excellent
Pros: i've loved this board. 2.4 duo-core, 8600gt, corsair 2gb ram etc. works very well. placement of things on the board works for me, haven't had any cramped areas (though i don't use the IDEs so who knows.)
Cons: the overclocking controls are a little tricky to use. (took a bit of work to get ram oc'd to 1066) and only one pci-ex16 could be a problem (thought sli was stupid then i bought crysis....)
Other Thoughts: if i had thought i would use sli i'd have bought one with 2 pci-ex16 slots, but aside that everything else works great. audio is great, vista-32 drivers are perfect

Great Value
Pros: Great features for the price. I bought this board to replace a GA-965P-DS3 that had problems.(see other thoughts) Compared to the 965P, this board has more rear USB ports, more SATA ports, more fan headers, and overclocks just as well, if not better. (haven't had much time to really push it yet)
Cons: If the positions of the IDE and floppy drive connectors were reversed, this board would be perfect.
Other Thoughts: I really liked the 965P, but it started acting up when I added a tower CPU cooler with a back plate mounting system. (Noctua NH-U12P) Unfortunately, the 965P has too many pins protruding from the reverse side of the board that can short out if your cooler uses a back plate. The P35 still has some solder joints in that area, but they are lower and smoother with no pins protruding through the solder. Just to be safe, I still put some electrical tape on the side of the back plate that touches the motherboard and all is well so far.

Works well
Pros: No problems installing it. Works pretty well with Vista. Sleep mode has no problems waking up over and over. 8 USB ports in the back and two in the front are real nice. The manual is relatively clearly written. All SATA ports are AHCI/RAID.
Cons: None I could find yet.
Other Thoughts: Remember to set the IDE drivers to AHCI if you want the modern SATA features and have a driver floppy or stick ready.

awesome board
Pros: Great board for the money. Has everything you would need in a board. This is the second one I have bought. The first one was mine and the second one for my son. Both ahve been awesome and I like that they are flexible enough to take the new 45nm Wolfdale processor and can overclock easily. Great board.
Cons: None so far on either mine (9 months old) or my sons (1 month).

Update
Pros: I initially wrote a very positive review about this motherboard. I even included the RAM modules I got for it so that others would not have a problem finding reliable RAM. I really like this board, but I will never buy another Gigabyte product again, nor will I ever recommend Gigabyte to anyone else.
Cons: Unfortunately, I flashed the BIOS on this board a week ago and the board died. I do not overclock. I build high end systems for photographers and graphic designers. They need all the RAM they can get and I use Windows XP Pro 64 bit so that they will be able to take advantage of the RAM. Dealing with Gigabyte technical support has been terrible. The initial tech I spoke did not know you could enter Q-Flash by pressing the END key as written on page 68, section 4-2-1 of the motherboard manual. He determined that by following their instructions I had somehow caused the BIOS flash to fail. Mind you, I had already done this once before when I first got the board.
Other Thoughts: I finally did get an RMA number and they are supposedly fixing the board. In this process I have spoken to 7 people from Gigabyte. I can tell you that with the exception of the gentleman who got me the RMA number, I have found them all to be lacking in the very basics of customer service.

Great Linux Server Board
Pros: Everything "just worked" when I built a system with Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 Server, including built in NIC. Used two identical SATA hard drives for software RAID 1 and one SATA optical drive. It has been running stable for over three months without rebooting in a closet with only network and power cords plugged in.
Cons: I can't recall anything negative about this board yet.

Great mobo
Pros: Bolted it in, never removed any of the AMD drivers or VIA chipset drivers on the old windows copy. It booted right up and after a reboot...it runs great...No blue screen of death
Cons: could have installed itself?
Other Thoughts: thanks Newegg!! great service as always

Decent but could be better
Pros: 4 SATA II ports, 3 PCI Express X 1 Ports It worked out of the box.
Cons: Realtek onboard NIC is pathetic or at least mine was flakey. Change it out with a nice PCI-Express NIC as soon as you can.

Extremely satisfied
Pros: The BIOS is very easy to navigate, and overclocking is a walk in the park. It has all the ports I could ask for on my budget, and it recognized everything that was connected without a single issue. The digital sound outputs are always great to have, especially with a set of Logitech Z-5500s =D
Cons: None that I can think of.
Other Thoughts: Mine is a revision 2.1, if anyone is interested. My first build was depending on this board, and fortunately for me it works flawlessly.

Worked great for awhile
Pros: When it was works properly, it was great, OC'd nicely, ran fine
Cons: When it stops working properly, as many have learned, it's pretty much junk. The board still works, but it dumps down to 900MHz on reboots for no reason, and that's when it reboots at all. Usually it will reset the system 3-4 times, trying to boot, then either fail or finally boot up at 900Mhz, at which point I have to set it back to 3GHz for my e8400 in the bios and hope that when it reboots again, it will be at 3GHz like it should.
Other Thoughts: Maybe stupidly hoping that I'll have better luck with it, I picked up the GA-ER35C-DS3R today at a local shop. I'm still debating over whether to take it out of the box or to take it back and get the Asus P5K instead, which is like $20 cheaper. I'm going to RMA the current board and then auction it off online regardless, but I can't wait the 1-2 month turnaround time that I'm hearing Gigabyte puts you through to get a different, possibly refurbished, and possibly also defective, board.

Excellent Board, but......
Pros: Small, spacious design. No jungle of heatpipes and massive chipset coolers to get in the way. Overclocks like a dream, very stable. Plenty of room between CPU and RAM for a large aftermarket cooler. Voltages are surprizingly stable, not much vDroop.
Cons: Needed a BIOS flash right out of the box to make my keyboard work in Vista (LOL). 24pin power connector is loose on board, causes machine to get stuck in a reboot cycle after POST and loses BIOS settings (very annoying). Not much in the box, but that's what you get with a mainstream "business class" board. Memory ratio's are kinda wierd in the BIOS, took a few mins to understand what it was doing. NB cooler uses thermal tape that sucks and comes unstuck when installing CPU HSF. It eventually sticks back together, but leaves me with an uncomfortable unknowing feeling that it's not seated properly and going to overheat eventually. IDE port is in a bad location, if used the cable covers the SATA ports making it hard to access. Clear CMOS jumper is in a REALLY bad spot right next to PCIe 16x slot, need to remove vid card to access it. Easily fixed with a 2pin connector wired to a momentary push button switch that I mounted on the back of my case. An overclockers must.
Other Thoughts: Price-to-Performance wise this board rocks. If you can look past the little things that are annoying about this board it's a board that can't be beat. I'll be RMA'ing mine for the bad 24pin connector, but will definately stick with this board.

