Great design, but many minor issues
Pros: This is the best design for fan controllers. Simple, elegant. No need to fiddle around with LCD screens, jog knobs or all the other unnecessarily complicated stuff most fan controllers have. The metal faceplate is well made and looks sharp.
Cons: Low quality design. The knobs do have a nice feel, just the right amount of rotation resistance. The problem is that the knobs wobble/wiggle. Also, the whole unit doesn't really fit well in the case, and the entire thing can wiggle. One of the LCD lights has gone out.
I would be very useful if they added some cable management, like some hooks to wrap cables around or something. As it is, I tape everything up, which slowly falls apart. It would also be nice if the directional indicators on the knobs were easier to see, and you could feel them. Its easy to see the little notches on the knobs straight-on, but most of the time I'm looking at them from a high angle. Also, the LCD lights are recessed into the metal faceplate, making those too a little difficult to see from a high angle. Would be nice if those were bulbs that protruded a little.
Other Thoughts: This thing isn't perfect, the issues are all minor ones, but they do add up. Overall, this is far better than the fan controller I had before that was priced the same, but used an LCD screen with jogging buttons. I will definitely keep this, unless Zalman or someone else takes the *same design* and improves on it.

Works great, lots of cables
Pros: Functions perfectly, came with lots of cables. LED's look cool. I was able to drastically reduce the amount of noise my full tower generates.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: The mounting hardware it came with didn't quite fit in my tower, it wouldn't sit flush with the bay covers and Optical drives. using the mounting hardware that came with my case solved this. Not really a con, I think it had more to do with my case.

Does the Job
Pros: Aluminium faceplate, does what it is supposed to do which is provide control over a multitude of fans (HAF 922 case). Using OEM Cooler Master 120mm and 200mm fans (no LEDs), no problems on startup even with 200mm fans with dial set at minimum.
Cons: As mentioned previously, unit knocks about 10% off your max fan speed. Two out of the six knobs are wobbly, one of which is extremely so - not sure how long that one will last before it possibly breaks off. Expected a little better for this amount of money.
Other Thoughts: Despite the negatives, the controller has turned my wind farm into something bearable when I'm not doing something CPU intensive. If they improved their build quality just a bit, I would be able to recommend without reservation.

Poor build quality
Pros: Quality aluminum exterior plate
Cons: Led out
Other Thoughts: Should have read the reviews more carefully regarding the build quality of this controller. Does control 6 fans and lights are not essential but a nice feature when it works

Excellent fan controller
Pros: Controls up to 6 fans and fairly cheap. Looks perfect in my HAF 932.
Cons: I wish the led's would stay red. If you turn the fans down to lowest speed, the led's are blue. But when you increase it to around 33% and beyond, the led's all turn red. I prefer them to be all red at all times.
Other Thoughts: If you need to control more than 4 fans, this is the fan controller for you.

It works OK
Pros: -Connects up to 6 fans. -Looks nice. -It works.
Cons: -Had to bend the mounts a bit to get it to fit. -If your case has tool less installation than your gonna have to use screws to mount the other side otherwise it won't stay put. -Knobs feel cheap.
Other Thoughts: None

Cool Controler?
Pros: This thing has (obviously) 6 control switches... two (white) for cpu, and 4 blue for additional fans. It matches the Zalman GS-1000 Professional (black) case. The leds go from blue to red when turned up to a higher fan speed... the leds are off when there is no fan plugged in.
Cons: Leds can be too bright, at some points, like at night.
Other Thoughts: Other than the leds, it's a great fan controller, and like stated, it goes great with the black zalman full tower. Works well and hope it lasts a long time.

Great
Pros: Great fan controller, its works just as it should. No problems thus far. Leds change from blue to red when you go from low to high speed.
Cons: I was hoping that i could turn fans off completely with this, but they just slow down

Stylish & practical, but not without caveats.
Pros: Very handsome aesthetics, and allows you to consolidate up to six fans with 3-pin connectors into a single centralized unit. Also, it gives you control over the speed of these fans and, provided they also have an RPM signal lead, you have a visible indicator of their speeds via red/blue LEDs. The extension wires provided were more than adequate for connecting all of my fans, and two of them have a seperate RPM output motherboard connector to facilitate more precise monitoring. In practice, this unit allows me to achieve slightly less fan noise with hardly any signifigant penalties in cooling performance (~3-5 degrees F difference, but YMMV).
Cons: While installation is pretty straightforward, no documentation is provided with the controller. It also required some minor fitting with the brackets to ensure a more snug fit in the 5.25" bay. The potentiometer knobs feel somewhat loose and fragile while being turned and, as others have noted, don't have a profound impact on the speed or noise of the fans they control. Finally, one of the extension wires had a pin that wasn't fully seated and didn't allow my video card cooler fan to power up. If you notice LEDs mysteriously going out on your controller, this might be the reason. Check all of your connections to make sure they're solid.
Other Thoughts: The whole "silent cooling" concept with this controller works not so much in practice as it does in theory, and while it does have some issues that detract from the overall quality and function of the unit, I felt it was a worthwhile investment.

Pros: Works and looks nice.
Cons: It did not exactly line up in my Cooler Master 690. I had to widen the distance between the mounts.
Other Thoughts: It will not exactly line up with every case, so there will probably need to be some small adjustments made to the mounts.

Specialized piece of equipment
Pros: Clean look. Solid construction. Plethora of cables.
Cons: Make sure you know what fans you're going to hook into this bad boy and plan for it when you're building your system as you will have a lot of cable clutter.
Other Thoughts: Good for what it does. Price isn't really an object for me - I go for solid construction and a pleasing appearance. This product delivers both. The connectors only support 3 pin fan power connectors. It comes with 2 power connectors that also can hook into the motherboard to monitor fan speed.

