I should have researched this better
Pros: Relatively inexpensive, easy to assemble
Cons: Doesn't overclock well at all.
Other Thoughts: When my MSI P6N SLI motherboard died (Northbridge heatsink fell off and chip burned out), I hurriedly purchased the P7N SLI, thinking it would be similar to the P6N which was no longer available. With the P6N, I was running my Conroe E6750 (2.66GHz) @ 3.3GHz and it was very stable. With the same CPU & RAM, but now the P7N, I can't get above 2.8GHz without it crashing. While the board is fine, don't get this if you want to overclock.

Garbage
Pros: Came with screws.
Cons: Everything about this board is junk. The layout, the connectors felt flimsy. SATA ports were a nightmare to get to. Wouldn't boott to my OS after saving and exiting the BIOS, would have to hit the reset switch then power back up. I knew it was hit or miss with this board...looks like I struck out. Got an Asus P5N-D as a replacement and couldn't be happier.
Other Thoughts: Kudos for New Egg on the ease of getting my RMA. You guys are the best. MSI..not so much.

Newegg and MSI = Bad customer service
Pros: It would be great with triple SLI, a heating separator, and multiple options, if it worked.
Cons: Got it DOA. Then sent it back into MSI with an RMA. They sent it back saying it was swapped and I'm still having this inappropriate CPU power 8 pin problem. When ya try to give it power to the CPU with the power supply it shuts everything down. I'm going to buy another motherboard (not MSI), and get that one fixed and re-sell it.
Other Thoughts: MSI doesn't seem to have any MOD's when you call their technical support and just tell you to fill out an RMA.

I hate newegg
Pros: NONE
Cons: I bought the open box version. BAD IDEA. in the box was A DIFFERENT MOTHERBOARD. they sent me a 650i sli, that didnt even work.
I RMA'd it, thinking newegg would replace it for the right board. WRONG. They said it wasn't the right motherboard in the box. So they shipped it back to me. Now I'm stuck with a motherboard that i can't use, that I was forced to pay for.

Great Motherboard Loaded with Features Rock Solid
Pros: With the Mail-in-Rebate it's a really good deal, supports SLI and hybrid SLI, 3 PCI-E 2.0 16x slots(1@16x, 2@8x), 45nm processor support, Passive Heat Pipes, DDR2 800 standard, HD Audio, Solid CAPS, Overclocks well. What more could you want?
Cons: I really have none, looks nice, works better than it looks all for $100.
Other Thoughts: For one of the cheaper 750i SLI Motherboards out there, this one does the job quite well.

Cons: rear fan plug too close to pci slot I could not install a wireless network card ito this slot because of it.

are you kidding?
Pros: I have 2 of these running in my kids core 2 duo systems flawless for 1 year. Both open box. If you can't make these work then you are in trouble. Perfect for a mid tower setup. Using Raidmax Smildon and Sagitta cases. Using artic freezer pro heatsinks. Using OCZ cas 4 ddr 800 ram. GTX 200 & 8800 series cards.
Cons: Audio connector for ide cd rom blocks 200 series cards. Bend slightly to side and use a sata drive instead. Who needs ide anymore? Use most current nvidia drivers and flash the bios if you want to use a 1 TB drive.
Other Thoughts: For a budget rig you can get an E8500, 8 gbs patriot ram, and a caviar black to do some damage followed by a nice Corsair PSU, and a GTX 275. We have 2 of these and 2 evga 790 ultra boards and one of the ultras is already rma matierial and was $179. I7 are very expensive for the few fps you get. A fast e8500/e8600 will outrun them in most games.

great board
Pros: great board, oc is great but the stability is the best i have had on intel. great features
Cons: sata ports are funky in the placement plates over heat sinks for the heat pipes fall off marking down a egg for these problems everythign else is great.
Other Thoughts: i have had this baord for about 6 months now and it is the most stable broad i have had on an intel build.this baord is an upgrade form an asus p5q board that didnt work right in linux for me. i am an amd guy so intel is still new. i have gotten my q6600 to 4ghz on this board with a 4gb of cosair ddr2 1066 ram. i have a zalman 9700 that keeps my cpu at a cool 35c at 3.2ghz. so the guy under me saying that big heat sinks dont fit i beg to differ this is one big heat sink he must not have it in the right orantaion.

