Great alternative to Xf-i
Pros: This card is reliable thus far. Only had SCP interference noises for the initial setup. Easily resolved with driver updates. Crystal clear audio; I would recommend for audiophiles. Works fine on Windows 7. Comes with a MANUAL (something that isn't an industry standard anymore...), which reads easily.
Cons: Installation cd doesn't come equipped with Windows 7 drivers (have to go to Ht Omega's website and download them). I really wish this card came as PCIe. After installing, made most of my taskbar icons disappear and wouldn't let me turn said icons on/off.
This company is only available through email. The phone number listed on website is no longer in service.
Other Thoughts: After owning Creative's Fatal1ty Xf-i Pro and dealing with multiple Snap, Crackle, Pop (SCP) interferences, I was ready to throw in the towel with Creative products. I did, however have SCP at the initial first few hours of installing the Striker 7.1 card (resolved after updating a few drivers).
For the price and if you are either staying away from Creative products or Xf-i interfaces, I would recommend this card.

Audio Masterpiece!
Pros: I just put the card in the other day and I am really surprised at the quality of sound. I have a Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer in my other comp, and I thought it sounded pretty good, but this card sounds so much clearer and more precise! What an amazing card!
Cons: Only one. The software is not as intuitive as Creatives Console launcher. I do not know much about audio configurations, but Creatives made it easy to fool around with. The software for this card is ok, but could use some improvement.
Other Thoughts: Do not know much about audio, just love to hear great sound, and I absolutely love this card. Highly recomend and want to get another for other comp.

WOW!!
Pros: I'M HOOKED FOREVER!!! Extremely clear and deep with the right speaker and headsets. The control panel has alot of options, but is very easy to use even without instructions. It's not an X-Fi!!!
Cons: Absolutely none...
Other Thoughts: I order this sound card from Newegg late mourning Thursday and figure with the holiday was over. It arrived at 9:30 a.m. friday mourning. It was purchased to replace a Creative X-Fi Xtreme audio that came with my MSI 780a SLI motherboard. After all the driver issues that Creative hasn't fixed when using Vista or W7. I'll never gat another Creative. It died final after a year or so of suffering. This seems to be a winner, but still very early in the game with it. I'll update if any issues later.

Underwhelming HRTF algorithm
Pros: It worked. Virtual front and side channels blended nicely.
Cons: NO discernable distinction between front and back with virtual 7.1. I got this card SPECIFICALLY for its HRTF algorithms to be used on an audio technica AD-700 headset. This card failed to deliver because there is no clear distinction between front and back channels. For example, front right could just as well be back right, center could be back center, ect.
Other Thoughts: Perhaps it's because rather than downmixing a 5.1 signal into a biaural signal, the algorithm upmixes a 2.1. In any case, a certain product that is similarly matched which is very Creatively made has the superior algorithm. That product I tried, and then RMA-ed for this. Now I wish I hadn't.

Better than expected
Pros: Bought it for my gaming rig for the front audio panel, but tried it in my home theater media pc first. I didn't expect it to improve the audio so much. My media pc is plugged into my av receiver so I though the av receiver did all it could to improve to audio single. Once the striker card was in and I tuned to output DTS, it was like night and day. Playing avi movies from VLC player with 5.1 AC3 audio blew me away.
Cons: none so far

This is the Card for you
Pros: This is one of the best sound cards i have ever had to use in my life now i know that doesn't mean much to some of you cause I haven't been on this Earth for very long. but I haven't had to use that other sound card and am SOOOO happy for that.
Cons: None that I can find and I looked hard.
Other Thoughts: I have read some of the other reviews and have no idea what card they were running but i don’t think it was this one. maybe they work for the other sound card company.

Striker 7.1 on Win 7
Pros: Installed with no issues from the downloaded Windows 7 drivers. Has all the features that my old soundblaster USED to have. The Creative XF-I "Extreme" that came with my Dell is in the trash now. The Folks at HT are VERY responsive to questions.
Cons: None that I've found.
Other Thoughts: I was going to buy new speakers, but the ones I have seem fine now. Too bad Creative let their software slip so bad. I've never had any trouble with the previous Soundblaster cards I've used.