Nice Controller
Pros: Nice clean and stylish look with good fan control. Easy install, worked great from the start.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Knobs have a slightly loose feel, but not bad enough to be a con. Would buy again.

works well, QC issues?
Pros: it looks nice (the black brushed aluminum goes amazingly well with my case). the led's transition from blue to red as you increase the fan speed, so that's nice. it works, especially if you have a lot of fans in the case (mine's an NZXT Tempest which comes with 6 fans, so this works perfectly).
Cons: um, like everyone else said, apparently zalman has some qc issues. one of the knobs on mine will rotate all the way around (the stop on it is loose on the back, so it'll just keep spinning) and one of the led's was doa. not big enough issues for me to RMA it, but a disappointment none the less.
Other Thoughts: be careful with toolless bays on some cases. i had to get inventive with mine to keep the right side from pushing into the bay.
Build: NZXT Tempest case Corsair 750TX PSU DFI Lanparty DK-790FX MR2S AMD Phenom 9950 Agena 2.6 GHz Quad-core Black Edition 8GB G.Skill RAM XFX Radeon HD 4870 Xigmatek Dark Knight CPU cooler Dual Samsung DVD 640GB WD HDD

Pretty much as expected
Pros: If you have a lot of fans, it's a simple but slick looking way to go. People have complained about the feel of the knobs, but I think they were fairly solid and dependable seeming.
Cons: Doesn't fit perfectly into a expansion slot - if you have led or cold cathodes inside, there will be light seepage around the top and sides of the unit. It's very shallow and only mounts to the closest set of screw holes for a slot, which can lead to it being able to move slightly in its slot when pressed. From a personal point of view, the LED for the first fan apparently burnt out, within the first month of use.
Other Thoughts: The LED doesn't bother me terribly - my fans are quiet enough that I keep them at full all the time anyway, which leads me to wonder why I purchased this panel at all. Regardless, it looks pretty good and works as described.

Pros: Unit looks sharp. Lighting is not annoyingly bright. It works. Installed fine in a tool-less case (see other thoughts).
Cons: As another reviewer stated, it doesn't provide 100% power to the fans. My 1200rpm fans only reach 1100. This is ok for me since the reason I wanted a fan controller is to reduce the noise. They'll always be set somewhere less than 100% anyway, but you might want higher rpm fans for this unit if your system heats up easily. Oddly, lights are blue at low rpm and red when turned up past 20% (give or take). I always thought red was for "stop" or at least "slow" but maybe I'm nit-picking here. I deduct an egg for the power reduction since a future rebuild might warrant max fan speeds.
Other Thoughts: My case is a CoolerMaster Centurion 534 RC-534-KKN2-GP. I ripped out the tool-less fittings in the 5 1/2" drive bay section. You can screw in any device that goes in that bay. There are holes on one side and slots on the other that line up perfectly for any optical drive or swap drive bay. This fan controller seats perfectly with all four screws. The 3 1/2" cages are a different story. Screw holes aren't there for the most part. You'll want to keep those cages tool-less.

Good looking controller
Pros: Got this controller in and thought I'd put in a few of my thoughts.
- Nice aluminum look. - Controls 6 fans. - Black color matches my HAF 932. - Clears some of the wiring mess. - Works as intended
Cons: - Knobs wiggle a bit (not a big problem though) - Hard fit in my 5.25" drive bay (not toolless design friendly) - Blue LED doesn't work on mine (red works though)
Other Thoughts: Looks very professional with the way the color and aluminum design match my case. The knobs are a bit jiggly but aren't bad enough for me to knock an egg down. Truly, the biggest gripe is that it's very unfriendly to toolless design cases. It didn't want to be held by my toolless 5.25" drive bay clips. I had to screw it in on the other side to get it to stay in place. LEDs not changing blue aren't a big deal to me since the lights are very small in size. Overall, a very nice and elegant fan controller that does its job.

Stylish looking controller!
Pros: This controller looks awesome in a Silverstone Sugo SG-01. The leds match perfectly! The aluminum looks to be the same quality then my Silverstone case. The leds aren't blindingly bright. They're just enough to show you which ones are turned up, and which ones are set to silent.
Cons: The knobs do seem a bit flimsy, but they're not so bad that I feel like they're going to fall off. You can't turn fans off with the controller, but perhaps that is a good thing. You wouldn't want to accidentally turn the wrong one off...

Not that special
Pros: Very nice looking controlling and came with all the wires to make the connections.
Cons: The knobs are flimsy, and the fan controller does not fit right in with bays that use snap-in rails. It tends to roll up and down and I had to keep adjusting it. This thing is also under-powered, as it would turn my fans from a medium speed to a little faster speed. I could not turn my fans off or on full power with this controller.
Other Thoughts: I RMA'd this controller and purchased the 6-channel Sunbeam Rheobus controller, which I like much better.

Very Good
Pros: Very good works with any 3 pin fan in my computer. Very cool LED indicators not too bright. The nobs are not cheap they are very well built the wiggle a little but nothing to be alarmed about.
Cons: The power connector needs to be long its only about 6 inches in length so you have to route a molex connector to it.
Other Thoughts: I have this installed in a Cooler Master HAF 932.

Pretty Little Controller
Pros: 1 - Controls 6 fans 2 - The brushed black aluminum face looks great 3 - It's a Zalman
Cons: 1 - Knobs are flimsy, feel like they will break off if you're not careful 2 - Knobs are smooth, can't tell if you are actually turning them w/o looking 3 - Variable LED? They are 2 colors (blue & red) w/ no change in intensity 4 - Does not work well with quick release 5.25" drive bays, it "rolls" up and down.
Other Thoughts: I have to take an egg for the knobs (see cons). I'd take another for the Variable Intensity LED's, but I gotta give it back since I realized I purchased the wrong size controller for my needs (give an egg since it gives lots of room for expansion), I actually needed a 4 fan controller. I have to take an egg for it's lack of compatibility with the fairly quick release towers on the market today.

Bummer...
Pros: Zalman fan controller fits in my Zalman GT-1000 case nicely. The knobs turn and the fan speed changes just like it's supposed to do.
Cons: Had it in my system for just a few days and an LED is out already. Just finished requesting an RMA on it. The knobs are flimsy as noted by other reviewers. Don't understand why the finish on this is so different from my Zalman case since they're both black aluminum.
Other Thoughts: I've got several pieces of Zalman equipment and while it seems that they appear to be of high quality, every piece has had some little issue which leads me to question their quality control process.

