Very nice knives
- Pros: Very sharp. Good looking, but colors are a little odd at first.
- Cons: Handles are a little small for men's hands, but perfect for women.
- Other Thoughts: Liked them enough to get 3 other Komachi knives
Sharp, good knife
- Pros: Love this knife, love the color coding, love how thin I can slice my meats. (I bought it together with the green vegetable knife) This knife is way better than any other knife I've owned.
- Cons: I tried to sharpen it with a cheap knife sharpener gadget, and I think it actually dulled the blade.. if you get this knife learn how to use a whetstone properly.
- Other Thoughts: The knifes pamphlet asks you refrain from cutting frozen meat, because it can dull the knife. I have found no problems with cutting meat semi frozen, which still gives you the ability to slice it fine, and seems to prevent the edge dulling effect.
Why the coating!?
- Pros: Sharp
- Cons: Owned the knife for less than a week and the coating is already chipping off. No one talks about how the "meat" knife has a pink handle and a pink blade (why do you coat a blade?!) and they the vege knife is baby blue with a baby blue blade. These are the poorest quality items I have ever bought from Newegg. I am returning them ASAP!
