Mouse DOESN'T WORK
Pros: Excellent price. Works for keyboard.
Cons: Maps mouse Y axis to scroll wheel, making it ABSOLUTELY USELESS for use with a mouse.
Other Thoughts: Big clearish molded USB plug contains controller chip and green LED. Far end of USB plug is a little lopsided in shape, suggesting cheap manufacturing. Keyboard and mouse work the same no matter which PS/2 socket they're plugged into. Haven't tried it with 2 keyboards or 2 mice yet, which it says it supports.

Good for direct connect not older KVM
Pros: It was pretty cheap and newegg delivers it pretty fast. It works well so far for direct hookup to desktop computer.
Cons: I have an older KVM switch setup and it only partially works with it. It is a wireless keyboard and mouse run through a KVM between two computers. The keyboard works but the mouse doesn't. You also have to plug both mouse and keyboard in to make the keyboard work. Using the keyboard connection that is working and plugging an extra USB mouse in to use the mouse.
Other Thoughts: Reading the reviews here, this product probably works well for newer KVM switches. Mine is about 7 years old. It is a good idea since for some reason some motherboards do not come with a PS/2 port for keyboard and mouse.

Works without a hitch
Pros: Works right out of the box, no drivers necessary! USB bus powered.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I like how it works even with just one device plugged in. I have it only for a mouse. My keyboard is native USB.

As Indicated
Pros: Just as advertized. It works as it is designed to (as far as i know), and lets me use my old ps2 keyboard/mouse. plus a usb extender cable gives me plenty of slack if needed.
Cons: NOTE: the following MAY NOT apply to all computers!
There is one *small* catch i've discovered: the keyboard doesn't want to work in the bios setup. i believe this is because of the usb connection -- since the keyboard/mouse are now connected via the usb bus, the usb bus drivers (or whatever) must load before the keys/mouse can work. i could be wrong here, but i suspect that few bios setups load in the usb bus. HOWEVER -- if i need to access the bios setup, all i need to do is simply move the keyboard to the motherboard's normal, built in ps2 port. problem solved. and this doesn't bother me because when i need to access the bios, chances are i'm working on the compy, which means i've got the computer case opened up and located close to me. so this is not inconvenient.
Other Thoughts: if the above hitch (which may not happen on every computer) is bothersome, remember that you CAN have more than one keyboard and mouse connected to the computer at once. if the backside of the computer case is not easily accessed, it might be convenient to have a cheap or spare keyboard also connected to the normal on-board ps2 port, and parked on or near the computer case. this way there's no need to futz with cabling, and there's always a quick access terminal for the bios. kinda handy, imho. now, would a wireless key/mouse be a little more convenient? probably...but i've found the only good wireless key/mouse sets are not cheap, and there's also the added cost of batteries. the money difference is not great in the long run, but i'm just as happy going this route, and spending the money i saved on a new hard drive :o)

Works fine with PS/2 keyboard and USB KVM
Pros: I got this to use my favorite PS/2 keyboard with my USB-only KVM. It worked without a hitch.
Cons: None so far.

WORKED LIKE A CHARM!!!
Pros: I have a PS/2 Compaq internet keyboard that is real heavy duty! This is not one of those CHEAP junk keyboards that you can lift with one finger. I bought this converter praying that it would work with my keyboard. Without a hitch it worked like a charm. Windows detected the adapter quickly and I was getting back to business as usual!!!
Cons: None so far!!!
Other Thoughts: If you have an old heavy duty "not cheaply made" keyboard that is PS/2 and you want to take advantage of your USB ports! Then this adapter is for you!!!

1st good / 2nd bad
Pros: I ordered one of these a while back and it worka like a charm with my IOGear KVM switching between a Thinkpad, MacBook or Desktop.
Cons: I ordered the same product again, attach it to the same Thinkpad, MacBook, or Desktop and it doesn't work. RMA'd with the same results.
Other Thoughts: Haven't tried it without the KVM mouse as I don't have a PS/2 mouse. It may work without the KVM.