Zalman Controller
Pros: It is black, matches my case... Does what it needs to do... it's purty... Has four extension cables... lowered case temps from average of 45 to about 37...not amazing...but it works makes case almost silent...almost 40 dB to about 20 dB...i can finally sleep with my computer on...
Cons: big space between top of controller and dvd drive above it... only four extension cables...
didn't come with cookies?
Other Thoughts: Overall good product...
Don't put a massive amount of fans on it...just use the six if you have to...i have four on mine...
possibly add an digital RPM display over each channel?
Had a hard time getting it to fit in my case, but it isn't the controllers fault...my case is rly small...
Just took off the one egg for those small cons...
Add send with cookies!!! lol jk...

Not so Cool
Pros: Nice Looking. Easy to Install.
Cons: Poorly constructed. One of my blue LEDs went out. As noted elsewhere, the knobs feel flimsy, Zalman seems to be going downhill. There are better products on the market. Next build, I'll get one.

It is Zalman
Pros: - Conservative CD-Rom slot factor. - Aluminium front I got mine black. - Bright two color LEDs. Blue from low to medium speed and red at more than medium to maximum. - Pots are sensible. - It has 6 controller that is all I need. - Two channels have a bypass cable to provide the motherboard with RPM readouts, good for CPU and or main case fan for alarm purposes. - Overall it is good quality, Cables are long and connectors are to scale.
Cons: - The pots are expose to crash if you are not careful moving the system, I can't imagine a different design maybe digital but this is not the case so no really a con but something to keep an eye on. - this is nothing especial just a basic yet functional fan controller.
Other Thoughts: I still like the CPU fan to be manage by the motherboard directly, that is one more Chanel to spare and don't have to keep looking at temps or constantly adjusting.

Almost does everything it was intended for.
Pros: It's very aesthetically pleasing, it does it's job on the lower power fans, and it matches my Zalman FC-ZE1 computer case.
Cons: It is not compatible with Zalman CPU coolers such as the CNPS 9700 NT that I own, it can only handle 7 watts per channel, and the knobs are all kinds of flimsy feeling.
Other Thoughts: Why would the same company's fan controller not be compatible with it's own CPU cooler? Also, having only 7 watts per channel limits you to very low power fans, which people that go as far as getting a fan controller probably will have very few of, and more high powered fans than the average computer user. I haven't had any problems with the knobs, but still, a product at this price with the "Plus" branding of it's lower priced predecessor should have some solid feeling knobs at least. Zalman, if you ever come across this review, please include an adapter or two for four pinned fans to three pinned fans.

Reliable and elegant
Pros: This unit has simple, elegant, understated looks of the panel (unlike so many gaudy ones from other companies). More importantly, it works reliably. I'd guess that this controller never runs the fans at full 12v speed, even at the max setting, but that's perfectly fine. You might never want to run your fans at the full speed anyways (if you did, you wouldn't need a fan controller, just a voltage switch). Yet control over the lower speeds (where things go from somewhat quiet to silent) is very fine and accurate. It gives lots of control at the low-end to help you make your air-cooled system inaudible.
Cons: Will not work with all fans. I have a feeling that this uses pulse-width modulation (PWM) to control fans as opposed to simply altering the voltage. Because of this, I had to replace 3 of the 6 fans I was going to use with this unit (fans from 2 video cards, and my northbridge cooler fan). I have this working just fine with Scythe (S-Flex) and Silenx fans. Make sure your fans work with PWM first. Also, they give you plenty of cables for this controller, but in an odd assortment. I ended up make my own cables using the pins and headers they supplied any ways.
Other Thoughts: I detest bright LEDs, or rather any LEDs on the front of my cases, so I took some steps to block out the light. I removed the front panel, painted the LEDs black with a paint pen, and then to be sure there was no light seeping through, I covered the back of the panel with electrical rubber tape, though regular electrical vinyl tape would work too. You could remove the LEDs, but they're soldered to the circuit board (still, easy to twist/snap off). Now the unit is light-free.

Does what it is.
Pros: Nice brushed finish matches my Silverstone LC20-B case well. Controls up to 6 fans. Fairly simple to install. Easy to operate. Great product to control fan noise and/or air flow.
Cons: Alright, so I read all the other reviews and found most of the cons did not really matter to my specific needs or installation.
I was purchasing fans at the same time as the controller so the 7W per channel limitation was no biggie. I didn't have any problems finding 90mm and 80mm fans of decent spec that would work. I didn't see this 7W spec listed on newegg, though it is on the Zalman website.
Out of the box one of the LED's does not work. The controller sits behind a door in my HTPC case so I couldn't care less. The case sits below my TV in direct view and I can't/don't want to see them anyway. Hope the others to go out soon so at least they will be uniform.
The fan speed adjustment knobs stick out a fair amount so make sure you have sufficient room behind your case door. This is probably not an issue for most cases. For me they prevented the drive door on my LC20-B from closing all the way so I had to mount the controller inwards a smidge.
Other Thoughts: Not a perfect score due to some quirks that may be detrimental to some. Decide what you can and can't live with. All in all it does what it is designed to do: control fan speed. I have a total of 8 fans inside my case. This unit controls five of them for me quite nicely. My case temp never rises above 35C and is whisper quiet.
I added the controller to: Silverstone LC20-B Silverstone Strider ST70F Modular 700W Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P AMD 790X AMD Phenom II X4 810 6MB 1800Mhz Zalman CNPS9500AM2 HIS Radeon HD 4850 IceQ4 TurboX 512MB OCZ 4096MB PC10600 DDR3 Seagate 500GB Serial ATA HD Lite On 22X DVDRW Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit

fan controller
Pros: works, my p.c. no longer sounds like a hairdryer on full blast
Cons: the wires in the four pin connector that goes to the controller were loose and the yellow wire came out of the connector and like other people have said, it is smaller than the bay it goes into, there is a gap all the way around the face plate.
Other Thoughts: for 37 bucks, not a bad buy but you think the wires would be connected right and the face plate would be the same size as a cd drive.

