Loki

Loki, connected with magic and fire; his relationship with the gods varies by source, sometimes assisting and sometimes causing havoc. Loki is gifted with the talent to shape-shift into various creatures.

With such power we wanted to reawaken this god so that his legacy can live on forever.

Loki is one of the greatest accomplishments in CPU cooling history with the power to adapt to every situation similar to the mythology, he has the ability to quickly transform from a single fan to dual fans due to the integrated dual fan option. -Loki can cater to it all.

Loki will be able to keep your CPU running at full power without the worry of overheating.

-Loki, the cooler with innovation, power and attitude!

Our team of highly experienced thermal engineers came up with an idea of inventing a more effective process to displace heat. We call this Heat-pipe Direct Touch Technology. To achieve this innovation we needed to reinvent the entire traditional copper/aluminum heatsink base. HDT works by integrating the copper heat-pipes straight to your CPU giving a direct touch. After excessive experiments through trial and error, we are proud to announce our HDT technology produces over 10 percent more heat conductivity compared to the traditional copper heatsinks and a colossal 170-percent improvement over the aluminum heatsink most commonly found in retail coolers. This innovation will deliver up to an astronomical 45-percent in heat displacement.

-Being first in the world to accomplish this is one of our greatest achievements

Loki was envisioned with the idea of innovation - The concept was to simulate a box shape barrier which could obstruct the heat from escaping, accumulating the warmth within the fins. This concept prevents the heat from discharging to outer unwanted regions and creates a tunnel allowing the fan to perfectly thrust the air though the fins, effectively releasing unwanted heat allowing maximum thermal displacement. To ensure a stable connection for our highly competent fan, our engineers needed to reinvent the connector. Instead of using a stainless steel clip, we decided that by using a rubber fabrication it would eliminate unnecessary vibrations, ultimately delivering close to nonexistent sound.

 - Creative and dynamic.

Cooling a CPU has two major aspects, firstly the thermal displacement from the heatsink/fins and secondly the fan. Obviously the higher the RPM of the fan rotation, the more effective the heat can be driven away. Our intention was not only to design a powerful fan - we wanted to construct a fan which had an exceedingly long life expectancy. We are proud to say we accomplished this with our newly redesigned (FCB) Fluid Circulative Bearing. The FCB is not like your average bearing; it can withstand high, steady RPMs due to its re-circulative fluid, but at the same time it can cancel out friction therefore minimizing noise pollution whilst still pumping out an extraordinary 40,000 hours.

5 out of 5 eggsGood enough to efectively cool a non-soldered IHS CPU

Pros: Smaller 92mm form factor.
Direct touch heatpipes.
Push-Pull dual fan capable.
Study mount.
Even contact and pressure.

Cons: May be a little tricky to install for some people.

Other Thoughts: If you don't have a lot of experience installing non-OEM heatsinks, then please take your sweet time with this one or maybe even enlist the help of an experienced person.

The adhesive backed underside bracket is a nice touch during installation, so it helps get and keep things aligned when it's time to install the retention bolts. After that, it's completely smooth sailing.

Keeps my i7-3770K at 31C/66C idle/load in a microATX case with AS-5 paste and the following 120mm chassis fans:
1 - front intake
1- rear exhaust
2 - side intake
1 - PSU fan exhaust

I did not expect to get such great results out of a 92mm sized HSF with an Ivy Bridge i7, so I am very pleased.

4 out of 5 eggsBetter than stock

Pros: Additional cooling over stock
takes two 120 mm fans
allowed for a slight OC on my rig

Cons: heavy

Other Thoughts: having two big CPU fans gets loud very quick, but that's no fault of the sink

3 out of 5 eggsOk for a cheap cooler

Pros: Easy to figure out the install. Can rotate to mount in different directions depending on need. Pretty quiet. With an E3-1230V3 I originally got 49C loaded, and after removing some excess thermal interface material I am now getting around 42C loaded. The overall footprint is narrow, doesn't get in the way of the RAM slots that are really close to my cpu.

Cons: The biggest issue is the base that contacts the CPU is far from flat. Oh, sure, the heat pipes are exposed so the base transitions between different materials, but it all could have been lapped down to something much flatter. After I wasn't getting the cooling I wanted initially, I dismounted the cooler and saw some sections of contact with extremely thin layer of Arctic Silver, other sections were thick.
Also, the fan mounting standoffs are a little finicky to get into the slots.

Other Thoughts: I was originally looking for a passive cooler for this server build in a 4U chassis with lots of active airflow. I couldn't find anything I liked so I got this inexpensive one instead. I'd measured my case to make sure there was room, so that went fine. I might still try without the fan ... there really is a lot of airflow in the right direction already, it can't be worse that a passive cooler. And maybe I;ll pull it out again and lap it down a bit myself.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: i put this on an AMD FX 6300 black edition CPU at 4.4GHz and i cools it amazingly. it bring it all the way down to room temp when idle(20 degrees celcius) and maxes out at 51 degrees load. i am EXTREMELY happy to have this CPU cooler on my new rig.