Nice product, bad Newegg
Pros: Works great, solid connection on both the PS2 and the USB ends. Much better than the other brand of adapter I use.
Cons: For the product, none. See other thoughts
Other Thoughts: I bought one of these a few months back for use on a KVM, which is part of my workstation for repairing computers (I run my own onsite PC repair business). I was impressed with the product, much more so than the other brand I use, so I decidced to buy 2 more.
Newegg gives a discount on certain products when you buy in bulk, this one included. However, most of the time, they will also give you free shipping when you buy in bulk. Not so with this *very lightweight* product. 5 of these in a box wouldn't be worth $4 shipping, and they want to charge me $4.03 EACH for two of these?! That's $8.06 just for shipping two of these to me.
Outrageous, Newegg. Shame on you for jacking up the cost of such a cheap product by tacking on extra shipping charges. I would gladly pay the $4.03 one time for shipping two of them, but paying it on each crosses the line. Because of this, I'm going to look locally and buy something I probably won't like as much.

Nice Item
Pros: My wife's PC is an "all-in-one", with all the functional components built into the 17" LCD display housing and base. It's a nice PC (still working fine after over 4 years of constant use) but the mobo is basically an oversized laptop chassis. The original wireless keyboard and mouse never worked all that great, and it has no PS2 mouse or keyboard ports and only 4 USB ports, so using 2 USB ports for a wired mouse and keyboard left only 2 USB for other devices. Adding this converter allowed us to free up an additional USB port, which may not sound like much but has come in very handy over time. This item has been working fine for well over a year now.
Cons: It does take a few seconds for the OS to initialize this device after bootup, leaving the mouse and keyboard non-functional, but it's not much of a delay. Occasionally they will both drop out again for 3-5 seconds, but this is not frequent at all, perhaps once every 4-5 hours of constant use. This could be particular to her system and not the cable, so I'm not detracting any eggs.
Other Thoughts: This has been a good purchase, I'm glad we found it.

kinda works
Pros: Works for most keys on my Microsoft Wireless Natural Multimedia Keyboard.
Cons: The special buttons on top of the keyboard (My Documents, My Pictures, My Music, and Messenger) do not work at all. When I press those buttons, nothing happens.
Interestingly enough, some of the other special buttons (Media, Mail, and Home) do work except that they cannot be reassigned.
Most annoying of all is that if I hold a button down for more than a second, the key will get disabled. For example if I hold the shift key to capitalize a letter or if I hold down backspace/delete to erase a word, those keys stop working right afterwards.
Other Thoughts: If you have Microsoft Wireless Natural Multimedia Keyboard, can't live without it, and you do not mind the 3 cons listed above, then this is the converter for you. I'm going to try a different converter and if that doesn't work, get a new keyboard.

does not work as well as others
Pros: None.
Cons: I have a masterview kvm switch and this adapter did not work with pc, the pc gave keyboard errors. Another adapter from cables unlimited usb-2400 worked with no problem.
Other Thoughts: Not all adapters are the same, even though you would think this is a simple media conversion.

Works, in a pinch part 2
Pros: Attached to a powered USB Hub it works fine. Also, it picks up multiple keystrokes (tested playing left 4 dead) read previous review, works with KVM (IOGear GCS612A), can use PS/2 KB/Mouse (not sure for barcode scanners)
Cons: USB Port power needed is rather high. I had to plug the thing into a powered hub to get it to act like normal.
Now that it's attached to a powered hub it seems all the symptoms from previous are gone.
Other Thoughts: My previous review was hasty, I should have tested other configurations. it seems rather irritating that it has to be attached to a powered hub.
Also, these were all Dell/Generic/Logitech basic keyboards. I haven't tested with more advanced keyboards so it may be better or worse.
Side note: my previous review said that the LOCK lights flashed, now on a powered hub, it does not do this.

