Antec’s Mini P180 is designed to be seen and not heard. Developed in collaboration with silent PC experts, everything has been done to minimize any noise from the components within the case. Based on the successful P182, it fits the microATX form factor. Graphics cards with full-length PCB’s can be accommodated in any of the 4 expansion slots. A total of eight drive bays provide maximum configuration flexibility with three front-accessible 5.25” and a single 3.5” drive plus five more internal 3.5” internal HDD’s.
A heat-reducing dual chamber design separates the heat generated by the power supply from the CPU and expansion cards. The interior is cooled by a 120mm TriCool 3-speed fan mounted on the rear as well as a 200mm TriCool fan mounted on the top. Both feature external speed controls. Mounts are provided for a pair of 120mm fans in the front chamber if additional cooling is required. The clear airflow paths allow the fans to operate at lower speeds – and lower sound volumes.
The cable management system provides unobstructed airflow through the case as well as adding convenience when replacing or installing components. The innovative three-layer plastic and aluminum side panels further dampen system noise to result in one of the quietest cases on the market. Two USB 2.0 and an eSATA port are mounted on the front for easy access along with the headphone and microphone jacks.

Nice Case
- Pros: The box is well built, things are easy to get to, and it looks really nice.
- Cons: It is rather large for a "micro" ATX case. It is actually fatter (wider) than most of my "regular" ATX cases.
- Other Thoughts: I have the normal sized P180 case at work, so when I wanted to build a home system, I went for the smaller Antec.
When it arrived it came with a note about the possibility of a bad fan. Evidently, Antec found out the 120 mm fan might be defective, so they had 2 choices, 1) replace all 120 mm fans in all cases, or 2) ignore it and let the customer deal with it. Neither option was very good, so they chose a third option: send a spare 120 mm fan for the user to use if they find the installed fan defective. If your 120 mm fan was not defective, well, you now have an extra fan.
Very good job, Antec, way to be proactive!
fit for the job
- Pros: Great case. Looks nice pleasing white color. LEDs aren't super bright and annoying. Just subtle and cool enough. Comes with three case fans the one at the top of the case is very large and quiet depending on speed you set it at. Overall a good case and i accidentally ordered a BTX power supply but it fit anyway which was nice.
- Cons: It's really white. I bought a lite-on dvdrw drive with the option to switch the front bezel to white. Well it didn't match- the front of this case is ivory white and hard to find bezels that perfectly match it. Also, the power cord for the large ceiling fan was very short. The rear metal panel where the connectors reside- was a bit weak compared to the rest of the case but holds up well enough.
- Other Thoughts: A tad expensive but if you can afford it with a good power supply then it makes for a very nice foundation.
There isn't anything mini about it. Its fairly large compared to other "mini" cases. If you are looking to build a compact system that can deliver a punch then look no further. You will have more then enough space to fully load this case on a microatx mobo.

Fantastic Case, a Few Tips:
- Pros: High quality design, easy installation, great cable management, many features usually found in high end cases worth 4x the price.
- Cons: Manual doesnt talk about strange USB front panel connector thingies
- Other Thoughts: Tips:
1. Front panel USB connection: connect both 5-pin usb cables to 1 port on motherboard. Using the same orientation for both connectors, attach them with the "shield" wire over the slot without a pin on the motherboard port. 2. Connect the front panel LEDs with the positive and negative wires in the right orientation; otherwise they wont work. 3. Install video card last- not much room below motherboard to plug stuff in (depends on motherboard I guess)
This was my first build; thanks to another reviewer for the USB thing. I highly recommend this case; I bought two.
Great case
- Pros: Overall, I am very happy with this case. I love the use of aluminum and plastic to make a very stable and quite chassis. The 200mm fan is nice and quiet and the fact that it's located at the top really helps to pull the heat out.
- Cons: It's a little anoying to open the from panel to access the power button, but I usually just sleep the PC and use the spacebar to wakeup.
Also, the white power LED is way too bright.
love these
- Pros: Quiet and well laid out. Good air flow.
- Cons: None
