a decent normal screwdriver there in it's place.

Other Thoughts: Unthinkable... I mean seriously Rosewill... Please replace this soldering iron with something that doesn't need to go through hoops to be useable and not such a severe fire hazard. Children could be using this kit for crying out loud!

4 out of 5 eggsWorks for me

Pros: All the tools you could need for a light to moderate electrical repair job.

Cons: The screwdriver could really use a ball bearing, or other gripping method, to hold the bits. Friction works on light repairs, but I've had fastners hold on to the bit and pull it from the driver.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Starter Kit Or For Your Truck.

Pros: Has Good Starter Tools. Cheap testers and not well made long lasting stuff if used all the time. If you get this as a home use or just as a backup kit then I would recommend..

Cons: Cheaply made and not of good material. Not for everyday all the time use.

Other Thoughts: As a gift or backup I would buy again.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Value and Wide Assortment of Tools for DIY'ers

Pros: -Wide Assortment of Tools (though I feel a few or completely useless)
-Great Value for DIY'ers (Bought this on Sale for $33)
-Nice carrying case with nice carrying solution for each tool

Cons: -I snapped the blade while cutting, so not the most solidly built tool (though in its defense, I was using it in a way I probably shouldn't have been)
-Not intended for people who intend to use these tools nearly everyday or build or repair things for a living

Other Thoughts: I've used these tools to build 2 Desktops, upgrade a Laptop, extract a pesky Hard Drive from a terrible External Hard Drive Case, and done a few 'around the house' work.

5 out of 5 eggscomputer tool kit

Pros: I have had my tool kit for a few months, bought this for my son, we are both in computer repair class in college. great selection of bits, ratchet screwdriver bends 90 degrees for leverage, lots of room in case for extras, put a flash light, multimeter, magnifying glass and a couple of specialty tool sets in case no problem

Cons: ratchet screwdriver kinda cheap, but hasn't broke yet. could use a long shaft flat tip and phillips screwdriver for screws sunk in wells. an extension shaft for the bits would be nice. these pieces can be added.
