5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 4 cores unlocked, decent speeds, great for it's price

Cons: see other thoughts

Other Thoughts: Oh my lord, This CPU was the death of me for about a year. I had no clue what a faulty CPU was like, so it took me a Prime 95+ test and a lot of swapping out parts to discover it was the processor. Sent it in to AMD, and sure enough it was faulty. The replacement has been fantastic since, but rolling blue screens for about a year were anything but fun.

5 out of 5 eggsI wish i could still buy this

Pros: I owned this processor for a year and passed it down to my dad. I got a x6 phenom be. But that was my first processor... Man that thing was fast for a dual core. I had it ocd to 3.8... yeah its not as fast as my x6 at 4ghz but i never imagined a dual core would be that awesome.

Cons: Newegg dosnt sell it. Only the BE

Other Thoughts: I would have to say that was one of the best dual core cpus ive ever seen. I didnt push it past 3.8 because once i started to overclock i already had plans to pass my proc down to my dad. So i didnt wanna ruin it. And i had a stock cooler. But that thing didnt run hotter than 60 degrees c. I loved that thing. But now i have 6 cores so i dont miss it.

5 out of 5 eggsSuccess

Pros: Great price to performance ratio, with the added potential to unlock to a quad core.

Cons: the stock heatsink and fan can't handle the extra cores very well in my situation. After unlocking I noticed that the TDP went from 80 to 158.

Other Thoughts: If yours does unlock and you're noticing high temps, I'd recommend buying a new heatsink and fan. There are great options in the $30 - $50 range and they'll really out perform the stock cooler. I wish this came with the new AMD cooler that has the copper heatpipes.

5 out of 5 eggsFast as the EFF word

Pros: I bought this cpu for my new build, and am I glad I did... I still have yet to try unlocking cores, but then again I can push this bad boy pretty far with just the 2cores. The max I've tried to oc this thing was 60% with plenty more ocing to spare. My temp stayed right around 96/97F and my clock was about 4.0somthing... If your looking for a cpu that can handle some abuse, look no further.

Cons: If I were this fast I'd prolly have a few stds lol

5 out of 5 eggsYeah

Pros: Nice, speedy dual-core processor for under $100. Extra cores can be unlocked. 6.5 on windows experience index on stock settings.

Cons: Unlocking my other cores resulted in the system being unable to boot. However, this is marketed as a dual-core processor so this isn't really a con - just a reminder that you shouldn't buy the processor thinking you're getting a quad-core.

5 out of 5 eggsTypical AMD Awesomeness

Pros: This is just a fantastic CPU. I installed it on an ASRock 870icafe MB and it unlocked to a x4 B50 3.33ghz. Runs cool and stable as the rock of gibraltar.

Cons: NONE!! AMD rules the performance bang for buck segment with processors like this.

5 out of 5 eggsGood bang for the buck

Pros: Its actually a quad core, all four cores were unlocked. Can also be over-clocked very easily. Running mine at 3.5ghz could push if farther for sure but i'm comfortable with were its at.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsSuper CPU!

Pros: What I had before was a single core 1.6ghz. Yes... I know it sucks! But when I put this baby to work I was like... WOW!!! I made my first build with it and I can't complain, I love to see things going a lot faster. Editing a 3 mins. video took me in the 1.6ghz computer about an hour and 15 mins. to render. With this baby, a video of 4 mins. was rendered in about 6 mins. Isn't that great???

Cons: Cannot unlock the extra cores with ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO. Any suggestion, please let me know. Other than that, I love it.