Pros: Works as advertised. Has connections to hook up to the CPU fan, but not 4 pin fans as I had thought. Fits well and is flush with the front of my Silverstone SG01 uATX case.
Cons: The 7w maximum is really very limiting. My SilenX IXP 80mm fans run at a higher wattage than 7w, so their top end is limited, but not by much. The lights also dim when the fans are turned down.
Other Thoughts: In all honesty, I regret not spending the extra $15 or so and going with the MFC-2 controller. It would have looked much better, and the 7w limit would not have been present. The thing that drew me away was complaints of poor viewing angle, but in retrospect, this is not very important, only when you are turning power up or down.

Does what its supposed to
Pros: I dont understand some of the negative reviews, you arent buying a government computer that will cook you breakfast in the morning and shower you at night. this is a fan controller which works well. has a very nice quality finish and the brushed aluminum is high quality as well. sure some buttons spin a tad bit fast and that seems a little cheap/flimsy. overall this is a great controller, bright LEDs but i couldnt care about that since i have a door on my p180 that closes, so i dont seem them. mainly bought it to control my Zalman 9500 and it does the job well
Cons: none, although wish the buttons made a little better

It performs it's job well.
Pros: -Fits nicely into a my case. -I was able to get ride of a horrific mess of wires in my case and was able to tidy up the inside very nicely. All the fans receive their power from the controller so you don't have a confusing maze of power connectors if you use more than 3 fans. -LED's turn red when fan is operating above 90% or so, I like it. -The surface finish on the controller is excellent.
Cons: None

Dear Zalman
Pros: Works in many (most?) instances.
Cons: Dear Zalman,
If the specs provided don't state that the darn thing is limited to 7w or less, how is one to know? Do you suppose including this little tidbit of info might be of benefit to a prospective buyer?
I appreciate that you apparently pay attention to the product reviews here. But I fail to understand why you still have not addressed the 3-pin to 4-pin conversion issue.
Thank you for your attention.
Other Thoughts: Having already dealt with a LOGIcal SYStem's garbage and that company's non-existent customer services, it's nice to see a manufacturer pay attention to product reviews and respond, accordingly. Unfortunately, lip service, alone, is not a satisfactory solution where a simple modification or addition to it's product would completely resolve an issue.

I Hate DHL
Pros: The fan controller is great. the LEDs turn colors when on low or high speeed. its realy nice, looks good with a antec 1200.
Cons: Newegg now uses DHL for shipping and thay are worse then USPS. so I figure it will be here in two to three weeks, and I only live two states away.
Other Thoughts: Hey newegg, stick with UPS alright.

Not so impressed
Pros: Controls 6 fans, not too flashy or gimmicky looking.
Cons: Lights quit working after three months of use. Low wattage fans must be turned up to get them spinning before you can turn them down to desired speed. The mounting screws have to be cranked in really tight to keep the unit from shifting up and down in your case.
Other Thoughts: I wasn't going to quibble about having to adjust the fans up to turn them down. Nor would I have said anything about having to over-tighten the screw to keep the unit stable in my case (CM RC-690). But when the lights quit working I had to consider those things in my overall impression of the quality of this product. Outside of the 30 swap option so I can only RMA. I will purchase another brand fan controller to permanently replace this one in my system. My set up is this PSU: 700w SilverStone ST70f Mobo: GA-EP45-UD3P CPU: e8400 @ 3.87Ghz RAM: 2 x 2Mb DDR2 pc8500 GPU: evga GTX260 sc216 HDD: 2 x internal sata WD Caviar 250Gb, 1 x e-sata Samsung 750Gb ODD: 1x DVD Sound: USB speakers (Z-Cinema, Logitech) Monitor: HP w2207 Printer: Canon MX700 Fans: 2 x Xigmatek XLF-F1253, 2 x Xigmatek XSF-F1251, 1 x Coolermaster stock 120mm, 1 x SilverStone 80mm Case: CM RC-690
Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer, We are sorry to hear about the problems you encountered with the MFC1+. The MFC1+ is rated to provide 7W of power per channel. Using fans that require more than 7W could potentially damage the unit. If you would like to obtain a replacement, please fill out the RMA form on www.zalman.com under the Customer Center. Best Regards, Zalman USA

Awesome
Pros: Works great. although the Y spliter for the mother board plug does not recognize the fans in HWmonitor. It may be the fans im useing though. I need to do some swapping out to make sure.
Cons: Just the fan speed monitor for fan 1 and fan 3 which are my 2 CPU fans are not recognized under HWmonitor.
Other Thoughts: I would definitly recommend this to anyone who wants to install more fans in there machine but dont need them running full blast all the time.

it works
Pros: All of the knobs seem to work.
Cons: Cheaply built, 2 of the six LED indicator lights dont work and the knobs each feel different when you turn them. One is loose. I would have returned it but i need a fan controller and none of the others seem to be amazingly well built either, so Ill keep this one.
Other Thoughts: if you have to have a fan controller, this cheap *censored* will do the job, barely.

Nice fan controller
Pros: Nice black aluminum look, looks awesome in my Thermaltake Sword M Controls 6 fans. Heatsinks! Lights change color... hmm.
Cons: As others have mentioned on here, the knobs are a bit wobbly as in off-centered. I want to assure people they are not loose or flimsy... just off-centered
Other Thoughts: Decent product for the price, looks great and does it's job!

Pros: 6 controllers, easy to install, low power consumption.
Cons: well after a yr, 1st 3 controllers are surging, fans going up and down every few seconds, annoying. emailed zalman, hope the either have a solution or rma it. iI'm not buying a new one every yr, lol
Other Thoughts: went thru the connections , no loose or damaged wires, might be getting too hot?...have a full tower coolermaster.

Pros: Excellent finish, good design, controls up to 6 fans, at-a-glance speed monitoring, typica; Zalman quality.

Decent.
Pros: This is a pretty decent looking unit and was easy to install. The main reason I bought this was as a hub for my 6 case fans.
Cons: The range of adjustment for the individual fans is almost unnoticeable. The only way you can really tell anything is happening is the dimming of the fans leds.
Other Thoughts: The market for fan controllers is pretty dim from what I've seen on newegg. Most the designs are poor and from what I've read it's almost a lottery buying these things and getting one without some kind of catastrophic flaw.