Cons: None at all

5 out of 5 eggsVery Impressed

Pros: -Excellent Cooling Ability for such a small tower heatsink.
-Small, Compact Size
-Easy Installation

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I recently decided to upgrade to a new Haswell i5-4670k and definitely wanted to OC a bit but I am also wanting to get a smaller case so felt I needed to go with a more compact heatsink than my old 120mm fan tower heatsink so after a bit of research, I settled on the Loki and boy was I impressed.

Cooling with much, much better than I anticipated and I managed to keep my stress test temps under 80c even on a processor that was defective and pulling much more voltage (and heat) than it should have been (CPU has since been sent back for RMA).

My best guess is you should be able to keep a decent i5-4670k OCed to about 4.4 ghz - 4.5 ghz and keep it under 80c on load with the Loki and while I can't deny that the 120mm fan Tower Heat Sinks out there will probably provide a bit more cooling, if your looking for a fairly compact cooling solution, you can't go wrong with the Loki.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: It does very good job transferring the heat from CPU to the heat sink.

Cons: Heavy.

Other Thoughts: Attach any cheap fans and it will get the job done.
Keeps my i5 2500K @ 4.4ghz 37~39C idle / 65~68C load.

5 out of 5 eggsChaos(loki DUH)? more like CHAOTICALLY RIDICULOUS POWERFUL FAN

Pros: low profile (for a tower style heat sink) still commonly used 92 mm fan size. 3 direct touch 6 mm heat pipes, the included fan is SUPER CAPABLE, i mean I put it in, and without an exhaust fan in place you can feel the air pressure coming out of the case, and I mean I had to swap from wearing shorts to wearing pants because the airflow was annoying me when I was testing it :P, (when mounted in the more efficient 'pull' configuration) comes with rubber mounts to add a 2nd fan, comes with relatively simple to install mounting hardware for lintel and AMD cpu's, for the price it's really hard to find a better cpu heat sink.

Cons: The included fan DOES get loud @ full load/speed, but if you're overclocking it's a non issue, the heat sink its self does not look as 'sexy' as the Noctua 92 mm one that has more heat pipes (that are nice shiiiny nickle plated) instead of just copper and comes with two fans (at usually twice the price)
I found it hard to find a 92 mm fan with equivalent specs to make a proper push pull setup, but I did find one (see other thoughts)
included thermal paste is bargan stuff, worth using if you have none, or one of those horrid 'thermal pads'

truly the cons listed here are only barely worth mentioning at all, but as it's a required field for posting a review I thought I would list EVERYTHING that was even slightly negative :P notice the 5 egg review

Other Thoughts: the ZALMAN F2 Plus fan has similar specs to this loki's fan so that you can may-hap have a mixed pair of fans for push pull, though having two of the SAME fan with the SAME specs will reduce/eliminate the possibility of mismatching causing back pressure in the heat sink
This cooler is relatively light, but it cools way better than I expected it to. my friend's build (which I used this in) has an Athalon II 645 and was previously using the stock heatsink from a phenom II 1090T. The temps for his core (without overclock as we have yet to add a second fan for stability) were reduced by about 5* Celsius at idle, and 10*C at load, with the INCLUDED fan in the 'pull' configuration (pull meaning the fan is placed on the side closes to the back of the case, air flowing from in front of the case, out through the heat sink and fan out of the back of the case.)

I would recommend that if you don't get a 2nd fan for it that you use the 'pull' setup for your fan.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased!

Pros: Straight forward install, really COOLS!

Cons: Taking out the MB to install? Can't really take a star away for that.

Other Thoughts: I bought the overheating problem plagued GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 Motherboard (Rev 3) and was afraid I wouldn't be able to do intensive video conversions. With my 8 core FX-8350 AMD CPU and stock cooling (Coolermaster) I was going to 90C in 90 seconds stress testing with OCCT. Just did the same test now and after 10 mins it only hit 60C!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: -Easy install
-Significant lower Temps
-Good max out temp

Cons: -Non so far

Other Thoughts: This was my first time swapping out a CPU cooler. Did a little research prior just to know what I was getting myself into. Was able to remove the stock cooler on my AMD FX-8120 (use dental floss! and clean the leftover gunk with a coffee filter and isopropyl alcohol) and install this one with relative ease. Followed instructions step-by-step and you shouldn't have a problem. Got it first shot. Ran a stress test for awhile and temps maxed out at 56 C. Idle went from about 43 C to 30 C (I've overclocked from 3.1ghz stock to 3.6 ghz) Also to note it didnt block any ports or anything on my motherboard. Perfect size.