good board
Pros: fast, stable, 8 sata ports, 8 usbs built in, worked flawlessly straight out of the box with my e8400
Cons: northbridge heatsink retaining pins scare me, the HS isn't very tightly attatched. mine wasn't broken though.
Other Thoughts: my northbridge runs warmer than my cpu.
I got rev 2.1

bent pins
Pros: Lots of Sata ports.
Cons: few bent pins, bad ide placement(Woudnt have used it anyways). No PCIe 2.0 support
Other Thoughts: I am sure this is a great board but I am going to go with something different this time around.

the good, the bad, the ugly
Pros: The good:
-48 hours of orthos w/ -N82E16819115031 E4500 (M0) @2.8Ghz (350FSBx8) stock vcore ~30c idle 51c load stock fan, but replaced stock paste for Art.S. 5
Took a gamble with the ram and got lucky; -N82E16820144216 Geil 2x2Gb DDR2PC6400 @5-5-5-4-13 Perf.Level5 450x2 for 1050Mhz 2:3 ratio +1 (2.0v) voltage, Everest mem benchmark R80940,W6790,C6943,L60 nice! :) -1400Mhz NorthBridge FSB ~40c to 50c -Use headers from old MB for 12 USB ports :) -Board is smaller than most which allows more space in cramped cases. -Plenty of room around CPU area for large heatsinks. -Quality capacitors and voltage regulation components. (They are low profile also) -COM and LPT ports are gone pin headers on the M/B . (borrow a header from any pre-ATX PC.Plenty at dump, goodwill store or local comp. store) -Dual BIOS chips, built in flash util in BIOS, can flash from USB stick :) -Automatically defaults to default values if bad overclock. -Can load/save multiple BIOS settings profil
Cons: The Bad: -If AHCI or RAID enabled for ICH9R must wait ~10 secs at each boot for HDD enumeration. -AHCI is kinda hit or miss, didn't really work for me, the built in GB cont.has issues. Would not trust my data on that. -Every restart causes 1-2 second loss of power to all fans & Hdd annoying causing too many unnecessary resets to hardrives. Spec. annoying when testing BIOS settings and multiple cycles. -Need to use latest Realtek HD audio or those on GB site or audio breaks. The UGLY is below;
Other Thoughts: The Ugly: WON'T BOOT 90% of the times when ext. USB HDD is plugged in ANY USB port. Will reach POST and freeze at memory count, then reboot and start over in an endless loop. NO GO with my ext. WD HDD, had to rip it out of the case and mount it inside :( I discovered the placing of the IDE connector sucks, too low on the board. Everytime this happens BIOS is set back to defaults. (at least you can reload back in a saved profile) -Plugged in a USB MP3 player and got a blue screen, mem post hung again on restart , boot loops and BIOS back to defaults. I think MP3 players and ext. USB HDD's are the cause of most of the endless reboot complaints out on the web. (hint google 'p35 ipod' or 'gigabyte p35 reboot')
All said, once I figured out the ext. USB harddrive and MP3 player thing, all works as expected.

E8400 compatible out of box
Pros: Works great, has raid, works with my E8400 out of box, works with the ram I bought after ignoring the verified support list. Great OC features, easy to use bios. Esata bracket is a plus.
Cons: no firewire but i don't need it anyways, 8 USB is alot but not a con, 10 if you include the front.
Other Thoughts: THIS BOARD DOES WORK WITH 45nm CPUs. The one I got was rev 2.1.

Good MB
Pros: Good motherboard, easy install, everything works. Rock solid stable.
Cons: Northbridge was free floating in the box, pushpins had sheared. I luckily had some spares or this would have been an RMA.
Other Thoughts: Revision 2.0. Wish newegg would specify which version it was shipping. No biggie, just an observation. Extremely fast shipping! Still battling w/raid setup.

Great! But warning!
Pros: Solid running board. Super fast running 2 drives striped, 2 drives mirrored, plus one more. Windows XP shows 3.5 gigs of RAM from my four gigs installed. Most other boards I've used (asus, HP) only show 3.25 to 3.0. It's a keeper for me. I had an Asus P5K that was questionable on reboot with a far less complicated set-up.
Cons: WARNING! DO NOT plug a SATA DVD DRIVE into the Gigabyte SATA ports. Only plug it in one of the six ICH9R ports. System performance goes to it's knees. Even a PS mouse will freeze during drive access - forget about loading CD burning software. PLUG the SATA burner in ICH9R and all is well! One more bummer - Speedfan will not control the onboard fan ports. The internal controls DO control CPU and both of the system fans, but ONLY if the CPU has a four pin fan.
Other Thoughts: The board is not full size DEPTH. You can only mount it with six screws. This means the board can bend while inserting RAM. Be careful. This does give you some more room for drives, particularly in a smaller case, however the RAM is closer to the CPU than some other boards, so some of the really big CPU coolers may not fit!

Great OCer, but...
Pros: The easiest and most accepting board for overclockers. Got my Q6600 up to 3.6GHz. Also my memory was boosted from 1066 to 1100 after some modifying.
Cons: Only 1 PCIe 16 slot. Also, I am sad to report that this board didn't last more than 1 month. I did get a new one and have had no problems with it. Also, I had some trouble with my RAID configuration. I had to use the Intel one, not the onboard one from Gigabyte.