Works, in a pinch
Pros: · Allows you to use your old PS/2 keyboards and mice · Just so happens to work with a KVM Switch (mine is an IOGear GCS612A) · Works in BIOS***
Cons: · Sometimes it lags. · Lag is based on CPU use, high CPU use, high lag. · Sometimes the keyboard misses a few keystrokes as it "wakes up" · Sometimes keys stick. · Sometimes the keyboard stops responding. · Sometimes complete keys stop working for a short period of time. · All the LOCK keys will flash at random intervals (seems to flash when the keyboard or mouse isn't doing anything for a second)
*** Doesn't work AT ALL between bios and full OS boot. This is inconvienient as I have multi-boot OS and the OS select doesn't work (no keyboard inputs work). Also, for example, this will break anything having to do with "press any key to boot from CD" or similar.
Other Thoughts: In a pinch this can work, but for me the disadvantages are too much for it to be useable for me.
Since I needed this for Dells with no PS/2 plugs the problems are just excessive.
I can also see a problem since there is a "warm up" period between when a key is pressed and the keyboard responds. For example, Barcode scanners.
Sticking keys could also cause a problem.
typed this all with my old PS/2 KB with this thing attached and believe me, it was frustrating.
Again... Works, IN A PINCH.

Pros: Plug-and-play, works fine with Vista64.
Cons: It's true that there's an occasional hiccup when using with old IBM type M keyboard. Havent got a chance to test with other keyboards. Wish there was only one connector which would make it look tidy - while typing this, it just came to me that I can just cut one off. Oh well.
Other Thoughts: After trying a couple of modern USB keyboards, I decided to that I need to find a way to use old type M keyboard. This product let me do exactly that on the new Vaio laptop, which does not come with a dedicated port replicator. Sure the occasional hiccup (due to power consumption, I read) is kinda annoying but I think it's not really the product's fault.

bad
Pros: Initially I was impressed because it worked, or so I thought.
Cons: ... but then I noticed a trend- it would change my keyboard to ALL CAPS (ignoring the Caps Lock key) and I would have to unplug it, then hit CTRL-SHIFT-C on my laptop's keyboard to reset which only worked some of the time. It also did some other funky things like it sometimes permanently kept the windows key 'pressed'. I'm about to buy a replacement for this since it is really frustrating. Many times it will ignore your first key stroke if you've waited a while to type. Then it flashes all of the lights on the keyboard and starts to accept your subsequent keystrokes. Don't think you're getting a bargain with this. Spend a few dollars and get a higher end unit.
I'm using an older MS Natural Keyboard (0.5A max) so maybe it's just drawing too much current. YMMV.

Works perfectly!
Pros: Lets you use your PS2 keyboard and mouse on a single USB port, has a cute little light that lets you know when it's functioning
Cons: None that I've seen yet, other than I kind of wish it was 2 separate adapters instead of a Y-connector
Other Thoughts: I bought this adapter for my Logitech media keyboard. I haven't tried the mouse port on the adapter, but my keyboard works perfectly. Not only that, all the media keys are functional and you can definitely press more than one key at a time (all keyboard shortcuts work in windows). Exactly what I needed!

Should Work Fine... For Most People
Pros: Cheap and does what it should.
Cons: Purchased two of these to use in tandem with a KVM switch because I run a computer repair shop and am always working on four to five machines at once, and many of them are the Dell Dimensions that don't have PS/2 ports. After a few hours of use the KVM would freeze up and require a restart. It consistently got worse as the day went on and I started panicking thinking it was the KVM that was going out. In my panic, I purchased a new KVM because I'm dead in the water without one. Right after purchasing a new $250 KVM I realized that it wasn't the KVM, but these adapters that was causing it to freak out. Currently working on canceling the KVM order to save myself the money.
Other Thoughts: By all accounts, these adapters should work fine for most people because most people don't use KVM switches. If you do use a KVM switch: buyer beware. Honestly, I don't know if there are any PS/2-to-USB adapters out there that are completely compatible with KVMs.

Pros: Well made good quality. If you have a KYBD and Mouse you want to connect to a PC, this adapter cable will work well.
Cons: The cabe didn't work with my video,KYBD,Mouse switch that uses the PS/2 style connectors. My laptop freaks out when this cable is in line with the switch. The cursor flickers continuously.

