Great Ram.
- Pros: I upgraded to this ram from another set of 2x1GB Patriot Memory. It was as simple as taking out the old and plugging in the new. Manually set timings to 4-4-4-12 and running stable at 2.1V. It is currently running at 850mhz on these timings 100% stable in games and other programs. Not much of an OC, but it works for what I do.
- Cons: The picture shows a black ram chip with black heat spreader. The ram chip it self is actually green with the same heat spreader. No big deal though!
- Other Thoughts: After seeing the ram I was fearful when pressing on the heat spreader to push the ram into each slot. The heat spreader held firm though and the ram installed without any problems. Kudos to patriot as I have not had one problem with their ram.
Currently running Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus, 8800GTS EVGA 640, E6420 2.13 Processor, running without any problems using this ram.
Great Memory
- Pros: Very fast RAM. running at 4-4-4-12 2.2v as advertised. Improved gaming & total system performance over previous 4gigs I was using. Price is also very good. NewEgg also great as usual with shipping.
- Cons: None but trying to deciding if I wanna get 4 more gigs.

Excellent
- Pros: Good timings and performs as expected. I would rate this RAM best bang for the buck in its class.
- Cons: I've read other reviews concerning how the heatsink isn't physically secured to the chips or PCB. I agree that I would have felt slightly more secure if it had a couple of clips like other modules, but if you are experienced at properly installing RAM you should have nothing to fear.
- Other Thoughts: I didn't buy this from Newegg because it had an instant rebate (vs mail-in) from a nearby store, but I felt it necessary to leave a positive comment out of respect for the product . NOTE: I'm running this RAM within all specs as it's in a media center; no need to attempt OC.
This is my first experience with Patriot brand RAM, and so far I am very happy with it meeting my expectations. It went into a re-purposed P6N Diamond - E6750 - Quadro FX 570 that serves dutifully as a media center/file server, pushing out 1080p and DTS sound like nobody's business.
Read the fine print or get burned.
- Pros: Great memory, running fast and stable. No issues on install.
- Cons: I purchased two sets of these with the understanding that I would be refunded $25 for each set.
I just received my statuses on my rebates and the 2nd one has been denied because of "duplicate submission" even though I sent the UPCs separately and sent two copies of the invoice.
I was under the impression that I would need to send one in for each kit I bought. What's even worse is Patriot gives you no way of contacting an actual human person from their rebate site. The phone number listed there is for an automated status line.
Bad move Patriot. I'll certainly be thinking twice before buying another of your products and I will definitely be letting others know of my experience for future purchases.
Maybe I should be more careful and read the fine print (more specifically the order of the words on limitations) next time. Fact is I shouldn't have to and I'd rather just buy from a company that I don't have to be a lawyer to understand what I'm getting when they say "$25 rebate"
- Other Thoughts: 5 Stars for product quality.
-3 Stars because I wouldn't have bought them had I known the rebate wouldn't apply to BOTH purchases. People don't like feeling taken advantage of.

Works fine in P5Q Deluxe
- Pros: Replaced defective Ballistix with this RAM. Setting the voltage is extremely important. I have had outstanding performance from this memory on a ASUS P5Q Deluxe Motherboard. Manually set Voltage and all is well in the world. Running with XP x64 edition and after login the desktop, background and bars load instantly with no delays.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: This is my 3rd purchase of Patriot Memory. Voltage settings are very important for performance but it does work as advertised. Worth the Money and the rebate is nice as well.