Sweeet 8400 Build
Pros: Sweeet build : Price, bios, usb, esata, sata, no SLI, ultra durable, Stability, Ver. 2.1 Quality board & Features @ this price; these are all good positive things !!
Cons: People crying over 1 IDE or it won't this or that.. For Cry'n-out-loud read , research, & buy the right product.. Always try to install your CPU & Cooler outside the case on a flat anti-static surface & wear grounding wrist strap..
Other Thoughts: Freezer Pro 7, E-8400, GSkill 4gig Pc2-8000, Vista 64, HS520 Watt Corsair P/S

One of few motherboards with onboard RS232 COM and IEEE1284 parallel!
Pros: I do hardware engineering/prototyping (mostly FPGA stuff), so I like the onboard RS232 (COM) and IEEE1284 (LPT) ports. It's hard to find those on modern PC motherboards. Well, I like the IEEE1284 port because Xilinx believes in overcharging for their USB Programming Cable. (The older Parallel Cable III/IV shows up often on auction.) But I guess that's a story for another day...
Down with USB2 high-speed...Nothing beats the rapid transfer of a RS232 link @ 115.2 Kbps (that's an astounding 11.5 Kbytes/sec, folks!)
Cons: The onboard RS232 and IEEE1284 are 'pin-headers'. You need to buy the DB9M breakout and DB25F separately, they're not included! (Warning -- there are 2 styles of 10-pin DB9M. Make sure you get an 'asus/everex' style, and not the Intel/DTK!)
The bootup time is a bit longer than the ASUS P35 boards, due to the AHCI-scanner. (The Gigabyte BIOS takes a few seconds longer to scan the ICH9R's SATA ports.)
Other Thoughts: Rev 1.x of the P35-DS3R and P35-DS3P had real onboard RS232 and IEEE1284 ports (on the backpanel.) Rev 2.0 replaces the backpanel RS232/IEEE1284 ports with more useless USB2 ports. Why anyone would want 2 additional USB2 480Mbps ports when they can have true legacy RS232/IEEE1284, is beyond my understanding.
No one stocks new 1.x boards anymore, but if you want to buy refurbished...

BEWARE SATA CONTROLLER
Pros: Died quickly.
Cons: The onboard SATA controller is rather pathetic. My software RAID10 array went from brand new to completely corrupted and unrecoverable in UNDER 2 WEEKS!
Other Thoughts: If you plan on using any type of RAID storage, buy an expansion card, don't use the fickle onboard controller.

Good Board
Pros: Great board, decent features, a little bit of everything that an average person needs. So far the games have ran flawslessly at full Graphics. BTW, the board I got was also Rev 1.0.
Cons: Drivers are a bit tricky. Beware of using drivers from Microsoft, I let it use an update for the network card and it killed the card. ALso, had some trouble adding the sound drivers. I installed the updates from Gigabyte instead of what was on the disk. Not all the drivers installed including the HD. I installed my ATI video drivers (ATI FireGL V3600) first before the sound card, that was a not smart. Also, after getting the sound drivers installed was still left with the HD drivers not working, installed ATI drivers for card, the driver works, but I don't know about the HD sound yet.
Other Thoughts: I'm not what to make it out to be, but started noticing that MS updates don't like to install once I loaded all the drivers. Thought it was a fluke and re-installed windows again, and started seeing similar behavior.
Got lucky on the install everything went perfectly (Hardware side of things), actually surprised that worked the first time through since this was entirely new system build.

Ouch!
Pros: Lots of SATA & USB decent price. Manual pretty good overall.
Cons: 1st one was DOA. NB heatsink came loose during shipping and took out several capacitors. About a dozen little peices were loose in the bag. Newegg, of course, took care of it without a hassle and sent me a replacement the next day.
No firewire
Other Thoughts: Factoryn needs to package these things better. Give some support to those heavy heatsinks!

Very Good
Pros: For a mid-range mobo, it is great for overclocking. I was able to push the FSB from 1333 MHz to 1800 Mhz, and I overclock conservatively for stability.
Cons: Setting up a RAID 0 was a pain, and the user manual didn't help.
Other Thoughts: Has a fairly fast RAID, once you set it up.

Old Version doesn't match description
Pros: Decent price, # SATA ports, RAID support. USB BIOS flash is awesome and easy. Supports my brand new 45nm CPU (E8400).
Cons: Description of board on Newegg (8 rear USB ports, etc) matches the newer versions of this board 2.0, 2.1. I received the 1.0 version which only has 4 rear ports. After installing it anyway, I found the southbridge gets quite hot (I turned it off at 60C) without a fan blowing on it. I sent it back and bought the newer GA-EP35-DS3R locally.
Other Thoughts: The southbridge on the GA-EP35-DS3R similarly seems warm. I never let it go to see how hot it will get, I just added a fan circulating air inside the case across it.

Nice Board
Pros: Great board. I recieved rev. 2.1. worked out of the box with my E8400. Plenty of USB ports(8!) in the rear, and plenty of cables to connect componets.
Cons: I haven't found any yet.
Other Thoughts: E8400, 2x1GB Crucial Ballistix (DDR2 800), Gigabyte 8800GT

Good, but could have been better...
Pros: Hands down one of the best bang for buck P35 based mobos currently on the market regardless of revision.
Cons: I got the discontinued 1.0 version of the board even though I ordered it on 2/1/08. I would have given the board a 5, but since I got a 1.0, this means no dynamic energy saver, no official 1600fsb support (though the P35 chipset should be able to handle that anyway...the major problem would be for future 1600fsb cpu compatibility), and less USB ports than the 2.0 and 2.1 due to still having serial and parallel ports.
Other Thoughts: This was the final piece for an upgrade I've been working on since last summer and I'm slightly disappointed that I got a discontinued version of this board when a friend of mine got a 2.0 a week before I ordered mine. However, performance differences between the 1.0, 2.0, and 2.1 are pretty much negligible, and this board is a world of difference over my ASRock 4CoreDUAL-VSTA, so I still have reason to be happy. I was just really hoping to get a 2.1 for its slightly wider feature array and futureproofness.

Stability & Performance
Pros: Haven't really played around with all its features yet, but so far its been great. Solid as a rock with no hiccups at all. I love the automatic BIOS feature that returns the BIOS settings to their default values if an overclock doesn't work out. Its ability to flash the BIOS via USB is excellent and convenient as well.
Cons: Apparently the Firewire header was removed with rev. 2.1. This was somewhat annoying since my case has a front panel Firewire port I wanted to use. If they wanted to make space, they should've gotten rid of the Com and Parallel port headers instead.
Other Thoughts: I chose this over the DS3L because I wanted more SATA ports. It lacks a built-in eSATA port, but they make up for this by providing a backpanel bracket, though the drawback of this is that you have to use two of your internal SATA ports (though you still have six leftover, thats plenty).

Outstanding!
Pros: Solid overclocker, 2.1 version has 8 usb on rear of board, no issues installing....ctrl f1 is spose to unlock overclock features in bios, board has all the settings a person needs for overclocking.
Cons: Don't like the programs (pro5 tools) that came with mobo for overclocking in windows and monitoring mobo properties, it does work and will adjust most overclock bios settings from windows, but it is glitchy and doesn't always display the correct info on cpu.
Other Thoughts: GA-P35-DS3R
XFX 8600gt xxx
E4500 2.2ghz @ 3.0 "273 X 11" overclocked/ freezer 7 pro keeps it @ 31c and below 50c under heavy load(highest stable 3.3ghz...gave low benchmarks..didn't touch voltages < back to 3.0ghz)
2 X 1Gig ocz 1066 ddr(ram is @ 1089mhz if i remember right)
PSU is 650 watt Cooler master case has 3 120 mm fans keeping things cool, no heat issues here.
Board made this a no brainer and has been the most solid overclocker i have built yet, very pleased with stability and ability of this board.