Pros: Decent Price It worked on everything I plug it into (PC with a usb port and two ps/2 devices for those of you taking "everything" literally.)
Cons: I can't overclock it.

Excellent adapter, works as advertised
Pros: Unlike most other PS/2-USB adapters I've tried, this one works perfectly with my IBM Model M keyboard (pt. #82G23H3, manuf. 1994). They draw between 10 to 100 times more power than a typical 'board, so if the Model M works with this adapter it stands to reason that just about any PS/2 device will as well. It hasn't locked up on me thus far in about a week of consistent use, and there are no repeating key or keycode glitches of any kind. Tested under Ubuntu 8.10. I don't know how well the mouse port functions as I don't have a PS/2 mouse to hook up to it.
Cons: None so far.

Generally plug n play w/o issues
Pros: As title says: it generally works very well, plug and play, then forget. Cheap enough.
Cons: Gives some issues on some uncommon OSes, during OS installs, and (rarely) randomly under Windows.
Other Thoughts: Better than buying a new USB keyboard/mouse set if your PS/2 set gets you by.

Mine was defective - continually reset itself
Pros: Small, compact adapter. Integrated USB controller that simulates generic HID device - making it compatible with (nearly) every operating system and computer. Green LED on adapter lets you know that it is plugged in.
Cons: When I plug the adapter into my OS X notebook, it works about about five seconds or so before stopping. The light on the adapter remains lit but no keystrokes are passed through. The system log shows that the USB device is disconnecting itself (even though it is still physically connected). I've tried other USB ports on the same machine, and even tried the adapter on a Windows PC, and with a different keyboard--all to no avail. Mfr website has no telephone contact. RMA was recently requested.
Other Thoughts: I purchased a SABRENT USB to PS/2 adapter as part of a larger order. It raised my shipping costs for some reason and I got downgraded from 3day to regular ground.

Works great
Pros: Works great
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Bought this to go with ASUS M3A78-EM AM2+ MB as board has only 1 PS2. Have switchbox with other server and all use PS2. It works great but you must connect both mouse and keyboard to it for it to work. It would not work with only one connected.

Avoid like the plague
Pros: Allows you to plug PS/2 mouse and keyboard into a USB port, which is necessary for most newer brand-name and notebook systems.
Cons: Poor design. I purchased two of these, and both are defective (though in different ways).
First adapter -- when using the arrow keys (the ones beneath the home/end block, not the number pad), the adapter would randomly insert the key-down scan code for the keypad number associated with the pressed key (for example, if I hit the "up" key, it would insert the "8" key-down scan code). As if this wasn't bad enough, it only inserted the key-down scan code, not the key-up code, so the computer thought someone was holding the key down, and it would keep repeating the key until I hit another key. Other times, it would fail to send the key-up scan code when I typed a letter, causing the computer to think the key was being held down, repeating the key until I hit another key.
Second adapter -- randomly resets the keyboard. You go to type, and you see the LEDs blink, and the first 1-2 seconds of typing are lost.
Other Thoughts: For what it's worth, Windows XP reports this adapter as drawing 100mA, and my keyboard is an Ortek/Adesso model EKB-2000TP.

Older KVM support questionable
Pros: Very small and compact, no drivers needed
Cons: Didn't work with my KVM
Other Thoughts: I purchased this item after reading the many reviews about it working so well with KVM switches. I don't doubt that it does work for many others who use KVMs...but for me, it just outright refused to work with my particular KVM. If I use it without the KVM, it works just fine. But, unfortunately, my setup requires me to use a KVM. Because of that fact, this adapter is useless to me.
I will admit though that my KVM is quite old, maybe 10-15 years old, and thus isn't quite as featured and capable as newer KVMs. This could partially explain the incompatibility, and thus it is impossible for me to place full blame on this adapter. However, I will also say that I have used other USB to PS/2 adapters that DID work with my KVM (Although they too weren't 100% perfect).
Thus, if you use an older KVM, be aware that this adapter may not work for you, and you may have to actually "play around" with several different adapters until you find one that does work (Or you could just get a new KVM)

For ASUS eee
Pros: Cheap and quality. Always recognizer keystrokes and never petters out on you.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Perfect for taking an old ps/2 keyboard and plugging the USB end into an Asus EEE for writing papers in Open Office.

