5 out of 5 eggsGood Tools

Pros: They worked perfectly for removing the pins without damaging them.

Cons: It would help if there was a small book that indicated the pin type and the tool to use on it. They do offer a description on the back, but not having prior knowledge of the pin names it slowed things down just a bit.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
Thank you for your purchase and we hope you'll enjoy this item for many years to come.

4 out of 5 eggsgood for the price

Pros: this is a decent kit. If you arent taking out many pins this is a good choice but if you plan on doing alot i would get a better 2 prong tool

Cons: 2 pin a little thick

Other Thoughts: in 6 pin plugs sometimes the pins only have a finger on one side. I found it easier to figure out which side they were one and just shove 1 prong of the 2 prong tool into the plug.

5 out of 5 eggsI did a whole power supply

Pros: I managed to remove all the pins on a Corsair AX860 for sleeving without any of the tools breaking.

Cons: None... well it was sort of expensive. Adding an extra $20 to the price of sleeving my power supply ended up costing me $100 total, which is pretty crazy for a cosmetic enhancement.

Other Thoughts: Before buying this tool, I made my own out of really strong metal. It was very brittle and managed to snap when I made a mistake and applied a bit of sideways pressure. This tool bends instead of breaking, which is good because it's pretty easy to screw up, especially as a beginner.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsDecent beginner tools

Pros: - Relatively easy to use solution for pulling out power supply and fan cables, great for beginners.

- Tools were robust enough to get the job done, though some care should be taken while using the 2 pronged ATX pin remover as they are very thin, but get into tighter connectors.

Cons: - The tools are very small, aprox 4" long and 3/4" wide for the motherboard and fan / floppy tools. While not an issue for my small hands, they could be a bit harder to handle for people with thicker fingers.

Other Thoughts: I have seen a lot of flack concerning this product, on newegg and from other sources, mentioning the cheap build of the tools and how easily the 2 pronged ATX pin remover would bend.

Having been in the modding scene for several years now i can't stress enough the precision and control required to properly use tools of this scale. Please take your time when when inserting them and be gentle, these are not industrial quality tools but they will get the job done.

Perhaps a bit more expensive then they need to be, i have seen this kit for cheaper elsewhere, hovering around 12-17$.

There are far higher quality options on the market for modding power supply cables, however, you can expect to pay more for each individual tool separately. You may also find it a bit harder to procure higher quality tools for this purpose depending on where you live. This kit should get you started nicely, or get you out of a pinch with broken terminals / wires.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Work well for their purpose.

Cons: Can be seen as cheaply made compared to others.

Other Thoughts: These work just fine if used properly. The only way you'll be breaking these is if you're not using it how it was intended, or getting too rough. You cannot man-handle these, it takes finesse.

Remember that when purchasing this product. Use with care.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
Thank you for choosing our product.
We value your opinion and we will tell our factory overseas to make sure they will make them ALL strudy and not have some sturdy ones and some easily to bend or break.
Again, we thank you for choosing our products.

5 out of 5 eggsNice little tool set

Pros: Good kit for assisting in sleeving needs. I use in it in conjunction with other tools, and it has been very handy and reliable.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: lot of negative reviews here.... If you are bending steel tools in a delicate pin removal procedure, than you are clearly doing something wrong, and should probably not be working inside a computer to begin with, much less messing with delicate electrical connections.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
Thank you for your review.
We hope after you got this item everything made much easier for you.
We hope you enjoy this item.

2 out of 5 eggsAlright...I guess

Pros: So Newegg got this to me in two days 5 eggs to new egg themselves. For the tool its a total piece... atleast the atx pin remover is. It is very flemsy, I modded mine to give it a little bit of grip with electrical tape.

Cons: read pros

3 out of 5 eggsNot that great

Pros: They work for what they were made for

Cons: They don't work that well. Have to use pliers to pull ATX power pins out from the connector after sticking the pin remover from the front.

Other Thoughts: I looked up a quick fix, and most I've found deal with using two staples to remove the pins instead of the actual pin remover itself.

1 out of 5 eggsTerribly made (besides molex tool)

Pros: The 4 pin molex tool is nice....

Cons: These removal tools seem of decent quality at first when you receive it. After using it for awhile you start to find little defects, such as the parts not lining up properly, or coming apart easily. The ATX pin remover tool broke on using it with the 24 pin connector, couldn't even take 1 pin out. Tried to use it on multiple pins and didn't even work (yes, I watched others doing it and tried various things to get it to work).

Other Thoughts: Wish I would have listened to some of the people in the reviews, thought nah I can get it to work.