Solid Board
Pros: Great price, easy to install. Reasonably well written documentation
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I did run into some initial problems setting up the RAID configuration, but once I stopped trying rush through it and actually read the documentation it worked fine

DOA
Pros: Seems like a great board at a great price.
Cons: The Motherboard arrived with the 2 plastic pins on the Northbridge broken and the heatsink sliding around inside. I don't know if it was handled a little harsher by UPS or the pins are a little to flimsy but I have to return it.
Other Thoughts: Still going to get the same board

Havn't run yet
Pros: I just received today ups 1 day ahead of time. Very overclockable, will be able to run my preshott until i can get a c2d or c2q if i have the money. The only reason it is not up and running is that I dont have a video card for it yet.
Cons: No fire wire? but... who uses that?
Other Thoughts: I cant wait until i get a video card and post a more informative review.

Solid and stable
Pros: This was the easiest install I’ve had to date. Worked out of the box with no issues. (Rev: 2.0 MB) Connections are well marked and laid out. A very stable motherboard board
Cons: Its only a con if you need it but doesn't come with a floppy for RAID configuration
Other Thoughts: Newegg supplies links to Mfg. site do your research. System: Win XP, Core 2 Duo E6550 - N82E16819115030, SeaSonic M12 SS-500HM - N82E16817151029, Thermaltake CL-P0372 - N82E16835106087, Kingston ValueRAM 2GB - N82E16820134117, ASUS EN8600GT - N82E16814121097 All drives are SATA

mid-range
Pros: Good onboard stuff [plenty of SATA, audio, USB, RAM tolerance, etc]
Cons: Driver CD corrupted my install twice; only one PCI Express x16; somewhat fruity color scheme [or lack thereof]

Rock-solid Performance
Pros: Dual Intel and Gigabyte RAID controllers that function flawlessly, up-to-date BIOS right out of the box (highly tweakable if you want to go there), clear and well-written manual, nice expansion extras included, great Web site. No firewire (yes, I list that as a positive).
Cons: None. Absolutely none.
Other Thoughts: This is the finest mobo I have ever worked with (three of these to date), it installs and operates exactly as described. If you can read and follow instructions, you are gonna love this one. Never again will I buy from "other" manufacturers, with their multiple hideous BIOS update methods that sometimes work but sometimes do not and leave you scratching your head for days as to the 'why' of it. I am now a committed fan of Gigabyte mobos and video card products, and they are going to have to do a LOT to lose my loyalty.

Solid board, Excellent overclocker!
Pros: Nice features such as e-sata card it came with, tons of sata ports. Also it is an excellent overclocker. Overclocked my q6600 to 3.4 stable with no problem at all.
Cons: nothing
Other Thoughts: This was my first time build and everything went together perfectly. After much researching this was the board I choose.

Running smooth, fussy RAID
Pros: Has 2 options for RAID controlling. Bunch of sata ports. A ton of USB ports. Other than RAID, was the simplest hassle free computer building i've had.
Cons: Raid drivers can be a bit fussy. After setup, like other reviews, Raid detection will add about 10 seconds to boot.
Other Thoughts: RAID SETUP!! when installing windows with this board be ABSOLUTELY SURE to have the Raid controller of your choice enabled before install as well as drivers on a Floppy disk for adding during installation with F6. After doing this for my third windows xp installation it went perfctly fine with no issues or blue screens on the ICH9R controller

Excellent product
Pros: Works flawlessly out of the box, 8 (yes eight) back panel USB ports plus 2 USB board headers, 4 fan headers, SATA ports out the ying yang, lots of PCI slots, excellent OC support. Best of all I dropped in all my hardware and it worked flawlessly on the first boot. More than I can say for ASUS.
Cons: No onboard firewire. Only one IDE channel if that's important to you.
Other Thoughts: I replaced an ASUS P5NE SLI and going from that board to this is like night and day. This board is well supported physically by the mobo standouts where the ASUS was flexing wildly when installing RAM. This board has a SB heat sink. It just looks much more well produced visually. Very solid.

Pros: Excellent board. Supports most of the newest technology. plenty of sata ports, plenty of usb ports. supports ddr2 1066mhz. This MB is a good foundation for a powerhouse system.
Cons: 1 pata. Almost obsolote but i still have a few ide devices. no esata.
Other Thoughts: LOYAL GIGABYTE CUSTOMER SINCE 2000. HAVE OWNED ABOUT 8 MB'S. very reliable! this mb, intel core 2 duo 3.0hgz. 4gb 1066mhz ram. 150 gb raptor

Another great GA board & same great service & price from NewEgg
Pros: Got this board to replace GA P65DS3 because it supports Intel Matrix Raid and it has higher tolerances for overclocking. Setting up Raid 5 before oc'ing saved much time by not having to reset bios or reprogram xp or a corrupted hdd. R5 takes 3 or 4 hdd's of any size. After a BSOD or error message it still reboots and R5 then "verifies & repairs" the corrupt hdd. Nice!! Installed an E6850 with Arc 7 pro and 4gb of Corsair Dom 1066 (xp32bit will recognize only 3.5gb) I spent 15 hrs oc'ing this board. It's 100% stabil for two weeks. In Advanced Bios Features disable : Limit CPUID Max to 3, No-Execute Memory protect, C1E, TM2, Virt..Technology. In MB Intel...Tweaker set cpu clock to 7x, cpu host freq to 500mhz, Performance Enhancer to Turbo, Sys. Memory Multi...to 2, Dram Timing Select to 5-5-5-25. Set DDR2 overvolt to +.6v, cpu volt to 1.425v. using CPU-Z cpu is 3.5ghz, FSB is 2000mhz with memory at 500mhz (1000mhz DDR2) 1:1 Ratio
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: IN SUMMARY: CPU 3.5GHZ, FSB 2000MHZ, VERY SMOOTH, FAST, AND POWERFUL. MIGHT TRY 3.7GHZ BUT FOR NOW WILL BURN THE BOARD IN AT 3.5 HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE.