Works great!
Pros: I use this everyday and it works just fine. I'm a (fast) touch typist at 100 words/min and I've had problems with two of the other adapters I've tried dropping characters when i type quickly (perhaps because i have multiple keys depressed at the same time, which happens when you type quickly).
I've been using it for over 2 years now without problems.
Cons: It's a bit ugly, but less bulky then some of the other adapters.
Other Thoughts: I thought I wrote a review about this two years ago after I discovered that 2 of the 3 adapters I bought were not satisfactory, but I don't see it now. So I'm writing this now.

Annoying, but tolerable.
Pros: Plug-and-play. Nothing to configure.
Cons: Every now and then it seems to fall asleep. When you start typing it will ignore the first few keys that you hit. Then it wakes up and starts to behave properly. But the initial keystrokes are gone. If there's a more reliable converter available then I would recommend paying a few more bucks to get it. This problem occurs a couple of times per hour and it's slightly annoying, but tolerable.

Not electrically sound
Pros: The price is right, and it works, at least at first.
Cons: For me, it stopped working after about a week. After I traced down the source of the problem, I found a whole slew of messages like this: "hub 1-0:1.0: over-current change on port 2"
Other Thoughts: Maybe I was just unlucky (time will tell, as I bought three of these), but if I were to buy again I would try a different brand, maybe spend a bit more.

works with IOGear KVM
Pros: Converts my Microsoft PS/2 keyboard to USB though a KVM no problem, the extra buttons on the keyboard still work fine.
Cons: Light on USB connector may be bright for some if it's in a bedroom. I hid it behind something, so I don't see it.
Other Thoughts: I needed a converter for my keyboard since I didn't want to invest in a KVM that had both USB and PS/2 ports, and didn't want to switch my USB mouse to PS/2. I use it though my IOGear 2 port USB KVM no problems.

Works great with KVM
Pros: Got a new PC with no PS/2 ports, but I'm using a Belkin KVM switch that doesn't have USB ports... So rather than having to buy a new KVM switch, I bought this adapter cable. Works great, I'm writing and clicking with it right now.
Cons: None so far

Good converter for the price
Pros: Gets the job done. Cheap and effective. Not an obtrusive device and easily (obviously) installed.
Cons: Item tends to glitch with the current keyboard (server applications). Shift key, caps key, etc. are 'stuck' occasionally. Disconnecting and reconnecting the device resolves the problem. Only happens once in a blue moon.
Other Thoughts: Great item for the price.

working with KVM
Pros: I've tested many other product, but it's the only one which is working in my KVM so far.
Cons: Need to install 5 to 6 USB device drivers just after plugged in. And it looks not some minor issue with Windows 2000 server..

Good, but slow and flimsy
Pros: Cheap, and it does its job.
Cons: You cannot really complain with the price, but there are some problems I've experienced. 1. The construction is quite flimsy. It may be broken easily when it is stumbled. 2. Somehow the key response is quite slow for my case. Maybe, it is just for me, but I can feel some delay of the key response. I type quite fast for coding, and the delay is somewhat annoying.

Works Great w/ KVMs
Pros: I have been using these adapters at my company for almost a year now. We have a variety of Dells, HPs, and Lenovo machines along with a a large mix of stand alone and enterprise (64x16) PS/2 KVM switches. (Belkin, Black Box mostly). Have had no problem with using them to adapt our newer machines (Dell 740) that have no PS/2 hookups. No major issues.
Cons: none.
Other Thoughts: Initial use sometimes requires USB HID discovery on older machines w/ 2K OS. After that runs great. Also some older Dell (cheap) PS/2 mice don't like them. All the new optical ones do. Also, don't expect a laptop to power a stand-alone KVM switch.