Looks Awesome
Pros: This fan controller looks great in my Antec 900 case. It matches really well together. I like how the l.e.d.s change from blue to red at higher rpm's. Easy to install and hook up.
ANTEC 900 owners - Just be aware that this fan controller only accepts fans with the 3-pin connectors. I had to take all my fans out that came with the case and replace them with Antec Tri-Cool 3 pin connectors so I could use this fan controller to control them from the outside. The extra work was worth it, it really sucked having to open the case to adjust fan speeds. Bad move on ANTEC.
The construction seems to be pretty good. I like that they used heatsinks on the electronics, that should help them last longer. Six channels is a good amount too.
Cons: I agree with most when it comes to saying that the knobs are flimsy. Not really a big con but Zalman could have done a better job on this. It still works good though, I haven't had any problems.
I'm trusting that Zalman makes a good product cause I have my CPU fan connected to the fan controller. It's great cause I can almost instantly drop the temp of the CPU if I have too but if this controller ever craps out on me I'll probably have to get a new CPU as well.
Other Thoughts: I have still yet to connect my 200mm fan at the top of the case to the fan controller although I'm not sure if the controller can handle a fan of that size. The fan also doesn't have a 3-pin connector so I'll have to figure something out.
I currently use and abuse...

Very nice fan controller
Pros: It has 6 channels which should be enough for almost any case out there. Comes with 3 pin cable extenders for fans that don't have a long enough cord to reach it. It makes my Antec Three Hundred case nearly silent.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: The lights for each channel are blue when they are turned all the way down, and switch over to red once it is turned up about 1/3 of the way.

good fan controller
Pros: controls well
look professional
has heatsinks! ive seen controller catch on fire! simple solution=heatsink!
6 channels in more than enough
Cons: 7W per channel is mediocre *to convert to watts, multiply voltage (usually 12V) by the amps that the fan draws
knobs suck, seriously. they wobble but they seem pretty solid.
leds suck, doesnt really change, just switches from blue to red when fan is over 50%
HOW DO YOU MESS UP A 5.25" BAY??? COME ON...
Other Thoughts: 5V minimum is enough to make most fans quiet
Use electrical tape inside case to block light from panel edges (bit small on edges)
most of the flaws dont really matter to me the biggest fan i have draws 6.5W so im good

Solid, High Quality
Pros: Great quality, solid construction. The Brushed Aluminum front goes great with aluminum cases like my Silverstone TJ07. The knobs turn with great precision. Maximum number of fan controls i've seen at 6.
Cons: The plugs can be difficult to attach if the unit is installed in the bay.
Other Thoughts: I love the simplicity of this unit. No flashy display, maximum functionality. I have had two for over a year now and I am constantly adjusting them for gaming vs normal computing.
Sunbeam DOES NOT make a better controller.

Poor Quality
Pros: Nice brushed aluminum, color changing LEDs based on voltage, comes with 3 pin Y splitters so the motherboard can still monitor fans while its hooked up to the controller.
Cons: Knobs suck. They have a lot of wobble in them and the fans actually change speed slightly if there hit because of all the play. Unit also only regulates voltage between 1-11. Should be able to turn them off completely. Most fans won't spin until you hit 7, but thats normal with most fan controllers.
Other Thoughts: Sunbeam makes a much better fan controller.

Works great for me!
Pros: It works, and it looks professional. the face is anodized aluminum, not plastic. I'm running 6 120mm scythe fans with no problems.
Cons: Although I haven't set it up like this, you can use it to control your CPU fan; DON'T. set your fan settings in your BIOS and let the Motherboard handle it. Chances are you will turn down the fan to get it quiet, the forget to turn it back up and crash your system when the processor loads up. Use this for case fans and you'll be fine.
Other Thoughts: the LEDs aren't what I expected. From the pictures I thought they were just blue and changed brightness according to the fan speed but that's not the case. the lights are blue from 0-25%, then they change to red. It doesn't look bad, just FYI.

One channel didn't work
Pros: It controls the speed of the fans from 7-11 volts just like it says. Nice brushed black color. Led's let you know at a glance if a fan is on LOW or HIGH speed. Comes with extension cables for far away fans in full tower cases. I would say that going from high to low speed reduces the noise in my case by about 50%.
Cons: Channel 3 didn't work... at all... the LED doesn't work, and the fan doesn't spin. Tested with a volt meter and sure enough, no juice.
Other Thoughts: RMA'd and NewEgg is taking care of the problem, a new one is on the way. This is why i buy from NewEgg, computer stuff is complex, so every once in a while something won't work right, and NewEgg makes dealing with these problems almost pleasant.

Almost Great
Pros: Worked fine to control Cpu Fan, Video card fan and 2 case fans. The case 3 wire fans connected OK. The 2 wire Video card fan connected to supplied 3 pin plug without modification (Contollable, but no led or RPM indication). 4 wire Intel processor fan had to be modified to fit - I cut off one end of supplied 3 pin connector to allow phisical connection.
Cons: A 3 to 4 pin adapter should be provided, as this is a standard Intel processor fan connection. The supplied screws did not fit the holes in the mounting bracket. I had to use a 6/32 tap to get the holes usable.
Other Thoughts: The fit looks OK. At least as good as my two optical drives. I did not like the new DHL Smart shipping. The package can't be tracked as well as UPS and was not packaged nearly as well.

Great Product
Pros: Quality construction - several reviews state loose or wobbly knobs - not here. All required hardware & 3-pin extension cables included. Aluminum faceplate looks & feels impressive. LEDs are mighty bright for being so small.
Cons: Not a con - just a fact - no 4-pin adapters included but it looks like 4-pin adapter doesn't work well with the LED sensors anyway. I tried one and on that line the LED doesn't work.
Other Thoughts: Cables that loop into the mobo fan headers were nice surprise, allowing speed monitoring. Tried it with my Arctic Cooler Freezer 64 - and found the supposed "silent" CPU heatsink is the loudest part of my build - lol.

Works Beautifully
Pros: I've had this for about a month now, and have it installed to control my 7 system fans. (I own an NZXT Tempest and then added another one to redirect air.). Anyways, upon installation, everything worked fine. I put everything on the lowest settings and now my system is quiet beyond all reason.
Cons: Cables create a bit of mess without proper cable management.

