Cons: Installed board, CPU RAM, I get a pwr-on light between the 2 PCI slots, but no video, no post beep. I call ASUS tech support's non-toll free number, I expierence rude people, I get hung up on 3 times. Now of course I have to return this board to newegg, and lose the restock fee. I have 6 or 7 ASUS boards before that, and have never had a problem before. The customer service is horrible. DO NOT BUY THIS OR ANY OTHER ASUS PRODUCT!

Drivers and/or chipset bad news for Blu-Ray
Reviewed By: Dan H. on 2/1/2010

Pros: ASUS Quality? (or so I thought)
Cons: This board started out ok but when downhill rather quickly there after.
Windows 7 Pro installed smoothly, the drivers however not quite so much.
After spending a night or so updating to the newest drivers for the board things seemed to steady out with this board until it decided to go wonky with my HD TV, the screen turned completely white with a few darker areas such as the cursor and window edges, after hooking up an external screen (via VGA) I was able to remove and then reinstall the Intel drivers which fixed the issue for a day or two, after which I had to do the same thing twice more.
The thing that finally pushed me over the RMA edge was the fact that this board would randomly crash (10-15 minutes or watching) when hardware acceleration was enabled for Blu-ray playback (Intel Clearview under PowerDVD9 Ultra).
I'll be honest in saying I don't know if it was an Intel driver issue with the G41 IGP or an issue with the motherboard
Other Thoughts: After the wonkiness of this board I decided to jump on the "next generation" bandwagon and went to a Core i3, on a different manufactures board.
I went with ASUS because of my wonderful experience with their P5W DH Deluxe board (which was/is rock solid and still works to this day) and for that reason I might give them another shot in the future, perhaps with lower end boards such as this one ASUS isn't the best choice...

Solid performer for HTPC
Reviewed By: on 1/31/2010
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: The board performs quite well, there's plenty of space on the board such that it's not terribly cramped. The price is right, and it's performance is great.
Cons: No option in BIOS to OC... I know that's not the expectation for a board such as this, but still... would be a nice to have.
