Pros: Writes DVD's like it should and the price is right... but there are reasons why the price is right.

Cons: Can be loud at times. Does NOT read the Crysis game DVD! I have 2 of these (brand new) and they both failed to read the game! I slapped in one of my older DVD drives and it read the game without a problem. I stuck the Crysis game DVD in the drive and it just clicked and did nothing. I eve waited several minutes. Keep in mind my older drive read the game with no problems. Not sure what the deal is with that but you might want to mark this review as "helpful" so people are aware of this issue.

Other Thoughts: Overall it does the job and is easy to install with other DVD drives. Running 3 DVD drives including 2 of these.

Pros: Good dvd burner.
I put it in an old HP 7960 toaster.
The DVD-rom in there had not read not read DVD's for some time. It read CD's fine tho. It was time for an upgrade and this drive was a great deal at around 30 bux. It burns a cd in like 2 minutes and DVD's pretty quick depending on what kind of data is on them.

Cons: cant think of any. I guess if it was faster at burning dvds but it works fine.

Other Thoughts: does the job- what can you ask for. everyone should have one. It does it all.

Pros: I have purchased a total of four of these throughout the last year. I own one and I have gave family members and friends the other three.
I haven't had any problems with mine. All the others that I have gave as gifts have worked without any problems as well. I have burnt several CD-R, DVD-R, DVD+R, and DVD DL discs using nero and haven't had a bad burn yet.
[I have used Memorex, Phillips, and verbatim discs].

Cons: Not a thing.

Other Thoughts: While Blu-Ray burners remain expensive ($300+), this inexpensive dual layer burner is perfect.
