5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected!

Pros: Works well right out of the box. Very small (a good thing) and easy to take with the rest of my tools. Lets me know when it's time to replace PSU's and I could see it saving me from a few bad ones!

Cons: None so far.

3 out of 5 eggsQuestionable

Pros: Easy to use and read voltages.

Cons: The +12.5V2 shows as 'LL' on one of my supplies. I thought it might be bad, so I tested it against a good supply in a running machine, and it also indicates the same 'LL'. As it turns out, it seems all my PSUs on all my computers indicate 'LL'. I question the accuracy of this tester.

1 out of 5 eggsSave your money

Pros: No pros just CONS. These power supply testers are just a waste of money. Sure they will detect voltage but what they fail to do is to test those voltages under a load. The tester could show that your 12v rail is supplying 12.67 volts but once you connect a HD or CD-rom or anything else that pulls power that 12.67 volts could drop to 5v under the load. If you really want to test your power supply buy a cheap multimeter for $9.99 and back-probe the connectors while the power supply is being loaded.

Cons: With a multimeter you can observe the voltages while using the computer which will help in finding intermittent problems which can occur with voltage drops. These power supply testers only show voaltage with no load on the rails.

Other Thoughts: Buy a multimeter and save your money.

4 out of 5 eggsPST-3 Power supply tester

Pros: This is the first power tester I've owned so my opinion is somewhat limited. It does have a clear easy to read digital display. Case is made of sturdy aluminum which gives it an edge up on others with a plastic case. It has connections for testing 20 and 24 pin ATX power, also for P4, P6, and P8 connectors. Molex connectors, SATA power connector, and floppy.

Cons: The only complaint I have so far is the poorly written manual, written in broken English. I will have to search some tech sites for proper explanation on how to use all features.
