5 out of 5 eggsSolid, spacious, and compact.

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: Two expansion slots, well built, ample room for components, and able to fit a full size psu(even non-modular). Power LED is dang cool.

Cons: 3.5" HDD was a little annoying to mount, but it made sense when you finally found the proper mounting points.

Other Thoughts: With how much available room, they should have at least included a slim 5.25" slot.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat New Mini-ITX Box from C-M

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: • An even more compact footprint than the Elite 120
• Supports full-size ATX PSU
• More than ample cooling
• Makes ITX form factor fun & appealing

Cons: • Should've designed HDD mounting plate to hold four 3.5" drives w/o requiring modding
• No other bones to pick

Other Thoughts: This is my third Cooler Master Mini-ITX box. I've built two Elite 120s; one, an NAS solution that holds five 3.5" HDD; the other an everyday box with a discreet gfx card. For $49.99 it's tough to find anything that beats this. I've built HTPCs and NAS units with FD Node 304, Lian Li PCQ08 & PCQ25 & others, but almost without exception those cases cost twice as much. And even though I'm fond of those cases too, none offers better cooling by virtue of the case design than this, meaning you don't need to stuff it full of cooling fans to keep ambient temps down.

For my latest NAS box using an 1155 board + CPU, I was able to get this to hold four 3.5" HDDs (specs say 3x3.5" + 1x2.5" is max) with a bit of finagling. One of the drives isn't secured by all four screws, but as this is simply a storage unit that doesn't operate every day, I'm willing to let that slide.

I'm digging this box even more than the 120, and I was downright giddy when that one came out. Kudos to Cooler Master. I'm a big fan.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good ITX chassis

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: This case is exactly what I needed, I live in cramped quarters and this case was perfect for me. It's also smaller than you might expect! The size of this case is comparable to a microwave to be honest, it also comes with a 120mm intake fan in the front, a nice touch. Hats off to the boys and girls over at Cooler Master.

Cons: No complaints at the moment.

Other Thoughts: The case is built very nice, it includes everything you would expect. It comes with a bag of various screws, nuts, motherboard standoffs, zip ties, it has USB 3.0 cabling ready, power button/reset buttons. On a side note, the case is pretty much safe to reach into, there aren't really any bits of metal inside that could cut you.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: *Solid case, not flimsy
*Small as advertised
*Fits two smaller PCI-e cards
*Great USB 3.0 ports on the side
*Good ventilation with supplied 120mm fan

Cons: * Don't bother connecting the blue LED light for the front button unless you're a teenage boy

Other Thoughts: I had a massive tower, but these days, what's the point? Like many people, I have a NAS where the majority of my files live, no need for a bunch of hard drives. My PC uses a 120gb SSD that makes for less power consumption and better air flow, and my bluray player is external, these days there is no point in having optical drive 24/7. I'm using less electricity, have better temps, save money, all in all mini-itx is the way to go, and this the case to do it in.

5 out of 5 eggsSmall Wonder

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: The size - it's hard to find a functional mini-ITX case this small.
The price - one of the cheapest mITX cases.
The look - it's size, under-stated aesthetics, and cubical nature usually inspires disbelief - "that can't be a computer", "where's the rest of it?", and "is that an NAS? are the most common comments.
The performance - capable of housing full-sized components (if chosen carefully) and 120mm radiators. I have fit a 180mm PSU inside without issues (140mm works best).

Cons: Really works best housing a budget, low powered system, the size is not optimal for cramming in high-end gaming parts and expecting them to run cool. The video card can't exceed 230mm, limiting you to a GTX 760 or maybe an HD 7850.
It's also very thin, lightweight steel, so it tends to slide around on it's hard plastic feet when plugging in USB cables. It's sturdy enough when fully assembled, but with the cover and top HDD bracket removed, it feels like it could collapse if you're not careful.

Other Thoughts: Great little case, always evokes positive comments, just don't try to go too far with it, there are much better cases for high-end builds. Even it's siblings, the Elite 120 and Elite 130, are long enough for full sized video cards, and both cost the same as this one.

5 out of 5 eggsAs the fiance says, This case is sweet.

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: Fits a full-sized ATX power-supply, decent cable management, clean and easy to work with overall. Mini-ITX is a fun form factor, but be prepared to make some sacrifices to implement it.

I have been a loyal Cooler Master consumer since they replaced my 550watt power supply with a 750. I made the joke that the dead power supply "just laid there, like my ex-wife." They responded "well, we'll replace it then. The power supply, not your ex-wife." Good people, great service, best products.

Cons: The Cooler Master logo up front is a button. I didn't wire it in, though, because it's easy to depress and do whatever that button does. Screw that. It also takes away from an otherwise perfectly minimalist case what could be prettier than it already is. Nit-picking, though.

2.5 inch drives are a little odd to mount - there's a mounting bracket up top that the instructions don't make mention of, and it took me about five whole minutes that I will never get back to find where the screw holes were for the Sandisk SSD I put in there.

Other Thoughts: I used this in my hardware firewall box (pfSense) and it looks amazing.

5 out of 5 eggsBest case I've yet found

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: Super Tiny, less than 1 cubic foot.
Plenty of space for all essential parts.
Enough airflow for high end parts
Easy to hide wires
Can fit a small GTX 760

Cons: Doesn't fit most high end video cards.

Other Thoughts: GREAT case for a mid level gaming PC. I was able to easily run Battlefield 4 on ultra with parts that all fit in here. The MSI GTX 760 small form factor fits in here and there is enough airflow for all parts.

5 out of 5 eggsCooler Master RC-110

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: Small case for limited space. Price. Comes with a 120mm fan for liquid cooling.

Cons: None. Good for what I need. Keep in mind that it does not have a bay for optical drives, nor room to fit large video cards.

Other Thoughts: Very small, so make sure you have good cable management.

Don't go crazy and get a 1000W PSU; the most you are likely to use is 450W-650W. Wasted power would build too much heat. Best with SSDs.

I bought both cases, but I like this case over the Corsair Obsidian 250D, for its size and price.

4 out of 5 eggsfirst small case build

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: excellent build quality
looks good

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This being my first build with a small case I made 2 mistakes>

1- I did not use a modular power supply. This wasn't a huge issue, but not having all that excess cord would have been easier to deal with.
2- NO place for an optical drive. My fault for not reading other reviews closer, but just be aware. It would be good for Newegg to have a reference to this in the item description.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: This is a solid little case for the money. There are plenty of places for zip tying cables to.

Cons: The screw selection was a little puzzling. The hard drive placement requires a flat SATA power connector with wires feeding through the back. Right angles do not work as they point the wrong direction on either side of the case. It might be worth grabbing a few SATA to Molex adapters if your power supply has right angles or multiple SATA power connectors on one line.