No Serial/Parallel Port!
Pros: Nice layout, fit a Freezer 7 CPU heat sink. Lots of SATA ports. Lots of additional cables for case connectors (SATA, USB, Audio, etc).
Cons: No serial/parallel ports! I knew to watch out for the cheapos not supported PS/2 so I made sure it had those, but didn't think to look for serial/parallel ports! They do have two headers on the board to connect to a case rear panel board but I can't seem to find any such adapter.
Other Thoughts: Received v2.1 BIOS revision F7. Updated to F11. Originally this board was taking about 60 seconds to get through the BIOS! Turned out my one IDE hard drive was set to Master. Board wanted it to CS, which now boots very fast. Another symptom was Vista would not boot without the CD in the dvd drive. Again related to the Master/CS issue.

board with vista64
Pros: well constructed board I have rev 2.1. it has 6 usb ports on back I made it into a dual boot system with xp pro. bios lets you boot to either OS by pressing f12 at boot, so you don't need a boot manager program like acronis.
Cons: I had a tough time loading vista 64 ultimate, it kept on crashing after 1st reboot. But after flashing bios with latest from gigabyte it solved problem. If you get a gforce 8800 card it covers up one pcix slot. no serial or parallel port but has interfaces on board to add your own.

Solid Board
Pros: - Excellent features for the price - 45nm support - Straightforward overclocking - Excellent documentation and guides - Stable
Cons: - IDE port is located too low on the board making it difficult to install optical drives in the top bay if you have a larger video card
Other Thoughts: I ordered this board originally after several weeks of research and reading. It arrived (rev2.0) and worked for a day before no longer booting (12v processor connector I believe). However, I spoke with NewEgg and without hesitation they provided me with an RMA and had a new board (rev2.1) shortly thereafter. The process was straightforward and hassle-free and that is one of the many reasons I continue to buy from them. I really like this board and believe that for the money, you really can't do any better.

Nice board - Bad specs on New Eggs part
Pros: The mobo rocks, great bios features and stability.
Cons: Only one IDE port New Egg failed to include that fact on the Specs, not the mobo's fault so I had to do some creative stuff to hook up my drives.

Very Good MB
Pros: This is my second Gigabyte motherboard and I am very pleased. I went with this one instead of the Asus because of Gigabyte's Ultra Durable 2 construction. My last Asus board failed due to electrolytics drying out, making it not want to boot up. Board layout is very good leading to a nice clean install. Memory slots are still accessable once the video card is in.
Cons: No fire wire port.
Other Thoughts: System: Intel Allendale Duo Core 2.2Ghz, OCZ Gold ram 2x2GB, Gigabyte GV-RX385512H Radeon HD 3850 512MB video card, PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610 power supply, Seagate 500GB SATA, Pioneer DVD burner, all stuffed into a Thermaltake VD2000BNS case.

Pros: This board is great. Worked straight out of the box was easy to put together, clearly marked and colored connectors and it is a great overclocker. I currently have my Q6600 at 3.0ghz and its rock stable with many hours of testing.
Cons: Doesn't come with a boot floppy for RAID configuration. I have XP, so I don't know if its different with Vista setup, but XP needs a floppy with RAID drivers so you have to make it first on another computer. Since I didn't have another computer, I had to install XP on one hard drive, make the floppy using the given cd, and then reinstall XP using the floppy to create a RAID.
Other Thoughts: The board is great, get it.

Endless reboot
Pros: its a good mobo, lots of connectors etc etc.
Cons: I had this mobo for 1 day then I had the endless reboot problem, pulled out the CMOS battery and it fixed that problem, but I still think its something that just shouldn't happen at all.
Other Thoughts: newegg had some seriously fast shipping

For my basic setp: No issues, fast, easy, compatible.
Pros: Not a single issue during the build, everything as expected, everything works, no hardware compatibility faults. My second build with this board - second excellent review.
Cons: Can't really think of any.
Other Thoughts: My build is pretty vanilla: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R, Intel Core 2 duo E6550, MSI NX-8600GTS T2D256E video, A-Data 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM, Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB 7200 RPM SATA HDD, a pair of Samsung 203-B DVD+/-R drives, an old Seagate 160GB IDE, a Seagate Barracuda 80GB IDE, all shoveled into an Antec Sonata III case.
No overclocking, no customization: I just wired the thing together, set the fan to medium, plugged it in, loaded Windows XP, a new-ish version of MS-Office, and the Orange Box, and now it sits there humming along nicely.
This board went is so quietly I keep waiting for the other show to drop – but everything is fine. No glitches, no burps. Games run fast, apps work. Not a bad deal for a light-duty business machine. Half Life II ran at 45FPS without trying too hard, so it games fine too.
Highly recommended, at least for basic builds like this one.

2 Failed So far
Pros: None
Cons: So far I have had 2 of these boards fail within 10 mins of turn on. This was with replacing Everything (CPU, Video Card, etc
Other Thoughts: Third board and processor on the way. Will I put this together again?? NOT. Its going on that big auction site, brand new with a new processor. I've had enough. NewEgg has been very gracious with supplying me with new boards even though I was a little out off warranty on the return. I know people who have had great luck with this board, but so far NO-GO for me.I'm no rookie either, been building systems for a long time...Never had failures like this.Im gonna find another board

Memory issues
Pros: Highly stable, easy installation, overclocking with this board is very stable. the north bridge heatsink is ginormous
Cons: Real finicky with raid setup, also a weird issue with my sound card; when ever I download an mp3 or .wav file the speakers emit a loud intermitent screech that continuously repeats every couple of seconds
Other Thoughts: I just bought 4GB of partiot 800 mhz ddr2. And for some reason the system reads it as 533mhz, Overvolting the memory by .2v brought it up to 640mhz. Though I was able to set the latencies super aggresive at that low of a frequency: 4-4-4-8, the multipier cant go any higher than 4:3 so Im gonna replace my 901D with an E6750 and maybe thatll help the problem

My first motherboard purchase
Pros: Works like a charm. I fitted this in my Antec P182 case easily. I have little experience in overclocking, but I can say that it's easy to overclock with this motherboard in the BIOS.
Cons: The computer runs incredibly slow when I installed an IDE hard drive as a second hard drive. I have a SATA II Maxtor 320GB as my main boot HDD, and experience no slowness without the IDE hard drive (Western Digital 80GB). This may not be a motherboard issue, but just to let you know what I've experienced.
Other Thoughts: Running Pentium Dual-Core E2140, Crucial Ballistix 2GB DDR2-800, NVIDIA 256MB 7900GS.

