1 out of 5 eggsTerd Memory Sticks

Pros: Look nice - blue and sliver

Cons: Memtest 86 failures in multiple blocks
not good for scientific work

Other Thoughts: If you surf the web and watch a youtube video here and there, these might be fine. For serious work, they just melt after the first year of use. Happened to me.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We are sorry that you had difficulties with our product. For heavy users such as Gaming we recommend using the XPG series which included modules which have been overclocked to handle higher functions.

1 out of 5 eggsDP45SG

Pros: N/A

Cons: Absolutely not compatible with DP45SG despite other user's comments to the contrary.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We are sorry that you had difficulties with our product. From the Intel memory compatibility site the module should be compatible. We recommend speaking to Intel they have released 11 BIOS updates, memory compatibility is normally updated via BIOS updates.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks flawlessly

Pros: Very inexpensive and enough memory for the average Joe's PC, even for light gaming. The blue heat spreaders give it a nice look and solid feel in addition to their intended function of dispersing heat.

Cons: None whatsoever, couldn't be happier.

Other Thoughts: I've had these for a couple of years and they've worked great. To all the people saying their memory is failing memtest86+ you cannot rely on only tests done on the machine that is already giving you BOSD's or lockups to determine whether the RAM is faulty or not. A faulty CPU can also cause memtest86+ to show memory errors so the only way to be sure is to test in another (stable) machine as well. I just had that happen to me recently, BSOD's followed by memtest86+ showing massive failures in the memory. Tested in another PC and the memory passed perfectly every time. Turned out to be the CPU.

3 out of 5 eggsRMA Process

Pros: RMA from start to finish took four weeks. Replaced modules passed memtest+.

Cons: After passing memtest+ I removed the modules and noticed they were very warm nearly hot. Out of curiosity i installed the G.Skill, ran memtest+, not even warm!

2 out of 5 eggsHalf good so far

Pros: Four sticks worked well for 22 months

Cons: Two sticks now cause system crash. They individually pass memtest86+ but when paired with each other they do not pass and when either are paired with any of the other sticks the computer will crash within 10 minutes. Sorting this out was rather time consuming.

Other Thoughts: Now running on two sticks until new sticks from another manufacturer arrive.

5 out of 5 eggsTime to order more

Pros: I've been running these for over two years. No problems at all. Time to increase the memory before to 8GB prices to up - therefore time to order more.