Works but...
Pros: Color matches my case. Controls the speed of my fans but had to purchase seperate 3 pin to 4 pin adapters so do your homework. I did not, my fault. It does what its suppose to do but I think Zalman can tweek this a bit and do better. Learn from the reviews and get quality control and design team on it right away.
Cons: 1st one the wires came disconnected from the unit with very little force. None of the lights worked at all. RMAed to a new one, that unit only the forst 3 LEDs worked, the remaining 3 will not no matter what I do. Now today after 6 months of ownership the 2nd LED went out.
Other Thoughts: I'm disappointed because Zalman is known for better quality products. Will I but Zalman again, of course...just not a fan controller.I'd try a different unit and a different company product but reading all the reviews seems theres really not 1 rock solid fan controller out there without flaws or poor quality reliability.

....
Pros: nice coloring; design; when u use it.. the LED turns into blue when u turn to Min speed. it turns into red when u turn to Max speed. that's cool..matches with the case fan he has.
Cons: when i open it up... that nods arent tide enough... and when i tried to screw it onto his case... i found that the right side pannel doesnt have any screw holes..... so i only let it hang right there..
Other Thoughts: i ordered it for my friend.. he likes it's design.. so he didnt want to return it..

Pros: easy control of multiple fans, looks shapr in my case
Cons: can't really think of any
Other Thoughts: hooked these up to 4 different rosewill hard drive coolers and one case fan. I had to hard wire the hard drive coolers to the fan connectors because stock they came with molex connectors. They are only 2 wire fans so i don't get any feedback for the little lights to work. overall though a good solution to keep my case as quiet as possible when not in heavy use.

Solid, Blends Well, Works Great!
Pros: I've owned this for over 3 months and the panel has a nicely finished (fine brush pattern) aluminum front. It blends well with my Antec P180B.
The 6 channels (knobs) with the blue-to-red LEDs are great (blue for low, red for high). Gives it a modern yet refined feel. The knobs turn easily and quietly.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I currently have 4 120mm case fans attached to this panel (1 on each channel). I like the finish and the blending. The first two knobs are nice and are meant to be used with thermally-controlled fans that are also linked to the motherboard.
I had to spend some time figuring out how to get it to stop wobbling up and down after screwing it onto my case's removable drive trays (with silicone tips on the screw holes).

Sweet
Pros: 6 fans controlled by you, fits my case (Antec Twelve Hundred) very well.
Cons: The knobs do feel flimsy, but you get used to it.
Other Thoughts: The lights above the knobs turn from blue to red, i dont care, not a pro or con to me. Comes with extension cables but do not use 4-pin molex to the 3-pin as you loose a lot of the vairable speeds that the fans can do. But if you have 3-pin fans then this is for you

Works, but LED lights are dying fast
Pros: Works as advertised. Looks cool, matches my Lian Li case. Knobs feel pretty sturdy. Lights aren't overly bright. Nothing different to say than other reviews said. Giving 3 stars and the benefit of the doubt because it still does work even though
Cons: Didn't know that it cant spin the fans @ 100%, it doesn't say anything about that anywhere. Upon 2nd reboot one of the LED's went out (#6). LED no more worky but fan still works. I changed the CPU heatsink out a couple weeks later and now only #1 and #3 LEDs work. Before that #'s 1, 3,4,5 worked but all fans still spin. Now only 2 LEDs work out of 6.
Other Thoughts: I did nothing but change some fans and the CPU heatsink out, from Silverstone to Scythe fans with no power to the system whatsoever, and i'm stuck with phantom LED light problem that can only be associated with bad QA.

Decent, but not perfect.
Pros: Six channels, looks great. Works as advertised.
Cons: The knobs do feel flimsy and cheap. I don't know why they couldn't make them feel better.
Other Thoughts: Max voltage of this controller per channel is 11, which means it will never run your fans at 100%. If you need to run some of your fans at 100% get a different controller or buy some more powerful fans.

nice product
Pros: This controller looks really nice in Tt Armor..black matches well..controls 25cm side fan to, not as much as smaller fans but still speeds it up....
Cons: gets a bit hot...had to separate my DVD drive 1 bay away from it.....dont let that stop you from getting it though...

Awesome Controller
Pros: 6x 3pin fan controller setup. Each has its own knob so you can customize however you wish. The LED lights are good and not too bright. Simple easy to install and control.
Cons: None. This fan controller is perfect.
Other Thoughts: If you turn the fan speed up the light changes from blue to red. Its also about the same area where you can start to hear the fans. I dont know if they planned it that way, but its pretty slick. NewEgg rocks

6 fans controller - works good
Pros: Does the job it's suppose to do. All fan controls and LED's work properly
Cons: Knobs seem to be slightly loose, however they havent fallen off so I assume it's ok
Other Thoughts: Doesnt quite reach the full rpm on the fans when turned up. it's close though

A must have
Pros: Every power user should have one of these. You want great fans for the intense moments... but during the dull moments, I like some peace and quiet.
Cons: If you are moving cables around, a small snag can easily pull out the power connector from the back of the faceplate. If you don't have much room, this could be difficult to plug back in without removing the control panel you just mounted.
Other Thoughts: Watch your temps, and don't be afraid to crank up that wind tunnel.

Pretty Good
Pros: it has 6 channels, no other fan controller does that. the knobs don't stick out too far, the door closes on my lian-li PC-A71b. a nice black aluminum that matches my lian-li perfectly.
Cons: LEDS are a little on the bright side. the knobs feel janky if you give them a jiggle, but they hold up fine.
Other Thoughts: pretty good product, im happy, NEWEGG ROCKS!

Does what it's supposed to do
Pros: Mounted easy in my CM-690 case. Directions were clear. Has a good quality feel to it. Looks good when installed.
Cons: LEDs on the front are a bit too bright.
Other Thoughts: This was a godsend for me because I could not find an app that effectively controlled all of my case fans... Kind of sad, but this did the trick.