Gigabyte P35-DS
Pros: Included plenty of cables and a good faceplate for on-board components.
Cons: I had 2 issues with this motherboard:
1) IDE channel is located on the far-side of the motherboard. The provided cable has to be streched past the video card and over the SATA connectors. It is very tight.
2) I could not install an OS in a RAID configuration because of multiple IRQ conflicts. The only way to get an OS with this motherboard is to disable the RAID controller, onboard NIC, and both USB 1.1 and 2.0 controllers.

It Actually Works
Pros: Full featured for the price, 8 USB ports, Intel ICH9 RAID, 4 DDR2 sockets. This is the fifth MB I have tried, and this one actually works. I have tried two ASUS P5SD2-X and two Intel DG965WH motherboards, with the same CPU and RAM. The first ASUS and the first Intel were both DOA. The second ASUS and Intel partially worked, but each had defective components. This Gigabyte MB is fully functional. Is ASUS and Intel QC lacking?
Cons: Northbridge heatsink is so close to CPU socket that Actic-Cooling Freezer Pro 7 CPU fan barely fits.
Other Thoughts: The manual covers several MB models without clearly distinguishing among them. For example, setup for both Intel and Gigabyte RAID controllers is covered in the manual, but this MB has only Intel RAID, so if you mistakenly follow instructions for both, neither will work.

Didnt work
Pros: Fast shipping?
Cons: The mobo would power up and then begin restarting itself every 3 secs or so. No post beep whatsoever. Tried just about everything I could-moved memory around, changed mem, changed connectors, connect graphics card, etc.

Great Mobo
Pros: Easy to work with. Very Sturdy board. Had a problem locking the Q6600 processor on the board but it stood up to a little extra punishment on my end.
Cons: Northbridge heatsink came loose but easily snapped back in

I Like it!!!
Pros: Plug it in and it works! Running a C2D 6750 for the last three months. This one (the 2nd one), is running a Xeon X3210 nicely.
Cons: The onboard NIC died on the 1st one for some reason, otherwise no problems.
Other Thoughts: Wasn't sure if it would run with the Xeon CPU but it's going pretty good so far . . . it's only been alive for about 2 hours.

Good board once you get it working
Pros: It has most features you would want in a standard MB. It also overclocks very well. It's nice having 8 rear USB in place of antiquated parallel and serial ports, and 8 SATA ports is also good. The board layout is designed in a rather convenient manner. Finally having all solid capacitors undoubtedly adds extra stability.
Cons: The newest version of the BIOS caused errors in MEMTEST86+. After reverting to v8, everything worked fine. The automatic timings were set higher than necessary on two different major brands of RAM. Also, some parts of the BIOS aren't as clear as they could be in a few places (as an example it only specifies voltages as increments from [presumably] JEDEC standards for DDR2 etc, rather than telling you the actual voltages).
Other Thoughts: The installation software for the chipset tries to install Yahoo Toolbar if you do an automatic installation. While said toolbar isn't terrible, I doubt the money they make off of bundling it is worth losing trustworthiness in the eyes of customers.

Nice!
Pros: Setup was a breeze...worked right out of the box. I have had no problems with it at all. My FPS actually went up by 5 on this motherboard & I'm using the same hardware as before (except the mobo)Great overclocker & overall killer motherboard if you don't want SLI. SLI is overkill & overated in my opinion anyway.
Cons: None

DOA
Pros: Nice layout and my friends works very well
Cons: DOA
Other Thoughts: I wish I had recieved one that allowed me to turn on my computer but the relays to the power button must be ruined cause I got nothing. First time shopping with newegg, they are very helpful, everything thing else I bought for my new build was excellent.

WOW
Pros: Incredible speed, and equally impressive stability. OCed a P4 531 to 4.0ghz at 1.375 volts. Blazing fast HDD access thanks to the ICH9R.
Cons: No heatpipes like the DS4.
Other Thoughts: Installed 2cm fan on northbridge to keep it cool.

Linux problems
Pros: Seams like a reasonably motherboard for the price. Has lots of hard drive connections. Plenty of USB ports.
Cons: I ran into a problem when running both Window and Linux on this board. When windows exits it disables the on board Ethernet and then re enables it when you boot into windows. Linux doesn't know how to enable the Ethernet port so the Ethernet doesn't work. The fix for this is to tell window to allow "Wake up from LAN", this stops window from disabling the Ethernet port on exit. You can set this in the devices menu.
Other Thoughts: I have also had some weirdness when exiting Linux. I have not tracked this down yet.

Low Price Ubuntu Toy
Pros: Wanted to play with Linux without risk of trashing my main machine. Gutsy Gibbon (7.10) feels right at home on this mobo (rev2). Added 1g RAM, C2D E6550 CPU, 8500 GPU, Antec EA380 PS, Maxtor 300G SATA HD, Pioneer DVR-2810 SATA OD, put them in a cheap CoolerMaster, add a FREE OS, and I have something I can tinker with for hours and hours. I am not into gameing or overclocking, so I am happy with this rig for about $675.
Cons: None really. This motherboard has a good feature set for the price point. A "power to the board" LED would have been nice.
Other Thoughts: Later might see if I can get a Creative sound card to work since they come with firewire. I may be old fashioned, but I like PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports. Besides, they work with the KVM switch I already have for my Logitech mouse and keyboard and Acer AL1912 monitor. Can't say enough nice things about Ubuntu. Internet access was automatic, setting up my printer (Brother HL-1240) was a no brainer, and I am in the process of networking the war departments (aka loving wife) computer. Took the 40gig PATA hard drive out of my old (as in 233MHz) door stop and it works here in FAT32 as shared storage.

Worked great
Pros: This board worked great out of the box. I my q6700 to OC to 3.0 right away and bumped the volts up a bit and got 3.2. This is with stock cooler. also gskill ram and a ati 1950xt. no problems with any of the giga sata ports going into raid on xp pro
Cons: NB heat sink could be held on better.

