Solid Printer - Lots of Features
- Pros: Wired and Wireless networking, Tons of features, duplexer, multiple page scanning, lightweight, fairly easy to open up....more about that later, great print quality...a little slow but for the quality that's expected, pretty good scanning although I haven't tried any pictures.
- Cons: a single cartridge for color...would have preferred multiple cartridges but I don't plan on using the color much, fairly large footprint...but that's what's nice about the wireless...I can stick it anywhere
- Other Thoughts: I actually purchased the open box version. Seems brand new
understand why it was opened though. Kept giving me a lid open warning. Popped it open and found the door sensor had been knocked off. Set it back up and added a little glue to make sure it doesn't happen again. Up and running Although the price did drop right afterwards....I paid more for the open box item then you can buy it for now
Good
- Pros: Great printer so far haven't had any problems with it. I find the wireless network feature is handy because you can put the printer any ware without having to worrie about if the usb wire is long enough to reach the computer. Easy to set up and use. The photo print quality is quite good for this type of printer and its price.
- Cons: None really.
- Other Thoughts: However if you use this printer to make a lot of high quality photo copies plan on having a few spare ink cartridges but that's the same case with most photo printers.

works great!
- Pros: Great quality prints, great for scanning, faxing (send and recieve), and great networking/wireless functionality. I have used every feature on the printer and it has definitely not disappointed.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: Fairly decent price, though I would look for a sale since it can be pricey at times. Ink ships for free from HP
Pleasantly surprised
- Pros: Ordered this printer for a customer that is the rental department for a real estate company. This printer works great! They print all sized envelopes, checks, receipts, invoices, reservations, and anything else they throw at it. It prints fast, and is quiet. The print is near laser quality.
- Cons: So far, none.
- Other Thoughts: Easy setup; just follow the directions. Very easy to setup for print and networking. BTW, I'm here to order another one.
Works great...satisfied...cool features
- Pros: Good design. Does everything. Haven't tried the fax yet though. I love that you can print wirelessly and scan wirelessly to your computer without touching the computer. Cool! They put a lot of thought into this...the button interface on the unit is designed to be simple, and it's divided into function groups. Makes sense at a glance. Works like it's supposed to.
- Cons: A lot of software...must have been 500MB. Would have been nice to pick and choose, or just use the Mac native drivers. But then a lot of the cool features wouldn't work I guess. Ink is expensive, like most other printers. But you can buy beefier cartridges which seem a pretty good value.
- Other Thoughts: It feels a little light and fragile - like basically everything else on the market. But my last HP I bought used for $40 and it lasted for 4 years of use until I sold it for $20. $20 for 4 years of printing. Not bad. When I sold it, it still looked and functioned as well as it did when I got it. So hopefully this will be a typical HP workhorse.