Pros: I suppose its done a decent job, played on it over a year.
Cons: Biggest con for me was the capasitors near the cpu, had a hard time finding a cpu fan that would fasten on good (and i still think they are in the way.) Just bought a 75$ cpu fan and my cpu is still overheating (sigh). Going to replace my power supply now but still those capasitors are in the way... you can even tell by the above view photo.
Other Thoughts: not worth it for the money

Great board
Pros: Great board for gaming. Plenty of connections on hand. Running 4gb of Corsair memory. None to hot
Cons: Not necessarily a con, while installing...should of plugged in the sata cables before mounting the board. Was a tight fit with the connectors on the side. Case is the Antec 900

Great Mobo for a great price
Pros: Worked great from the second I got it. No problems what so ever. Running an E5200 dual core with 4gb of ram. Great board and for a great price.
Cons: It's a full size mobo so my Old CPU fan (blue orb II) wouldn't fit. Not a big deal though, I had the Intel fan that came with my processor lying around so I just used that one. Works fine.

BAD BOARD
Pros: Loved the layout of this board. Has lots of connection types and 2 IDE connectors.
Cons: Bad boards!! Had to return 3 of these boards because they would not post. Ended up with an Intel DP35DPM board which I do not like but it works. It took months to get this computer built because of bad boards, bad power supply, bad processor - all from Newegg!
Other Thoughts: In the past I have had really great luck with purchases from Newegg.com but this order was almost totally bad parts. G.Skill Memory, Thermaltake Case & Windows XP were the only parts that were not defective.

It's decent, but it has some flaws
Pros: The price is very good indeed. You basically get quite a few features out of it without killing your wallet. The overclocking potential is there, especially for those beginners out there (myself included...I truly learned a lot from this board). I have updated the BIOS from the MSI website, and it supposedly supports 45nm Processors, but I haven't tried that aspect. With a Core 2 Duo E6850, I was able to Overclock it to 3.925GHz with about 1.58V, and it is Prime95 24 hours stable at that setting. I also have a Q6600 currently overclocked to 3.2GHz and I'm in the middle of torture testing it with Prime95 as I type this, with 1.60V on the same board. It also does a decent job with SLI, even though it runs in 8x mode for the first 2 blue PCI-E slots. Keep in mind though, that there is little, if not negligible performance difference between 8x and 16x SLI modes unless more powerful cards are used.
Cons: The performance, as I said, is decent, but that's about where it ends. The overclocking of both processors came at a cost: lots of voltage for basically average overclocks. Both of my processors are of G0 stepping, and they both have good overclocking reputations, whether it be on air or water. First, with my E6850, I could only get a 400MHz overclock without upping the voltage, and once you go up from there, the need for voltage increases dramatically, suddenly needing 1.55V to get close to ~3.6GHz. The same for my Q6600: I need 1.60V (which is the Voltage Limit on this board) just to get at 3.20GHz. When I tried to hit 3.30GHz, the board would not boot no matter what RAM settings I chose and no matter what other voltage settings I changed. But then I tried hitting 3.4GHz and it DID boot up, but it didn't make it with Prime95. Lastly, the Northbridge and Southbridge heatsinks: Don't rely on them. Your Northbridge WILL overheat with temperatures over 60C if you're not careful.
Other Thoughts: Overall, it's an "OK" board, but if you can get a better one for the price range then by all means skip this one and go for it. In my case, I am only a beginner with overclocking, but after doing a bit of research, and doing extensive amounts of testing on this board, I know that my processors do not need so much abuse to get the performance I want from them. I suggest that if you are getting this board, change the North and Southbridge heatsinks to better ones, especially with a fan. If you can also find any Volt mods to do on this board, those will also be beneficial, as this does take a heavy VDroop (about a .03-.05 difference from BIOS settings under load), and install Voltage Regulator heatsinks as well. Once you do that, then this board will be OK.

great for the price
Pros: works great with my E8400, no problems
Cons: has trouble with RAM on initial startup. When I boot Windows (Vista x64) with more than one (2gb) RAM chips before installing MoBo drivers, it will hang a fair percentage of the time: BSOD. This was true when I first got it, and during two re-formats.
Other Thoughts: If you don't have drivers installed, boot with one RAM chip, get setup, install the drivers, and then install more (I'm running 8gb with no problems)

Pros: Only thing I can put here is price.
Cons: Very hit or miss on this board. The one I had would not post all the way. Hung on mem test. Tried to flash the BIOS and nothing. Couldn't even get a Boot CD to work for the fact that I couldn't get into BIOS. Returned the board and went with another company. Just be careful when getting this board you might be ok and you might not.
Other Thoughts: MSI should have the updated BIOS on there boards or have an easier option on how to flash the BIOS. Tech support should be better also, should give more insight than to return the board for a new one.

