Pros: run fine when its not broken

Cons: I ordered one from Newegg and it came DOA cause of Manufacturer Defects. I got a RMA then about 5 months later it started to have start up issues now it wont even power on and the orange power button just flickers.

Lucky Newegg Discontinued this product.
STAY AWAY

5 out of 5 eggsUD4H

Pros: UEFI BIOS
Overclocking capabilities
Dual BIOS
Price
Build quality
Debug LED

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Paired this with an Intel 3570k and a Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870.

So far, I am quite impressed with this board. BIOS is easy to use, and has been great for overclocking. Was at 4.6 Ghz for a good while. The debug LED on it makes troubleshooting problems a breeze (IF problems arise, that is.) Easy to set up different RAID configurations as well. Overall this board has been very pleasant to work with. Definitely recommend.

1 out of 5 eggsThis model must has problem

Pros: 3D UEFI Bios other specs features are awesome.

Cons: Maybe I am bad luck. My MB has problems after I bought it 1 month. I can't even put it for a RMA because out of 30 days. It will reboot in Window7 automatically without a schedule just like you restart normally. Then it keeps power up and down before the self detect. I found that another buyer on Newegg has the same problem as mine. I sent it back to Gigabyte for repair. After they repaired. I received and install it back to my PC. It works fine few hours then the problem happened again.

It also has some little problem like your USB keyboard will crush in CMOS setting sometimes. All of your USB devices will shutdown in Windows 7 without a sign

Other Thoughts: I think this model's design has problem that makes these bad experience on me. Gigabyte was my the most trusted motherboard brand. Me and the people I help them to build a DIY PC. I only choose Gigabyte motherboard. I hope this just one special case.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for your comments. Honest and constructive opinions are always welcome. We apologize for your difficulty with your GIGABYTE product.

The rebooting in Windows may be caused by overheating. Try installing a temperature monitor program, and notice the CPU & System temperature just before your Windows restarts.

1 out of 5 eggsOnboard LAN failure

Pros: Was happy with the board until the onboard LAN died.

Cons: The onboard LAN either sticks on "identifying network" or says it is connected to an "unidentified network". Installed another network card and it works fine. Have owned the board about 2½ months.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for your comments. Honest and constructive opinions are always welcome. We apologize for your difficulty with your GIGABYTE product.

Your lan driver may have become corrupt. Please first verify in the CMOS System Information that your onboard LAN has a MAC address. If it does not, you may need to update your BIOS to the latest available.

Next, boot to your OS and remove/reinstall the Realtek LAN driver. You may use driver from the included driver disk or from our website:

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: This motherboard is great! Easy to install and it doesn't look like a generic motherboard because of the way its painted.

Cons: The only Complaint I have is that the ram slots are closer to the cpu socket than on other motherboards. This can cause issues with aftermarket heat sinks. A big heat sink could cover up a ram slot or two. I stuck with the stock Intel fan that came with my i5 3570k and it is fine. I will Probably switch to liquid cooling in a while don't worry.

Other Thoughts: Check to see if your big aftermarket heatsink will fit (somehow) . If it does this motherboard is great buy it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs stable, OC's well, eSATA

Cons: No additional non-beta bios updates since first release. Not sure how well it will be supported in future.

Other Thoughts: Seems like it is a UD3H v.2. Definitely a more mature board as it was released later in the z77 lifecycle. I haven't had any issues with it.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat hardware

Pros: - usb3, crossfire support, 4 mem slots, raid (in other words everything I wanted)
- solid performance
- felt sturdy when installing
- uefi bios is pretty nice

Cons: gigabyte has godawful software, horrible website for driver downloads and the easytune software can't run while their other software is running.
So sorry, but supporting your hardware is part of the package and this cost you an egg.

2 out of 5 eggsUSB Problem Ruined It For Me

Pros: I did enjoy this motherboard,
Looks nice, great features, and etc.

Cons: Not long after a month of having the motherboard, one of the USB's began malfunctioning. Now it disconnects and connects frequently giving the notification sound of ejection and insertion. So now every time I power on my computer I have to deal with the sound on/off all the time.
