So far so good!
Pros: Installed 4gb (2 sticks) Kingston HyperX memory and an Intel E8600 3.33 processor and fired right up! Overclocked to 4.1 without adjusting voltage and still very stable. Had to adjust voltage for the ram to 2.1 though. (thats what it requires) Will inform if something happens.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Also, motherboard had no issues with Intel's SSD 80gb.

Had a lot of trouble
Pros: This is only the second computer I've built, so I can't really compare this motherboard to anything else.
Cons: I could not get the first motherboard to work. I ordered a replacement mobo and my computer was working in a couple of hours. I had a nightmare of a time trying to get the network adapters to work. I disabled "Quick Boot" in the BIOS and they immediately started working. Windows 7 will not recognize F8 on start up. The computer will recognize a USB keyboard to get into the BIOS, but after that a USB keyboard won't do anything. I don't know if that is typical, but for a person who isn't used to building computers, it's critical to know. The computer is unstable and crashes. Maybe it was because of the quick boot and the network adapters. It may turn out to be a good mobo, but I have had a nightmare getting it to work. The program "@BIOS" will not run for me in Win 7 64 bit. It crashes right after I start the flash process. That's not good. I'm using this mobo with the E8500 CPU. It has crashed on me multiple times with a blue screen. I sure hope I can get it to stabilize.

Excellent performance
Pros: it worked straight out of the box. No issues whatsoever. running at stock settings. good board.
Cons: none.
Other Thoughts: paired with OCZ 8MB RAM, CoolerMaster Aquagate cooling system, LD BDDVD burner, Sony DVD Bruner and Intel Wolfdale. Been running efficiently for 10months now.

Great Mobo
Pros: I have built tons of machines and this is one of the best boards I've used. It's always great when the board works out of the box.
Cons: Wish it had one more PCI-e x16 slot.

Lots of featurs, a little hiccup at first
Pros: Plenty of USB ports, firewire, dual LAN, and EIGHT SATA ports.
Cons: The LAN/firewire devices can be flaky sometimes.
Other Thoughts: I have one important piece of advice for anyone using this board: turn off quick boot in the BIOS. Trust me, it can mess with your computer producing an error code 10 when trying to start the device.
If it still happens, search online for "name of board" lan error code 10 and you can try one of the other fixes.

Pros: Overclocked my e7600 to 3.8 GHZ stable, will go higher once I get a new cooler and RAM. Seems to work well, has a lot of slots for just about everything. BIOS is very easy and very customizable.
Cons: The onboard stuff, one of the heat sinks, and the ram are all very close to the CPU slot, so heating solutions may become a problem if they're big.
Other Thoughts: Good item for the price, some people have said they got defective hardware, but this is probably the best MB you can get for overclocking, and was very supported when I asked about what kind of MB to get.

Love Gigabyte!
Pros: Dual bios. Quality. Reliable. Fair price. cutting edge tech.
Cons: Hard to talk to the tech guys-better take a number...
Other Thoughts: I own five Gigabyte Motherboards. I love them all... Very nice.... if there is no problem with the board or system leave it alone. LEAVE the BIOS ALONE...If it is not broken do not try to fix it...Enjoy the board! You're gonna love it...

Solid Board
Pros: Put this board together with a Q9650 and HIS 4670 used old Corsair memory from a prior build. It has been up and running since 12/31/09 and this is very solid. Not one problem or hiccup.
Cons: The only con is a design problem. I also purchased an Arctic Cooler Freezer Pro 7 to use as HSF. However, there is a transistor/capacitor that is too close to one of the holes to screw in the base of the Arctic Cooler. Currently using the retail Intel HSF. Temps are good since not attempting to OC.
Other Thoughts: I was an avid Abit user before this build. Built 6 using Abit boards. However, I did a lot of research before making this purchase. I could not be happier with the performance. Having stated that I should mention I would be ecstatic if I could of used the Arctic Cooler Freezer Pro I bought.

Great, if it works
Pros: Loaded motherboard, easy access to connectors, well documented. Audio and networking components work very well.
Cons: Big heat sinks on components can block some heat sink fans.
My went brain dead after 2 months. Sent it to Gigabyte for repair. They sent it back. It's still brain dead. By brain dead, I mean that on power-on, it starts for about 1 second, then turns off, then starts for about 1-second, then turns off, etc. I'll have to contact Gigabyte again.