LED's didnt work
Pros: It does a very good job of controlling my fans and keeping my computer quite when i sleep.Or bumping up the speed while I am gaming.
Cons: None of the LED's worked which i was kind of looking forward to.
Other Thoughts: LED's not working don't bother me to much it still looks pretty cool with out them

Simple
Pros: Simple clean design, allows 6 fans to be plugged in and has extensions for the fan cables
Cons: i bought this because of the red LED but when you turn them down the LEDs turn blue which is a little annoying.
Other Thoughts: havent even installed this yet so i gave it 4 incase it goes bad.

Working Great
Pros: Nice black face matces perfectly my coolermaster 590 case,Fan knobs work fine,Mounted just fine.
Cons: there is a very small space around the faceplate..nothing crazy. Why cant these companys get it that the fan controller should have a higher speed at full blast then just running the fan alone with no controller!?!Its a little pricey for what u get..should be 20 or 30 dollars max.
Other Thoughts: Nice deal

Value Product
Pros: Cheap, works, clean design, easy installation. What more could you want from a fan controller?
Cons: My big complaint with this unit is the face plate is just a tad small so there are gaps. Otherwise for the money hard to beat.

Not liking the design.
Pros: It works. LEDs are nice.
Cons: Case fans take 4 pins, zalman fans and this unit take 3. Therefore, I can only control my zalman cpu cooler (9700). I need to see if I can get adapters.
It sticks out. So as of now, it's counter sunk in my case (Xclio A380) so I can close the door on the front. So it looks like you know what. It doesn't even fit right in the bay and has about 1 mm around the edges where light comes through. Overall, the fit sucks, and no matter what case you have, you will have gaps between the unit and case. Just expect it.
Other Thoughts: Go with the electronic unit! (MC-2?)
Stay away. There are better products, I assure you. Just find something with a better design. And anything that doesn't protrude out far is nice. The knobs will interfere with many drive bay doors.

Does the job - no problems
Pros: Hooked up six fans and am having no problems. 2 of them connected to the motherboard to monitor the RPM's. Quieted my case considerably.
Cons: Wish they could have made the unit longer so I could have used the back 2 screws in the mounting area so it would be more sturdy. The fan knobs on the unit seem loose (all of them).
Other Thoughts: Does the job, all led's work as they should

Good fans
Pros: Recieved fans right on time, and I must say, they blow tons of air. I bought seven of them for my case and they keep my mobo at a good 33 degrees when the ambient is 32 degrees! Wow!
Cons: Loud, but not that loud. The seven I have may be loud, but it's not loud enough that I have to turn up the tv or tunes to drown it out. If you don't mind "loud", then this isn't a con
Other Thoughts: I bought the Zalman mfc1 plus to tone down the fans if I have family in the room and they don't like how loud it is, but I rarely have it turned down any higher than max. These fans are rated at .53amps each at 12 volts which means these use 6.36 watts a piece. Get these fans if you want a cool case!

nice layout but.........
Pros: well first newegg rocks, shipping was fast and as usual and well priced. the controller looks good with a Centurion 590 case, there is a small gap around the edges but with a black case you cant really tell unless its dark and you see the back of the leds light up. the knobs require very little force to move and to some they may feel cheap, but to me they were perfectly fine. cables were plenty long enough to keep the cables organized.
Cons: Here is why i gave it only 3 eggs instead of 5. to mount the controller there are 2 holes with threads on each side to bolt it on to the case. well mine only had threads on one side, so it could not be bolted. i tried to zip tie it but then it was uneven and not flush with the case. to spend this much on an item like this you would expect some better quality control.
Other Thoughts: if it weren't for the non threaded side this product would deserve 5 eggs and i would have kept it, but i will be getting a refund

Spacing Between Drives
Pros: Can Control 6 fans, 2 with Monitoring capability.
Cons: Does not provide monitoring for all 6 fans, this isn't a large enough con for me to warrant dropping it a star.
Other Thoughts: Other's have complained that this Device doesn't quite fit properly between their other drives and case. I must say that the spacing between them is about the same as you'd have between any other 5.25" drive, the only reason you notice is because it has no top panel. As for any shakiness in the drive, for me there is none because it's fully secured by two screws on either side. Seriously, so long as you know how to mount the drives properly you should have no issue with this device.

good stuff
Pros: Tone down those noisy fans! On my newest mother board the NB fan was a howler, with this puppy installed I could pick what performance to noise ratio I want with a simple turn of a knob
Cons: When properly installed, the knobs would not allow my cases front door to close. Nothing that couldn't be worked around but I could do without the hassle.
Other Thoughts: I love this thing

clean
Pros: Six channels. Attractive brushed aluminum faceplate. Fits my Lian-li case almost perfectly in terms of size and aesthetics. Cleans up the rat's nest of Y-cables I had with six case fans. Makes my noisy fans quiet, and gives my case a properly controlled airflow. Reliable performance so far.
Cons: Low amperage per channel. I would like it to be higher to accomodate some of the more powerful fans, or to double up fans on one of the channels. Full speed on the knob turns the fan at a speed less than what the fan is normally capable of. LED's are a little too bright.
Other Thoughts: I removed the faceplate and mounted this thing inside my PC. I don't want a bunch of knobs breaking up the sweet lines of my expensive case.

Nice
Pros: Very straight forward design, well assembled, quality materials. This controller works great with my oft-noisy Rexus NMB-MAT's. The blue/red LED's are a nice touch.
Cons: As stated previously, it is a bit smaller than a standard 5.25 opening. I was able to center it and the spaces aren't obvious or distracting.

Great
Pros: 6 channels, good LEDs, sturdy knobs that are east to turn. Extension cable.
Cons: Doesn't fully fit in a 5 1/4" drive bay. Doesn't come with molex to 3 pin adapters. LEDs only show if yellow wire is present.
Other Thoughts: I had to buy molex to 3 pins. Overall a great product.

Wierd... doesn't fit properly
Pros: Does what it says it does. The black front is kind of stylish.
Cons: Replugging and managing wires once the unit is in place is kind of a pain. What it really weird is that (at least with a Lian Li case) the front bezel does not line up with the case. This thing also refuses to sit straight - it tends to "sag" a little, giving off a lopsided impression from the outside.