Excellent motherboard
Pros: I've actually recieved the version 2 of this motherboard, which has the latest F9 bios which apparently fixes out all the looping problems, I am actually amazed. It supports every Core 2 and quad series right out of the box Very very easy to set up, installing Xp or Vista on a SATA drive is easy, no floppy drivers needed as you can make the SATA ports run in IDE mode, you'll have it running in two hours tops.It even comes with a handly poster to guide. Overclocking options are a dream come true to anybody who loves to overclock, it has just about every single setting you would want to tweak around with.
Cons: Live a-bios update thing doesnt work, I'm not sure what's up with that.
Northbrige heatsink is relativly close to the CPU socket causing clearance issues with large after market heatsinks.
Clear CMOS is located in the worst spot imagined....very inconvinient. You'll have to take out the Video card every time to reset it.
The includes IDE cable isnt even long enough to reach my optical drives since the IDE port is located all the way on the bottom..brilliant.
Other Thoughts: Except for those flaws, everything else is perfect and solid. Overall build quality of the board is fantastic. Build it and overclock away to your hearts content!

Issues with SATA controllers
Pros: Cheap price for an effective OC Mobo.
Cons: Gigabyte's own SATA controllers have issues with Windows - so use the 6 orange ports only if you can (they are Intel). SATA Bios took 10 seconds (literally) to initialize in every boot. Voltages for RAM/PCIe/MCH has increment of 0.1V, which in some cases appears too coarse.
Other Thoughts: I can not understand the 10s delay of the SATA AHCI controller at the startup of my computer. There's nothing fancy to it that would take so long. Other than that, most of the issues aforementioned are workable.

Good Board
Pros: Stable well working board.
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: This is my first Gigabyte motherboard and so far I have not had any problems. In some of the systems I have built over the years, the motherboards have had small quirks and I had to play with the settings/hardware to get all the parts to fully function correctly. This was not the case with this board. Everything has worked perfectly on the first try with this board.

Great News Bios F10
Pros: Great News Folks this is an update to my previous review. As you recall I could not run bios f7, F8, or F9 without shutting EIST off in the bios. See my previous review "Beetle" Gigabyte just came out with Bios F10 Which is "Fix CPU compatibility issues " I can now run f10 with Eist turned on and very stable.
Cons: NO Cons _ I love This Board we's Rockin now!
Other Thoughts: q6600 2.4 ghz Quad, 2 gigs Crucial ddr2 800 Ram, Evga 8600GT Superclocked 256 meg video card, Seagate 250 7200.10 sataII 300 hard drive, Samsung 20X Sh-S203N Dvd Dual layer burner, SYBA IEEE 1394a FireWire PCI Card with Internal 9-pin Header Model SD-VIA-FW1E1H

Worked for a while
Pros: Worked out of the box. Compatible with everything I plugged in. Fast and flexible.
Cons: Died after 4 months. Just locked up and wouldn't restart. Went into the infinite restart loop that many others have reported - both here and at other sites. Replaced with an ASUS board - so far so good.

Worth looking at
Pros: Runs nice. Solid design. Have no issues with the board under OC conditions. Runs my 6420 C2D CPU at 3.2GHz using 1.27 Volts with no sweat at all.
Cons: BIOS is not the most user friendly but functional. Crtl+F1 boys and girls.
Other Thoughts: The board was an easy install for this build. Everything went smoothly. Can not ask for anything better :)
System specs. Antec 900 and Earthwatts 430 PSU This board. E6420 C2D. Ballastix PC6400 RAM. CPU 7000 series Nvidia based GPU. Thanks Newegg for excellent service!

Love This Board
Pros: Solid Performer, Cool Running, over clocks Great. F6 Bios is rock solid. I have been playing with this board for over a month now and the only issues I have had was trying to go above Bios F6. Very stable under that bios. On F7, F8, or F9 bios it would accasionally shutdown. However keep in mind that F7 was written for the upcoming 45NM Processor. I can run f7,f8, or f9 but only if I shut off EIST in the bios. then it is stable again. So I am ASSUMING this is nothing more than a bios Processor mismatch. I am running F9 right now with EIST off. And as usual extremely stable. These higher bios releases offer no advantage unless you have the 45nm CPU which you do not yet, A TB Hard Drive or in f7 you wish to see the actual MB voltages which you can do with something like Everest Software.
Cons: NO cons - I am running the Q6600 2.4 ghz Processor which I have overclocked with ease to 3.0 and 3.2 ghz and very stable. CPU Multi 333*9 for 3.0 ghz and 400*8 for 3.2 both with memory bus running 1000mhz no voltage adjustments, motherboard does that on its own. BTW Using Crucial DDR2 800 mhz Memory
Other Thoughts: For the reviewer who can't get his headphones to work go into your audio manager and shut off "Front Panel Jack Detection" and your head phones will work.
I am no expert folks and this is the first time I overclocked and I don't mess with voltages but this worked for me and I hope it helps someone with issues, Stick with F6 Bios, if you don't like to play around It's rock solid . Anyway I am loving this board.
My uneducated theory is the F7 and above bios's with Eist turned on is cutting the processor voltage to much. Assuming the 45NM will require less voltage to operate. Hope this helps some of you with issues and most important these boards need the right memory. AS I said I am no expert just my uneducated guess.

Great Motherboard
Pros: Hooked all the connectors up and powered up - everything worked the first time. Except the audio. Easy overclocker.
Cons: Realtek HD Audio is kind buggy, lots of distortion and no front panel headphone - needed to download the driver's from Raltek to and install them (twice?) to get everything to work properly. But work they do, so it's no big deal.
Other Thoughts: Did I mention that it's an easy overclocker? Took my C2Q Q6600 up to 3509MHz. On air. 3DMark Score 13356, CPU Score 4926 Marks.

Great board
Pros: Good software, easy install. Nice bios, easy setup, has good setup for automatic overclocking and monitoring, aswell as custom overclocking.
Cons: Chipset on board gets hot, but not too bad, but it has to too keep up with the fast flow of traffic on the board.

Nice Mobo - requires XP reinstall!
Pros: Great price 2 features ratio, seems very stable. Good price for the features you get.
Cons: I tried to move my drive with XP from a previous Gigabyte mobo (GA-945P-S3) to this one... HUGE problems. No matter what I could not get it to boot after manually removing all the chipset/SATA/IDE/etc drivers and doing an Upgrade (repair) from the XP CD. Had to install fresh and reinstall all apps. No eSATA ports... really?! No Parallel (LPT) or Serial (COM) port on PCI slot adapters to connect to the headers on the mobo... come on Gigabyte... is the fifty cents in parts going to kill you?

