3 out of 5 eggsHouston...We have a problem!

This review is from: Rosewill REDBONE - Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: -Price
-Includes Front 120mm Red LED, and Rear 80/90mm fan(s).
-my video card fit without modifications
-can accommodate 3.5” floppy drive if needed.
-Bottom dust filter for PSU air intake, is easy to remove and clean.
-Decent air flow when utilizing all fan slots.

Cons: -Did NOT include anywhere near enough mounting hardware for standard ATX motherboard. (Only 6 mounting studs! Really?)
-Sharp edges on bottom of front panel screen.
-Having the PSU mounted in the bottom of the case required the use of a 12” 4pin extension cable to reach the 4pin CPU power plug on the motherboard.
-The USB 2.0 model should have a top PSU mounted version.
-Installing a standard size 120mm fan on lower side panel fan mount, makes contact with PSU, and prevents proper side panel installation! (Big problem!)

Other Thoughts: My biggest issue with this case is the fact that the side panel will not fit properly when a standard sized 120mm fan is installed on the panels lower fan mount.
A bad case design lets the fans outer casing make contact with the PSU, thus preventing the side panel from being installed properly.
You will Need to use an ultra slim 120mm fan should You wish to utilize that fan slot.

2 out of 5 eggsThere is a reason why it's cheap

This review is from: Rosewill REDBONE - Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: room for motherboard and other parts.
front fan glows brighter the faster it's going.
fans are relatively quiet, but i'm just comparing to my CPU fan.

Cons: holes for cable management are way too small to actually fit my cords in them.
front USB ports are upsidedown.
had to move my hard drive to the lowest part so i had enough room for the video card.

Other Thoughts: I honestly have no idea what the eSata port on the front is for.

5 out of 5 eggsCase

This review is from: Rosewill REDBONE - Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Good for the price. Attractive. Bottom has removable dust cover. Comes with a little speaker. Inexpensive.

Cons: I have many cases, some from the early 2000's. USB Ports are supposed to be facing down or in toward the MoBo. Missing 3 standoffs. Had to go hunt for some standoffs the right size. Power button and reset button could be a little bigger. I like to have a hard drive light.

Other Thoughts: My ATX Motherboard, giant CPU cooler and Hard drives all fit in it just fine. I have those right angle SATA connectors on my MoBo that always caused me problems in the past, I have access to them in this case. This is a Mid Tower case but still physically smaller than the other mid tower I have, which is what I wanted. I have more room to put the things I want in this case for some reason. They did not go crazy with all of the plastic "tool free" installation locks and parts which is what I wanted as well. I can just get into the case and switch out what I want fairly easy, just like most of my older cases. The drive bays can make the hard drive stick out into the Mobo too far, but I can deal with that. To change that feature you'd need a bigger case, which is what I wanted to stay away from. The back of the case is black and I like that too.

All in all, a good purchase. I'm happy.

4 out of 5 eggsUSB ports

This review is from: Rosewill REDBONE - Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Overall pretty decent. Nice front fan

Cons: USB ports suck. Have to plug every USB upside down and sometimes hard to get it in.

4 out of 5 eggsGood starter case

This review is from: Rosewill REDBONE - Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: -Nice overall design

-Bottom mounted PSU

-Plenty of drive bays for a lower budget build

Cons: -Not much room to work with

-Cable management is definitely a challenge

-The front audio jack produces a constant buzzing

-The front panel isn't the sturdiest thing I've seen

Other Thoughts: Overall, it's been a quality case for the price. My only issue has been with the placement of the bottom side fan port. I tried putting a standard 120x25mm fan on it, but the fan presses against the power supply. A 120x15mm fan fits just fine, but it seems like something I shouldn't have to figure out after buying the fans.

4 out of 5 eggsClean look

This review is from: Rosewill REDBONE - Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: - Light weight. I have a HAF 932, and it's a pain to move that case around.
- Fans are actually not too loud.
- I don't like too many LED lights on my cases, this case only have 1 from the fan.

Cons: - The front pops out too easily.

Other Thoughts: Great case overall, I would recommend this.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Case

This review is from: Rosewill REDBONE - Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Every thing was included, fans work great and the case is light and solid.

Cons: The entire front panel is garbage. USB ports are OK but reversed, headphone jack is completely unusable and there is a weird issue with the lighting. Also the red fan LED does not look as good as pictured.

Other Thoughts: Would not recommend this model. Would recommend a better model from the same company.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Cheap Case for Office PC!

This review is from: Rosewill REDBONE - Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: + Lightweight
+ Tool-less design for mounting works well enough
+ Front USB ports are at a nice position
+ Colors are subdued
+ Fans are quiet
+ Bottom mounted PSU

Cons: - Cable management is limited
- No place for SSD except to mount it on the bottom of the case or have an adapter tray
- Would have liked the tool-less mounting on both sides

Other Thoughts: Very minor, but the power button design isn't great. It's sort of flush with the case and narrow. Anyone with big fingers will find it annoying to push in. Overall, the case is a good value for the money. Pretty straight forward 'no-frills' design.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Rosewill REDBONE - Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Strong.

Cons: Not enough space.

Other Thoughts: Ok, so I bought this case about a year and a half ago and never had any problems with it.

The past friday (01/08/2016) i was traveling with it to visit family, when i slid off the road because of snow and ice. I ROLLED my truck and this case saved ALL my components. It went through a freakin roll over and survived. I will never knock a cheap computer case again in my life. thats the sole reason i give 5 stars.

3 out of 5 eggsOK Case (but)

This review is from: Rosewill REDBONE - Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Inexpensive. Bought 2 of these. Enough room for my GTX770 and Radeon 6970 cards witch are fairly large.

Cons: A bit flimsy. Both cases have upside-down front USB ports, witch would have been a deal breaker for me if I had known before purchase. However; I will not return them for that.