usb to ps/2 adapter review
Pros: Worked with my Sun Blade 2000 directly connected to keyboard and mouse and through a kvm. Worked with my PowerMac G4 connected directly to keyboard and mouse. The keyboard worked on my HP Visualize J5600.
Cheap
Cons: The mouse didn't work with my HP Visualize J5600. Only the mouse worked on my Powermac G4 when connected through kvm.
Other Thoughts: I had low expectations for this adapter because of it price. It surprised me when it worked with the sb2000.
I tried it with my PowerMac G4 and only the mouse worked when connected to a kvm. I thought my kvm was to blame because it worked with my sb2000, so i connected the kb/m directly to the adapter and they both worked. They kvm i use on those computers is an old belkin f1d104-osd. I had the buy a special adapter from belkin (F5U119, more $$$ surprise)for it to work through that kvm. Again, if you connect the adapter to your g4 and then the kb/m it will work :).
The opposite thing happened with my J5600, only the keyboard worked. For both the keyboard and mouse to work i had to get part number A7782A from HP.
I had problems with my kvm's and weird unix machine not with these adapters.

Works great for me.
Pros: Works great. Newegg is fast as always.
Cons: Very minor: every several minutes the keyboard LEDs flash and you get no input for a (short) split-second. If you're a heavy gamer this might have some effect, but for an average user you probably won't even notice it. In fact the delay is so short that I can usually type normally without any break in rhythm.
Other Thoughts: Haven't tested with a KVM switch or a PS/2 mouse.

As good as promised
Pros: I bought this to connect a bar code wand to my computers. Both my Mac and my PC accepted the cable and the wand with no issues. This is a great product to have around when you need to retro fit older, non-USB devices. It just works!
Cons: I should have bought two.

GREAT
Pros: The device itself works like a charm windows and linux both work with this right out of the box. its small not taking up alot of space and great for a laptop without a ps2 slot of both a keyboard and a mouse.
Cons: it resets from time to time but its not really noticable but sometimes when gaming online and it resets that split second can cost you a few hits. other then that its great and a must for laptop owners.
Other Thoughts: ITS WORTH IT

Works great with Model M!
Pros: This is a great product for connecting old keyboards such as a Model M to newer hardware. I am typing from an older Model M hooked up to a newer Dell laptop, and it is working perfectly. There are no problems with power or anything, as the hardware to convert everything is built into the usb connector. Great price, too! I'm glad I purchased it.
Cons: None whatsoever.

Worked like a champ on PC's and Server's
Pros: It promised to work with a broad range of computers, and it did. I had no problems.
Cons: I should have ordered more, I am ordering 10 more today.
Other Thoughts: I used this with a Belkin KVM unit, a BlackBox KVM, and a Tripplite RackMount KVM unit. The workstations were HP's, and Dell's, and the servers were 2 models of Dell, and 1 HP(Proliant DL360 G5).

Does what it's supposed to
Pros: Does it's job
Cons: Have wireless keybpoard and mouse. Reciever is usb and PS connection :(. Have an adaptor for the USB from reciever wired to a USB to PS attachment (following so far? lol) keyboard wasn't recgonized when using adapter to plug into Sabarent, so just used the USB str8 in. Other than that this is just fine.

works just fine
Pros: It works without problems
Cons: none yet discovered
Other Thoughts: don't know if it pertains to this product or if it's the OS, but when I start and a prompt asks me to choose between Windows or Mac OS, I can't move the mouse anywhere but up and down. The keyboard on the other hand works fine. I either have to use the mouse on the laptop pad or switch between the two with the keyboard.