Pros: Controls 6 fans with common 3 pin Molex connector. Great finish and professional-looking on front panel. Tames high cfm Scythes and lower cfm Zalman fans equally well.
Cons: Only con I have is that I think they should have included more cables with the sensor tail on them. I have an abit IP-35 Pro Mobo, and it can monitor 6 fans (not just two). Two of the fans are Scythes, so there's no way I was plugging it straight into the the header on the board.
Other Thoughts: It's easy enough to make the tail or extensions yourself if you can use a soldering gun and get the molex parts. I ended up making my own for 3 other fans.

Good controller
Pros: This is a good controller, i.e., it does what is it supposed to do. The knob control is smooth and blue to red lights give you an idea of fan speed if you are not actively monitoring rpms. It was easy to install and has a nice, black finish.
Cons: It would be nice if it had a four pin connector for many of the CPU coolers that are on the market and/or a four pin molex for connections to many case fans. Be aware, therefore, that it does not work for any fan requiring four pins.
Other Thoughts: Note that if you monitor fan rpms through your motherboard, this unit "only" contains two connections with monitoring capabilities.

Works like a Charm
Pros: -6 channels through 1 fan controller. My Cosmos S case allowed for 6x 120mm fans so this made a perfect pair. -even though some people expressed concerns with the "wobble" I didnt get any wobble with my installation (just make the screws tighter and its stable)
Cons: -there is a small gap at (top or bottom) depends on how you mounted it. this isnt a big deal if you dont want it to be. You could easily use a black rubber strip to trim the edge and look clean and factory. It will also stop the blue/red light leaks. -Only real concern I have is that this thing gets HOT! there are lil heatsinks on the back but wow.. it gets hot. Not sure how this will effect longevity of this product.
Other Thoughts: CURRENT SETUP I USED WITH THIS PRODUCT MOBO: Asus Rampage Formula, CPU: Intel E8400 3.0GHz, HSF: Zalman CNPS 9700 NT, VIDEO: BFG Nvidia 9800 GX2, RAM: 4GBs Corsair Dominator, POWER: PC Power and Cooling 750watt, CASE: Coolermaster Cosmos S

Works Well
Pros: This controller matches my Lian Li V1100b case perfectly. Like the previous version of Zalman's fan controller, this functions exactly as it was intended.
Cons: None. All expectations were met.
Other Thoughts: I replaced Zalman's ZM-MFC1 fan controller with this. Although that controller worked well, I was never happy about the cosmetic mismatch. This item rectified that issue without compromising functionality.

Look elsewhere.
Pros: Does what it should.
Cons: Its not the right size. ZALMAN, what are you thinking? How can you mess up the size of a baybus? Its about 1/8" short on the top/bottom and 1/16" on the sides. Light leaks out of the case around it. Looks... not that great. The knobs are also... flimsy. I touch it as little as possible b/c i'm scared i'll break it.
Other Thoughts: If it wasn't for shipping and the hassle of being without it to split power... i'd exchange it for a different one.

Much better than I had expected...
Pros: I was worried about some of the user reviews on the knobs being loose, the 5.25 insert not being deep enough, etc. I suppose it depends on your standards and I'm pretty picky but for the price, you get what you pay for and then some. Great product and worked exactly like I had hoped.
Cons: Like some others have mentioned, I wish the LED color pattern was reversed and even made a little dimmer since frankly, it's not like I am staring at it for active monitoring.
Other Thoughts: This made my Lian-Li PC-A70 case with 6 chasis fans a perfect match. The extenders that come witht he case fan made life easy and I didn't have to have 6 fans plugged into my mobo with wires everywhere. I just ran them along my chasis and into a bay and BLING, instant airflow. BTW, I am a first time builder but did enough research and no regrets - yey :)

Fun Little Toy
Pros: This thing is pretty awesome. Looks great with my Antec 900, though the case fans for that box are 4 pin, not 3 pin. Easily solved with a $15 trip to the local electronics store for some 4 pin to 3 pin adapters. Still trying to decide which of my 3 bays I want to permanently mount it in but I stuck it in the top one for testing purposes and it works great.
Cons: Like everyone has mentioned, it misses the height requirement for a 5.25" bay by just a smidge. Trying to come up with an attractive solution, I don't like open space on the front of my case! Knobs are a little flimsy as stated in other reviews but I don't plan on twisting them far too often.
Other Thoughts: Wish LEDs were blue instead of red at higher levels so the color scheme matched my Antec 900, but it still looks awesome.

This thing is great
Pros: Allows you to control 6 fans vs 4 for many others. Looks very chic relative to other fan controllers (doesn't have UV, neon, spoiler, etc...)
Does what it's supposed to and comes with extension cables, which is good.
Cons: Doesn't increase my 3Dmark06 score. Can't monitor fan speed (although I really don't care to anyway).
Other Thoughts: This is a great fan controller if you just want to adjust voltage and you don't care about monitoring the fans. The fans are blue up to 1/3 of the way, and then turn red the rest of the way, just FYI. Some people like me care a lot about these things.

Nice product
Pros: This controller was really well made. It is definitely a great choice for anyone wanting a nice-looking, reliable fan controller without the steep price of the LCD versions. The 6 channels are very well planned out for controlling a full array of fans as well as two system controlled fan inputs. Definitely made the stock fans a bit quieter, but they were loud before. Waiting on my Zalman 9700 CPU cooler and some new fans so thats the reason for a 4. I need to know the full functionality before passing judgment.
Cons: Not 4 pin friendly, but not a big deal. you shouldn't use stock case fans for this unless they are 3-pin. The directions were clear to me, but might not be to a builder or modder not familiar to Zalman's pictograph diagrams.
Other Thoughts: Make sure you have all 3-pin molex supporting fans or its back to the wire stripper for ya. Fits in my NZXT lexa black line even with the door closed, so its very mid tower friendly.

Running quiet
Pros: Very easy to install (looks a little confusing at first). Does a great job controlling fan rpm's.
Cons: As another user stated, not real stable in a tool-less case. Moves a little bit, but it's not going anywhere.
Other Thoughts: A must have if you're using multiple case fans.
