Hitachi GST SimpleDrive 1TB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive HSD1000

Pros: Second replacement, now fighting to have the third drive because they sent me a 500 GB instead of 1 TB. They said that no records on system that proved that I bought 1TB. I sent emails, proof of purchase and nothing. Now they say that they are investigating why they change to 500 GB ????? Meantime I have to wait. Don't buy this JUNK at any price!!!

Cons: Started making a ticking and tapping noise and died! What a piece of trash! DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND!!!

Cons: I never got the chance to use it. It died quickly. All it does is click. I did not use for a while and let the warranty expire. Put small amount of data on it when I first got it and did not use it because I bought another larger HD I was using. Then tried to use it and found it was a piece of crp. Basically it has never worked. It was clicking the second time I used it.

Cons: This drive is garbage not saving any money buying this cause you have to keep RMA thing cause in dies within 2 days stay away from this drive. I will never trust another Hitachi drive after this experience.

Pros: Runs very quiet with decent speed. Setup was very easy on Windows 7 64 bit system. Pretty good heat dissipation as well.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Have two of these drives and both have run flawlessly for almost a year so far.

Cons: like many other buyers, after about 6 months----
the click of death.

Cons: DIED WITHIN THREE MONTHS OF OWNING AFTER MAKING THUMPING NOISE

Other Thoughts: TRYING TO GET REFUND FROM COMPANY.....

Cons: Died at 2 months. This is record for me . I won't buying this brand again .

Cons: It just died without any warning.
Never buy this junk

Cons: CUSTOMER SERVICE MORE THAN WILLING TO ISSUE RMA FOR THIS junk.