Best PS/2 <> USB Adapter So Far
Pros: I own a variety of computers, and have tried to connect them to a variety of KVMs. I have used Avocent KVMs, Cybex KVMs, and NTI KVMs. I have an SGI UNIX Workstation, Some older Apples, Some newer Apples, and some whitebox Intel PCs. With the different KVMs I've used, all of them connect most easily to the machines via PS/2. Wherever possible, in order to maintain hot-swapability, I prefer to use USB for keyboard and mouse. Thus the PS2 <> USB adapter. These Sabrent adapters are the only ones that have 'played well' with the variety of different KVMs and USB-capable computers that I have tried. Most other adapters fail somewhere - translation of the Mac keyboard to PC keyboard for the KVM, they lose the scroll wheel, or only work with wintel boxes and not Macs. The list of possible issues is pretty large, and these adapters just seem to work right.
Cons: They aren't free?
Other Thoughts: I'm not saying that they are actually perfect. I don't know. But they work for me, and I have a pretty diverse setup at home. They are cheap enough that you can buy one, and if you it works for you, buy a bunch more.

So far so good
Pros: Works well, does what its supposed to do. Good price, too.
Cons: None, so far.
Other Thoughts: We have a KVM at work that was becoming more and more useless, as it only had PS2 connectors, and many new computers these days (especially Dell) don't even have PS2 - only USB. This allows our KVM to work with the PCs with PS2-lacking motherboards.

Just like it should..
Pros: Cable worked just as it should.. Plugged into my back side USB port.. No problems and keyboard was recognized at startup. Very easy fix and a pretty good price considering that i was about to buy a $30 one with only one PS2 outlet.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Cable length is perfect.. It's not very noticeable so it doesn't take a lot of space. Plugged my keyboard to both outlets - no problems noticed.
Worth every penny.

Good but not perfect
Pros: Cheap, Less bulky then 'wart on the wire' style, works on every computer I have tried to date, works on every OS I have tried (ms, linux, bsd, etc)
Cons: If the keyboard or mouse takes a lot of power (like the old IBM buckling spring keyboards do), it can cause this device to self-reset every few minutes, causing the keyboard to stop taking input long enough to re-initialize.
Other Thoughts: If I didn't love buckling spring keyboards so much, I would never have found out the achille's heel of this device. Be wary of it if you like keyboards that use a lot of power, otherwise, this is a great device!
I still have it for working on computers, but using it for gaming is too frustrating for it to be used on my main PC.

Does a great job
Pros: Works as required at low cost
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I had 3 servers with PS2-style keyboard & mouse. I wanted to add an old notebook (with a cracked display) as a 4th on an existing PS2-style KVM switch, but notebook only supported USB. For a short time I was stupidly thinking I needed to upgrade to a fancier KVM ... but dah! The $6 wonder worked like a charm and let me reuse the existing KVM.

Be careful of this one
Pros: Nice cord length
Cons: I work in an IT environment and wanted to use these with an 8 port KVM and various Dell computers. I often need to use the F2 or F12 keys during the post. These WILL NOT interrupt the post to access the bios setup or alt. boot menu. This problem vanished with the use of on hand Tripp-Lite cables and ultimatly the Trendnet TU-PS2 cables we ordered to replace the Sabrent cables.
Other Thoughts: As these were worthless in a working environment I called for a refund. Newegg was great, refunded my money and told me to throw the Sabrent cables into the trash which is where they belonged.

works
Pros: Two out of two work fine. Mouse and keyboard work plugged into either jack; even two mice at once. Green LED in the black housing when on. Penguin friendly.
Cons: A really old mouse did not work on it (old as in 1996): it moved and right clicked, but no left click. The mouse does work in a computer directly. Plastic packaging not recyclable.
Other Thoughts: I compared all PS/2 USB adapters on Newegg, and chose this because it was rated highest. I bought two, and both worked on more than one computer. I consider this a safe buy.

Works Great, never had a problem with it
Pros: Purchased originally for use with Macs but works great on every system I've used it on, Mac and PC, and it's almost always used with my PS/2 KVM.
Makes my PS/2 devices on KVM hot swappable with a brief delay.
Cons: none so far
Other Thoughts: very convenient adapter to have, I am purchasing another so I can keep one in my travel parts bag and can leave one at home on the KVM

Pros: Works
Cons: If I remember correctly, plug in your PS2 devices and then plug it into USB. Worked for me.
Other Thoughts: Haven't tried with a KVM (that I recall)

Cons: didn't work the first 10 sec i plug in

Should have worked with KVM
Pros: Low cost. Can connect wireless PS/2 KB and mouse to my laptop using just 1 USB port.
Cons: Does not work with StarTech SV411KT 4 Port KVM switch that I bought with it. Not sure about other KVMs.
Other Thoughts: It should have worked with that KVM switch. Another adpater did. I have put this in my adpater bin to be used another day.

