5 out of 5 eggsIt works.

Pros: It works!

I had someone bring over a dead Desktop, I also had a old Rosewill PSU that I shorted out accidentally while trying an experiment with a cheap, high flow fan from the Shack.

Well, I was able to show the person their PSU was fine, and it was their MB that was bad.
I also found out my Rosewill is still working within specifications 10 years later.

And the PSU on and old desktop I was about to toss is indeed bad, and cause for constant issues I used to have.

Size, wasn't expecting it to be so small, about the size of my smartphone and fits in my pocket. Length is 5 inches, diagonal is 5 1/2"

Simple and easy to use, just make sure to read all warnings

Cons: Not sure there is any, Rosewill has been good to me so far. 10 years+

Other Thoughts: If you are thinking about getting one, but are on the fence... get one. It may save you the stress of wondering if you rPSU is bad or not.

It would be nice if future PSU's had some thing similar built-in

Beats using a multi-meter to check each pin/wire

2 out of 5 eggsDisplay defective

Pros: Useful functions, attractive.

Cons: Display is jumbled and unreadable. Status lights work correctly. I suspect the display cable is defective. Need tiny screwdriver to open and check. Got RMA# but not worth $12 shipping cost.

Other Thoughts: Newegg and Rosewell were willing to help, I just didn't bother.

3 out of 5 eggsQuestionable to Recommend

Pros: The one i received works as it should.
Led Display shows voltages.
Display is easy to understand.

Cons: The connector to the board itself seem to be rather loose and can easily be pushed in, its only a matter of time until the 4 pin connector breaks due to this.

The construction feels like it is only a matter of time to break.

Other Thoughts: The instructions are alright. For the price I'm unsure if I would recommend this as a starter tester for someone.

For someone that needs a cheap tester that already knows what their doing I may recommend this.

1 out of 5 eggsNot great

Pros: It does light up with an active power supply

Cons: Screen is barely readable and flickers
Flimsy even though its has an aluminum case

Other Thoughts: I suggest paying up for a better tester that will has clearer output and will last.

4 out of 5 eggsNice little gadget

Pros: It has a lovely LCD display and it is very simple. All ports are easily labelled, the device is compact, and very easy to use. It displays very detailed data about all of the voltages on the screen and if you connect something wrong like, I forgot the 4 or 8 pin CPU connector the first time...it lit up the entire screen, bright red and there was a remark at the bottom that said "FAIL" and it displayed all voltages except the missing ones from the 4 pin (what I used) connector. I added the 4 pin connector and it lit up bright blue the entire screen and had a "PASS" at the bottom of the screen with the voltages nicely displayed along with how many milliseconds it took to get the reading I am assuming from the time I hit the power button...basically I believe that to be a reading on how long it took the voltage to reach it's stable level. One of the best parts? It is Cheap!

Cons: The instructions...if you need them, which they would be good for users that do not have a tech certification....honestly this is a tool for techs but it is so easy I think anyone would want to use it to see if their power supply is operating at this price point. But for such a device with a display that has this much information, for a non technical type I would say, good luck with the horrible instructions printed in several languages, which for each language is in extremely small print on one folded panel of the single sheet...in short the instructions are utterly useless nearly. Possibly some of the worst I have seen in a long time.

Other Thoughts: I took a full egg off for the instructions, which seems harsh but they really are some of the worst I have seen in recent memory or...at all maybe. If you are a tech or a power user that knows a bit about electricity then, no problem. I do love the price and the function of the device, very much so far.