Very Stable Motherboard
Pros: This is one nice motherboard. Looks good and has plenty of connections the software that comes with it works well. All the cables and external ports come with this package. I haven't tweaked it much so I can't say if it is a good board for overclockers. It does come with a program which lets you change setting from within Windows as appose to tweeking in BIOS which saves you a lot of time with reboots.
Cons: Non so far

Pros: Paired this board with a q6600 (b3) on the recommendation of a friend. Works beautifully, stable vcore under load, no issues, rock solid 24/7 running boinc. Found the BIOS to be very user friendly.
Cons: none.

Excellent motherboard
Pros: This board is in every way superior to its 965P-DS3 predecessor. It is much more overclocking-friendly, performs better, and has every single feature of its esteemed forebearer (and then some).
The most improved usability area of this board is its overclocking flexibility. Instead of needing a BIOS reset via jumper like the 965P-DS3 usually did when you had settings that the CPU or mobo didn't like, P35-DS3R will just reset to default CPU settings automatically. Major headache saver.
Cons: The CMOS reset jumper is still below the video card. This is not nearly as much of an issue with this board as it was with 965P-DS3 because P35-DS3R doesn't have the POST problems when overclocking.
The board undervolts the CPU, even at stock settings. This is called Vdroop in the overclocking community. It seems to be about 0.1v off, which is rather extreme and can be annoying.
Gigabyte does not entirely explain what each BIOS update addresses. I haven't had any specific problems arise from an update, however. More info is always appreciated though.
Other Thoughts: Can't beat the price and apparent quality of this board.
I have worked with both v1.0 and v2.0, and both are equal in quality IMO. v2.0 replaces the serial and parallel ports with more USB ports.

Few teething pains - works great, now
Pros: Great features, upgradeability. Better upgrade path than unstable ASRocky VIA-based dual vsta board.
Cons: Only one IDE port and location of that port is too low in my case. Floppy port still on a mainboard? Had issues with FSB / Memory frequency - but was related to the speedstep/slow down feature of the processor - turning it off fixed that.
Other Thoughts: I should be fine with this mainboard for at least three years.

Good board
Pros: Lots of features. Lots of room for expansion.
Cons: Board layout is good except for the IDE connector placement. I know, who wants to use IDE nowadays. For people upgrading with existing IDE devices such as ROMs or ReWriters it's a pain because the connector is at the bottom of the board in an ATX case and the cable will be almost always in the way of other things.
Other Thoughts: I have been using Gigabyte boards in the majority of my builds in 2007 and haven't had too many problems.
As far as the reviews here about bad P35 boards, I haven't had any of your issues with almost a dozen of them so far. All have come 100% working with ZERO problems with the exception of 1 965P board due to the board being flakey. Most of the time, the "reboot loop" (cold boot) problems are due to memory issues (timings, voltages or bad modules) or an unstable CPU overclock. Usually letting the board run at default produces little or no problems.

Pros: ICH9R is stable. Very pleased with performance.
Cons: No firewire...not a big deal for me though.

what the heck happened?
Pros: I've built many systems not had any issues, I was pleased with the speed and operation of the Bios, it was easy to assemble, and loads of tweaks for those who choose to overclock, I'm not one of them. the memory requirements are a pain as it involves more expense
Cons: I had the board up and operating three days, and then it suddenly died. fortunetly newegg allows returns and I'm expecting a new mb and cpu, not sure what the problem is, but I've read here before this board is prone to do this, hopefully the next one won't, I got the version 2.
Other Thoughts: either the cpu cooling fan needs to be boosted or better quality control before the boards get shipped out, this is kind of a pain to have to return the product and wait a few weeks to get a new one.

Revison 2.0
Pros: Great motherboard. I have my Q6600 at 3ghz and it could easily go higher. Plently of sata ports. I got revison 2.0 with 8 rear usb ports. It was a nice surprise.
Cons: None so far. Has been running stable for weeks. Not a problem at all.
Other Thoughts: Great quality motherboard. I'm recommending it everyone.

A big dissapointment
Pros: 8 SATAs give flexibility for larger 6 drive RAID configs, cost is good.
Cons: Serious Quality issues going on with this board. Got one to run for a week, the other never posted. Board loops whenever it has a problem at boot up. Known good setup and multiple components switched in. Sensitity to DIMM placement seen (try 2/4 bank as a last resort). 12 customer returns at the local store was enough for me to give up on this board and move to Abit.
Other Thoughts: I really wished this had been a good board. Luckily the problems seems to be limited to Gigabyte and maybe even certain shipments.

Great board
Pros: I've been building systems for years, ever since the TRS80 Radio shack days, this is an easy install, the only problem I had was with the ida Cable for cd and hd install the drive attachments are not far enough apart to fit my case. The manual is easy to read and the Bios has loads of tweaks, although I found the recommended monitor temp for my CPU was a bit low causing the overtemp alarm to constantly sound, I reset the threshold to a higher temp and it's fine now
Cons: The northbridge cooling fins placement is not alloing me to install a better heatsink, when a video card is installed, guess I'm stuck with the factory heatsink. Plenty of cables for allowed connections although a longer one for IDE connection with further apart connections would be nice for those of us that choose a full tower arrangement,

RMA service
Pros: NO.
Cons: Please be advised Gigabyte's RMA service is not cool at all. It took me 3 weeks for my mobo to be repaired according to their policy. At the time when i had problem it was just over one month from the purchased date. I am not statified with the service at all.

Highly recommend, killer MOBO!
Pros: For the price and what it offers you, can't beat it. Also the ability to be able to use Intel's next 45nm CPU chip, is a big plus for me. Very stable mobo!
Cons: None so far after 45 days.

great motherboards features for its price
Pros: what i like about this board is that i supports 8, that's right 8, sata 2 ports. you typically find 8 ports on high end motherboards and not at this price or typically 4-6 sata ports at this price.
there are many overclocking features and functions available in this motherboard.
it supports the 45nm processors soon to be released in the spring time by intel.
Cons: there are no parallel port [you never know when you may need them]
i did not like where the ide ports were located.
no ddr3, but even if it did i would not purchase it as they are too expensive.
it was a little hard to install into the pc case as the screw layouts in the pc case was a little off. i had to push very hard but while keeping it "safe" so i don't accidentally bend or crack anything.
Other Thoughts: parts i used; gigabyte p35-ds3r evga 8600gt ddr3 256mb adata 1gb x 2=2gb dual channel x-pleasure [500watt psu included and used] maxtor 160gb sata 1 hard drive
