The Antec Mini P180 case is designed for the power computing enthusiast who enjoys tinkering under the hood, but who doesn't want to listen to the cooling fans strain. Designed to fit a microATX motherboard, a heat-reducing dual chamber design and sound deadening multi-layer side panels reduce noise and heat both. Silicone grommets reduce vibration noise. The side panels are made up of three layers aluminum and plastic to deaden sound.
A rear mounted 12cm and top mounted 20cm TriCool fans create a lot of airflow to keep your components cool. External speed controls let you adjust them to balance sound and airflow. You can install two additional 12cm fans in the front as well. All intake fans have easily-removable filters to catch dust and debris before it enters your system.
Mount three front-accessible 5.25" and one 3.5" drives along with five internal 3.5" drives without tools. The case will accommodate graphics cards with full length PCB’s. The front mounted ports let you connect two USB 2.0 and one eSATA device along with a microphone and headset without having to move the case to get at the back. A double hinge door at the front protects your drives when closed or swings out of the way against the side of the case when you need access. The majority of the chassis is .8mm cold rolled steel for durability and the internal parts are designed to prevent scratches when working in tight spaces.

I love this case
- Pros: I love this microATX case. The design on the front and top are nice; neither overdone nor too plain. The black inside gives it a cool look. The PSU can be installed either right-side-up or upside-down, so PSUs with big fans on the bottom can be installed so they can breathe in fresh air. The PSU compartment on the bottom keeps the PSU away from the main system heat, and it allows them to put nice 200mm and 120mm fans on the top & rear of the case. The fans are quiet (but not silent) on their lowest speed setting; when on medium or high, they move a lot of air. Very good airflow in this case. Plenty of room to install a huge aftermarket CPU heatsink/fan. Rubber feet around the 3.5" drives help reduce any vibration noise from the HDDs.
- Cons: Things are a tight fit, and need to be assembled in the right order. For example, I couldn't have my huge CPU heatsink/fan already installed on the motherboard before putting the motherboard in the case; I tried, but couldn't quite angle it in until I temporarily removed the rear case fan. Those with a very long graphics card may need to remove the center drive cage.
- Other Thoughts: The power led is white; I would have preferred red or blue. The HDD led is blue. A power supply with modular cables is a big plus with this case. I have a 3.5" external CF reader, and the 3.5" to 5.25" adapter kit works, but it was a little tricky to align which holes to use with the adapter and rails to get it flush with the front. There is a front port for eSATA, but not for firewire.
Something different
- Pros: Excellent cable management (comes with ties, ample room on other side of mobo). I can hardly see any wires, which is awesome for air flow. Great finish on inside of case (jet black). Overall footprint is small and it is fairly quiet. I have a Zalman air cooler on an e6600 and was in the low 20c range while doing average load computing (with an overclock to 3 ghz). Using a thermaltake 850watt PSU, so this case accomodates all sorts of hardware.
- Cons: The optical drive bay mechanism is a pain (had to mod the clips a bit to fit a blu ray drive in there). If you plan on using an 8800 gtx, be prepared to only use two sata ports (since the video card blocks them on a Gigabyte micro atx). Luckily, one of the sata clips is a right angle type, so use that up high and a standard one on the bottom and it works great. Also, included instructions were pretty useless.
- Other Thoughts: Really like the case. Great style, cooling. 200mm fan is a beast.

Great All Around Case
- Pros: This is a high quality scaled down version of the P182. These days a micro-atx boards are fine for most users with the lan, sound, USB, eSata and firewire on new motherboards. The cable routing of this case, from the bottom below the motherboard tray works great, I wish more cases would copy this idea. Airflow is good with a monster 200mm fan on top.
- Cons: To add front case fans you have to remove one of the two drive cages. No lower fan slot in the power supply area like the P182. It only fits mini-atx boards!
- Other Thoughts: This wouldn't be good for an ultimate gaming machine, but it is a great choice for most builds. Everything on this case is well made and thought out, from the push button doors to get to the air filters to a internal storage case for drive screws and grommets.
Great Case
- Pros: Great case, wire management is easy enough with some thought beforehand excluding running the 24 pin up the back.
- Cons: the bottom hard drive bay needs to be removed if using a long graphics card.
hard drive wires face the mobo instead of the back of the case. difficult to run the 24 pin mobo power behind the mobo tray. The manual says nothing about the 3.5" adapter, and it doesn't say how to install 5.25" drives.
Pretty good mini case
- Pros: I just setup this little winner. I love the black interior. It runs very quiet. I love the fan switches on the back of the case. Dark Knight CPU cooler fits. 4890 Vapor-X fits, but at the lose of one hard drive cage. This wasn't an issue for me because I was running only one hard drive... but with 2 slots open and 1 mountable hard drive in the 5.25 section, this case leaves plenty of options for those with large video cards. I love the large fan in the top of the case. The color of the outside of the case is awesome! I love the black and gun metal colors together. Awesome cable management throughout whole case.
- Cons: It is a little tight getting the motherboard into the case if the CPU cooler is large and already mounted.
- Other Thoughts: I think since Antec went so far to get the inside of the case black, the least they could have done was to finish it completely by finishing up the inside of the side panels.