Stay Away!!!
Pros: Supports 4 IDE devices...and that's about it
Cons: It's a board I would steer clear from! The first one I bought never booted up, it was basically DOA. Sent back to Newegg for a replacement and the replacement board was the same thing, DOA!!! I'm giving up on MSI and buying a different brand.
Other Thoughts: Don't buy this board

Unstable garbage
Pros: Claims to support 45nm quads, and SLI
Cons: In reality it is incredibly unstable even at stock speeds. Rebooting usually requires resetting CMOS in order to "un-hang" the board.
Also, SATA ports are mounted at 90 degrees making them nearly impossible to get at unless you have a monstrous case.
Other Thoughts: Overall poor quality board

Bang For Buck
Pros: For the price, this MB can't be touched. Very expandable, and it supports 4 IDE devices which is great for those of us reusing legacy devices in new builds.
Cons: It didn't self-assemble the system I built for my wife for Christmas.
Other Thoughts: Last year, I used a P6N SLI FI MB for the back bone of the box I built myself. As with that one, this P7N POSTed the first time and hasn't looked back. Especially if you want a bargain Mobo and you don't rely on Tech Support, this is your board.

Great performance board, but...
Pros: Great quality board. A lot of features, runs my E7300 very nice.
Cons: There is only one little thing that I can't understand. The board does not want to boot sometimes. It just hangs and does nothing. After reseting 2 times it powers up and it gives me a warning message : "Previous overclocking failed, settings are restored to default" - but I never overclocked, all the settings were at default. Weird stuff. I looked for a BIOS update on MSI website, but there wasn't any. As soon as my system starts up it runs like a champ. I tried with diferent power options but I get the same result.
Other Thoughts: To MSI. Do you guys know how to fix this problem?

Works great....
Pros: Cheap with the rebate, everything worked flawlessly, easy OC, 4 IDE devices...I really didn't want to replace all my drives...this was the only board to still support 4 IDE devices.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: OC'd an E5200 (2.5Ghz) to 3.16Ghz with no changes to voltage. I think it's a great board for a decent price.

Total Garbage!!!
Pros: None
Cons: Everything
Other Thoughts: I tried everything to get it working. It wouldn't. Sent it back, Newegg over nighted me another one. It didn't work. Called MSI, They wanted me to pay to ship it to them to fix it(update BIOS). I told them it was brand new board and there was no way I was going to pay to fix a new board. Returned the second one to Newegg and bought a Intel motherboard that worked first time. Thank goodness Newegg is a great company and returned my money. WARNING! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM MSI!!! EVER! They are a crapping company. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand. I'll always be a Newegg customer but I'll NEVER, EVER buy another MSI product.

Mixed Review
Pros: I bought one of these boards in July/08 and built a new system (E8200, 9800GTX, 4GB RAM, nothing fancy).
It's been stable, and worked well straight out of the box.
Cons: However, I just purchased another Nov/08 for my wife as well as an E8400. I guess its karma for building a good machine before, this one failed. Completely failed. Fans would spin up, but no post. I tested with a known good CPU, power supply, RAM, and video card. I even pulled the CMOS battery and discharged. Nada. Thankfully, NewEgg is stellar with their return/refunds. I am now switching the new PC over to an Asus board.
Other Thoughts: I had a really bad shipment as both this board and the E8400 CPU were toast =(. Hopefully the next set is good.

Like MSI UTILITIES - NO
Pros: I have used MSI boards several tmes, the last being the P7N. They are not the fanciest but I have been on the good side of fate since they have never crashed as my gigabyte boards have. I have used EVGA video cards in the SLI boards and they have done very good with the MSI P7N.
Cons: Too many useless utilities. The update monitor always is trying to load drivers I do not need. The D.O.T. is another thing that is useless unless. I wasn't running any apps and the thing started alarming. The CPU fan stopped. I was running it in smooth mode which should have kept the fan on. The MSI utiliies always have an ugly icon. I do not like looking at them.
Other Thoughts: e8400, bfg 800, 4 mb corsair 6400, 2 EGVA 8600 GTX, 2 seagate 500's.

decent board
Pros: sli and is the nvidia 750i chipset the board works great for the time ive had it
Cons: i had a problem with video card artifacting which i found out was related to the chipset to fix i just updated bios and fixed it
Other Thoughts: id upgrade bios first thing to avoid the artifacting issue and it cant really overclock that well went on my quad core from 2.66ghz to 2.72ghz not that high for the processor

Pros: Easy to set-up, stable motherboard.
Cons: Will not fit a gtx260/280 without breaking off the plastic around the connector on the edge of the card. (I had to cut just the plastic around the 4 pin connector.)
This motherboard will not allow your gtx260/280 to perform well at all.
Other Thoughts: MSI website sucks, their tech support sucks also. I would go with evga since they have awesome tech support and warranties etc.

