MX-2 is a high thermal conductivity and low thermal resistance compound for components that require optimum thermal dissipation. It is ideally suited for use in CPU, GPU cooling and other applications between power semiconductor components and heat sinks where thermal conductivity is a major factor.

  • newegg Maximizes Heat Transfer The high-performance Arctic cooling MX-2 thermal compound eliminates minute air gaps between the heat source and the heat sink caused by their uneven surfaces for the optimized heat transfer.
  • newegg Electrical Insulator Having no metal or any other conductive material, the Arctic cooling MX-2 thermal compound cannot result in any damage even when it contacts to electrical traces, pins and leads.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes it's job

Pros: The compound does it's job. I had to apply new thermal compound to my liquid cooler when I upgraded my CPU recently, as well as re-seat the cooler on my 550ti.

Comes in a nice tube and it's painless to apply it to your CPU, GPU, or other devices.

Cons: N/A

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: Best thermal compound I have used. None electroconductive so its safe to use in any setup. This will give any fan you use the boost it needs to keep yous system cool. There is an MX-4 which has a slightly thicker consistency but for me MX-2 has worked the best. I have tried it next to the diamond, silver and ceramique and by far the best bang for buck has been from the MX-2.

Cons: No cons.

Other Thoughts: The only other thermal compound I could recommend is the new liquid pro liquid metal compound from cool laboratory. That thing is good but it does have a few cons. For one you have to be an artist when applying it with the brush. The other is, of course, it is highly electroconductive.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Product

Pros: The price is great and it keeps things cooler than with the stock cooler, even if it's only a slight difference. My favorite bit about it is that it has little measurement dots on the side to tell you when you should stop applying (I noticed this sadly after I applied too much).

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGood paste

Pros: I am an exclusive Arctic guy when it come to paste and coolers you can't beat the bang for your buck, this is non conductive thermal paste, paired with the Arctic Freezer 7 Pro keeps my FX-8120 125W Eight-Core CPU at 28c idle on a summer 87 degree day also has dots on the side that shows one dot for every application.

Cons: None