Great Product!
Pros: I messed with my computers ps/2 port way too many times, and none of my four keyboards would fit in my PS/2 port. I borrowed one of these switches from my dad until I got this in the mail. Got it in TWO DAYS!
Installed it, worked perfect with my 2-switch KVM (Keyboard Video Mouse) switch. Even more, it works with my mouse (It's a USB mouse, that has a PS/2 switch; I put it on so I could use my KVM switch). My old PS/2-USB converter didn't even work with that! (I had to switch the mouse between my Linux & Windows machine).
Cons: It's from Newegg, do you expect me to write anything here?
Other Thoughts: Great Product, fast shipping, <3 newegg!

Does what it should...
Pros: It works. You plug in your PS2 keyboard and plug the unit into the USB and it functionally gives you a USB keyboard.
Cons: The mouse component is completely worthless. It works, but has no real practical applications as those mice are going extinct.
Other Thoughts: I bought 8 for price sake.

Does what its supposed to
Pros: Does exactly what its supposed to do, allow you to hook up a PS/2 mouse and PS/2 keyboard to a computer via one USB port. I needed this so I could hook up a keyboard and mouse to my Q1 UMPC. Plug and Play, no issues.
Cons: None

Pros: Good price, worked very well on a newer Dell. The person using the Dell didn't like the new USB keyboard and wanted her old mouse and kayboard, this was a simple, easy fix.
Cons: none

Great little adapter
Pros: Great little product. I've bought about 15 in the last year for my company and have used them on all types of laptops without a bit of trouble, even on a Mac Mini.
Cons: none I can think of

Great job - I'm happy!
Pros: I just got this converter but I wanted to test it out immediately for my unique application. I wanted to see if I could actually use two keyboards with this little converter and it worked like a champ. I was afraid that it would somehow recognize only a mouse on the green colored female plug. But the computer picked up both keyboards like nobody's business.
Cons: None that I can detect. Haven't put it through an elaborate shakedown, however.
Other Thoughts: It might seem like I have an odd requirement, but I want to attach a bunch of old PS/2 keyboards to one computer so school students can punch in responses to game show software. The alternative is to buy special game show USB buzzers, which essentially are single-key keyboards and cost many times as much for a single unit. This converter approach gives me a lot of flexibility AND a huge savings. After all, PS/2 keyboards are cheap, plus they're lying around unused everywhere.

Vista Doesn't Like It
Pros: It obviously works, because the wireless keyboard that is connected to works before Vista actually boots.
Cons: Once Vista boots up, it wants drivers, and there are none. The keyboard and mouse no longer work.
Other Thoughts: Vista has given me several annoying issues like this one.

Pros: No drivers req'd, pretty much does what it is supposed to do.
Cons: Required a reboot to get the mouse to work (keyboard worked right away), which may matter if you're hooking into a live production server.
Occasionally loses ability to switch screens using keyboard shortcut on my KVM.
Other Thoughts: I have a cheap 2-port TRENDnet KVM hooked up to the adapter and it occasionally loses the ability to switch screens via the keyboard shortcut since adding the adapter. I can still use the manual button to switch and once I do that the keyboard shortcut is restored.
Also having to reboot to get the mouse worked sucked. But that was only the initial install and it has been fine since.
Overall it's a pretty decent piece of hardware.

Not a perfect solution
Pros: Great way to connect old-school kbd & mouse via USB.
Cons: Occasional (a few times over ~8 hours) hiccups: num/caps/scroll lock lights flash; mouse cursor moves when mouse is stationary (but returns to normal once you move the mouse)
Other Thoughts: Great temporary fix, but not a permanent solution