Works great for me
Pros: Good variety of ports including two IDE, worked right out of the box, decent chipset, and stable for a good price.
Cons: My MB came with a bent 1394 port which required a bit of twisting to make it fit through the backboard, but as far as I know it still works.
Other Thoughts: I set my rig with a E8400 Core 2 Duo, PNY 8800GT, 4GB DDR2 800 Kingston HyperX memory, and two IDE hard drives and booted perfectly the first time. I would recommend this board to anybody.

Not what i had hoped for
Pros: Drivers and raid were easy to set up with their disk and MSI's online update. Overclocking/monitoring software makes on the fly adjustments easy*.
Cons: You have to mess with the memory options to get the board to recognize PC8500 ram. Monitoring software causes random blue-screens and did not accurately report video card temp or fan speed. I didn't bother with SLI after determining that SLI was only 8x for 2 cards.
Other Thoughts: Because of the gig ether, raid setup and ease of underclocking this board, I am going to turn it into a Windows Home Server PC and buy something else for my gaming rig. MSI P7N SLI, E8400, 4mb Patriot elite PC8500, XFX 8800GTS 2xWD green 500GIG.

Mosfet explosion!!
Pros: Worked great right out of the box needed to up voltages and Mhz to get 1066 to run.Ran my cpu perfect @1333 Fsb.Overclocked to 1550 FSB but couldnt hit 1600 :(
Cons: the voltage to my ram caused the mosfets to explode it caught my board ON FIRE! so make sure if you have high voltage ram dont use all 4 dimm's mosfet can not handle it.
Other Thoughts: it has avg. overclocking ability.Nothing extreme at all.Should have a Mosfet cooler on it might have helped with the overheating problem.

worth it? yes
Pros: high value board for budget gamers. friendly bios. gives you decent overclocking ability
Cons: glitchy; many issues with my devices. only one of the pcie slots is 16x speed. doesent come with many extra features
Other Thoughts: this might seem obvious, but if you're building a system, the first thing you should do after your os stats working is insert the mobo cd

So far a great board
Pros: Great board. Installed easily. First time build for me and it was all painless. Nice little mail in rebate as well. SLI for a great price.
Cons: Perhaps the positioning of the IDE ports could have been better. Could be somewhat of a stretch in some cases for the disk drives to reach the port. Everything else though is perfect.
Other Thoughts: I would buy this board again if I were to build another computer.

Great entry level SLI-Mobo
Pros: Under 150.00 and supports SLI and hybrid SLI, 3 PCI-E 2.0 16x slots(1@16x, 2@8x), 45nm processor support, Passive Heat Pipes, DDR2 800 standard, HD Audio, no legacy junk to clutter I/O panel, ALL solid capacitors.
Cons: Mobo lay-out could have been better, various onboard ports "COULD" interfere with expansion slot devices, The CMOS clear button sticks out so far that it is way too easy to bump, Manual lacks detailed info for specific bios settings but at least its helpfull in setting up the mobo and it all in english!!
Other Thoughts: I used this mobo to build a machine for a friend that plays WoW. It was a very easy build, a true plug and play experiance! The SATA ports point to the edge of the mobo for a reason; to avoid interferance with long graphics cards! Overall this is a fantastic board!!

I've decided to avoid MSI
Pros: Well the BIOS is very nice to work with, and the manual is actually somewhat helpful.
Cons: SO many. I'm not sure if there's something in my system conflicting (which there, shouldn't, everything I ordered shows as compatible), but have had several issues. 1st being booting up. can turn it on and the moherboard light indicates that it's been turned on, but half the time nothing will output to my moniter (and before you criticize me, yes everything is plugged in nice and snug, and I tried the suggestions of putting it together outside of the case as well as with minimum components, nothing helped). When I did get into the BIOS I was pleased with the appearance and use-ability, except hat it would willy nilly change the boot sequence, and would not save my RAID settings period.
I would just assume it's a bad board but I've searched online and found several people with the same problems. So I'll be returning it and switching to a slightly higher end board.
Other Thoughts: Oh, as has been mentioned before, this motherboards standard memory is NOT 1333, it is 800. And from my experiece with this board it did not like going to 1066 (to match my memory).
I think I probably read it wrong, but I thought this board was going to have 2 PCIE 2.0 16x. In reality it has 1 16x and 2 8x.
The SATA connectors point to he side of the board, which might cause some issues with some case setups, it was fine for me but I've decided I'd rather have them sticking straight out the top instead of to the side.
The motherboard itself wil not actualy support a full 8GB of memory, it says so in the manual. Doesn't matter to me but I figure someone else might need to know that. (Apparently it will get to about 7GB and just ignore the rest, which kinda makes getting a 64bit OS pointless since even then you wouldn't be able to use all your memory).

