Pros: Solid, fast router. Haven't had a single Wi-Fi dropout or had to reboot because it locked up (unlike my previous router from a competitor).
Cons: Stock firmware seems to be missing things like assigning static addresses to clients or changing DNS servers.
Other Thoughts: Stuck with the stock firmware. Fixing the cons didn't seem worth the possibility of bricking the router.

Reliable, versitile.. great product
Pros: 3rd Party Firmware!
Reliable: I have had 2 of these now for 2+ years. They rarely give me any problem at all (amazing uptime).
Oh yea.. 3rd Party Firmware!
Cons: None.. 5 eggs
Other Thoughts: For a home network this is a great product. If you don't have IT knowledge it will work great. If you do have some and you can flash and take advantage of 3rd party firmware you will really be impressed with what this unit can do.

Pros: Easy to set up. Great range. Very reliable until i came across this one. Linksys tech support.
Cons: Received one of the very few that failed after a couple weeks of use
Other Thoughts: Had one for a little over 30 days until it encountered a hardware failure (flashing power light). I called Linksys support and had it RMA'd for another one (actually a refurbished one). Just received the replacement and its working well so far. This is my third WRT54GL and it's the first one to fail.

Awesome
Pros: Best router there is. Even though it looks like 3 year old tech, it performs flawless. This is my second version of this router. Couple years ago, I had a WRT54GS which was amazing as well. I bought this replace our faulty Linksys "Black Box" router that my father had bought, and I haven't looked back since.
Cons: N/A
Other Thoughts: Not exactly a con, but I never loved the included software.

Excellent
Pros: Xp had the drivers so it was very easy to install. I've always used a wired connection prier to this purchase and was expecting a delay with my connection. Runs great, I am using it on 3 PC's at once. No hiccups as of yet. Highly recommended.
Cons: none

Better than GB + N Routers
Pros: This router replaced a twice-failed DIR-655. I chose this one instead of replacing the DIR-655 for the third time because this router has a higher percentage of 5-stars than the DIR-655 does and also because I used an earlier version of this router before upgrading two years ago to GB and draft N. Since I am essentially downgrading to 100BaseT and B/G I expected to see a reduction in my home network's performance. To my pleasant surprise, I have had no decrease in netwrok performance and have noticed that this product has better DHCP address assignment performance so when our computers are rebooted they are quickly assigned an IP address. With the DIR-655 the delay was noticable. I also have a heavily-used WHS machine which uses UPnP to enable outside access. With the DIR-655 the UPnP often required reset, even with firmware which supposedly fixed UPnP problems. Thsi router required no assistance at all in making the WHS happy. Get this one instead of a Gigabit, N router!
Cons: I corrupted the firmware by using the router's built-in web admin utility as soon as I received it. The power light blinked continuously after the failed update. Luckily, the Linksys support web site gave very good instructions on how to reload the firmware from an attached computer suing an ftpt.exe application. The only problem was that the Linksys support web site link to the ftpt.exe utility is broken. I've addressed that with Linksys.
Other Thoughts: I have seen very poor quality and reliability in the Gigabit, Draft N routers from many common vendors. This older, supposedly slower router beats Belkin, D-Link and even its own Linksys high-end peers.