Pros: Looks good
Cons: AUDIO OUTPUT IN THE WAY OF GTX 260's or other BIg video card, Inconpatable with GTX 260/280
Other Thoughts: Why would they make sure a big mistake...

DDR2 1333 Standard?
Pros: Just to point out that on the Nvidia website it says that it support dual DDR2 800, not 1333. What it has is 1333 MHz FSB. So unless they mean OC or the manufacturer changed the specs... I really don't know.
Cons: I f you run 2-way SLI won't run at x16 but x8.
Other Thoughts: Sorry, not an owner nor have tried it but I had to give it a rating anyways to be able to post.

nice
Pros: good price, layout, cooling, overclocking, stability. build went ace deuce tray, no prob.
Cons: included msi software not too tough.
Other Thoughts: bought for my sons pc to leave sli option open. first msi board i have bought in about 8 years and was pleasantly suprised, tho i doubt i would use one meself. overclocked oem q6700 to 3600ish with half arsed ram and heat sink. great if you are looking for cheap sli board with decent oc. this board, q6600, 4gb ram and 2x 8800gt/gts would play any game for $600.

Great Board
Pros: Good Board... The Price is GOOD. AND IT DOES SUPPORT UP TO 1400 MHZ RAM for those of you who dont read your manuals, you can go under bios and change the ram speed.
Cons: Sometimes unstable when running warcraft 3.
Other Thoughts: I wouldn't buy it again

Great
Pros: It offers good overclocking got my pentium d from 2.8 to 3.5 with a small voltage increase. The dual core center included works very well tells me all the temps in my pc. The ram is not an issue with me because i use 800mhz ram any way. When i messed up an OC i could reset it by powereing it on and off 4 times. It is practicaly the same motherboard as the p7n "Platinum" with a few less accessories.
Cons: Apparently doesnt support 1333 Ram, but not an issue for me
Other Thoughts: Against my better judgement i bought this product because it was the cheapest 750i, even though it has bad reviews. I am Very pleased with this board and would buy it again. Great for a budget gaming rig.

Awaiting Replacement
Pros: Great value for feature set. Includes SLI.
Cons: I built a computer with this motherboard as a budget gaming computer with all otherwise new, working parts. The motherboard often hangs when using a Raid 0 array during periods of heavy hard drive use including Windows Installation, MS Office Installation, Crysis installation and while playing Crysis. The hard drives themselves test perfect under "chkdsk /B" and Ontrac In-Depth Analysis.
Other Thoughts: My problem with Raid on this motherboard may not be usual but be wary, hopefully the replacement will work.

Good Board
Pros: Great board! Price was great. Worked when I got it so that's always a bonus. Runs cool. Huge upgrade for me to play AoC.
Cons: Notice my "Average Understanding" to start. :P There is a 4 pin power "thingy" (sorry dont know the term) in the way of putting any large video card into the primary PCI-E slot. You can see it in the picture. Had to slightly bend that to get the VC seated. One SATA cable and one IDE. IDE cable was pretty short. Took some work to get it around what I need to get it all the way up to the DVD. These are minor things but I'd be carefull if you have a huge VC.
Other Thoughts: Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS 512MB Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB DDR2 PC2 6400 Rosewill Stallion Series RD500-2DB ATX 500W MSI P7N SLI-FI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX Thermaltake M9 VI1000BWS Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Case

DDR@ Warning
Pros: The board sounds like it is well-made. All reviews from outside sources speak highly of it.
Cons: The specifications here state that the memory standard is DDR2 1333.
After doing research, it is only DDR2 800.
This caused a problem with me since I have DDR2 1066 and intend to make full use of it =)

Pros: Pros, its a nice looking motherboard, system temp keeps cool, easy install and setup, not alot of useless I/O connectors
Cons: Sata ports are mounted on bottom right side and turned, making them difficult to get at in mid towers, external cmos reset button but the bios have an option to save settings