A Good One
Pros: This board is well built and provides all the connectivity I could want and then some; only items I added were a graphics card and faxmodem. RAID setup was a seamless conversion from an ICH9 on a GA-X38-DS4 that burned up after two years. Gigabyte technical support seems to have improved over the last couple years; email response within a day and knowledgeable of their products. A very nice board and reasonable price.
Cons: Tech support obviously from Taiwan and details get lost in translation, tech support is reasonably good and helpful.
Other Thoughts: Check a new board on the bench without peripherals; most problems seem to be no-boot or memory related (run MS Memory Diagnostics). Newegg had it delivered in two days; paying for rush processing was worthwhile (though others process overnight for competitive advantage).

A Few Problems
Pros: Alot of Sata ports, Raid, Great overclocker.
Cons: This board does have some issues, Certian Crashes, blue screens.
Other Thoughts: I bought this from a diffrent etailer 8 monthes ago and the board had been pretty decent, I was always a fan of Gigabyte. I recently upgraded to a Gigabyte x58 board and wow what a diffrence in preformance.

stay away!
Pros: none that last to long
Cons: after lest then a year of mediocre...after a case swap...all the mother board did was turn on for a sec then turn off, then turn on, in a loop
i disconnected everything except the power cords cpu and cpu fan
still! same thing
then i swapped out for a older cpu that i didnt care about and removed the cpu fan....
STILL same thing
i got desparate and changed the power supply
STILL the same thing
so i ordered a new one (thinkin i must of did something to break it in the case swap)
NOPE!
i purposely tested it right in the box it was in....
and to my surprise and disgust...the same thing was happening....im gunna return this board and never return to Gigabyte again
Other Thoughts: run far far away from this board and this company
if i could give zero eggs...i would

its a work of art!
Pros: love the RAM support of up to 16GB max and also of DDR2 667, had older RAM I wanted to use, most other boards only support 800+. amazing number of USB2.0 ports, SATA ports, eSATA upgrade, FW400 ports. there is so much this mobo can do that I will never use but love the options I do have. One of the best things Is it INCLUDES cables... I paid like extra $12 for cables because I did not see it came with 4 premium right angle SATA 3G cables, eSATA interface & cables, and PATA cable too.
Cons: not really a con... sound problems & dual LAN. not supported fully because I used this mobo for a hackintosh build. so its not the mobo's fault as I am trying to use it for something its not designed for.
Other Thoughts: for over a year I wanted to build my own hackintosh. since Apple no longer supports me as a power user because I'd rather shell out less money for more computer. Every forum and site I went to, people said to get a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P. I am glad I did. the board is crafted superbly.

Very solid board
Pros: Easy to install and configure. This board replaced a 680i chipset based board and I had no problems moving from one to the other. The only issues were with Windows, but once XP enumerated the HW, all was good. The board configured my memory correctly, although I know this has been a problem for some.
Cons: Don't install the Dynamic Energy saver sw. Had a couple of BSOD issues after installing and debugged it to this install. Once removed, everything has been rock solid

Happy with stability
Pros: Stable. Unless you are overclocking or having problems, this is all you need from a motherboard, stability. I was always an A M D & A T I man... I suppose because I love an underdog? Maybe cause I'm a little cheap and they were always cheaper when I was buying? Years of minor tiny glitches have worn me down. I built for stability this time, Intel, Gigabyte, nVidia, and no cutting edge stuff. Not a glitch, no problems whatsoever, actually my first build ever to go completely together and install every single accessory and piece of hardware problem free.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: Maybe I've just been very unlucky with other builds but I'm so happy with this that I've ordered another mobo just like this and semi- identical accessories for the family computer. Will update here with any problems

One of the bad ones
Pros: Nice looking board with tons of features and versatility.
Cons: Upgrading from an ASUS mini ATX, wanted this board so I can run 8GB DDR2 1066 and still keep my other gear including my Intel Q6600, and upgrading to Windows 7 x64. After installing Windows 7, and several reboots after installing my old programs into a new WD 1TB Black, the MOBO wouldn't finish posting. It would get stuck in "Verifying DMI pool data" It would not hand off to the hard drive. I tried switching boot order back to the DVD ROM drive to reinstall Windows, and it still would get stuck in the verifying DMI pool data and hang. I let it sit like that for 10 mins then gave up. I eventually returned it and got a Asus P5Q motherboard put she same hardware in and worked fine. I always had luck with ASUS motherboards.
Other Thoughts: I'm sure with the many reviews that gave 4-5 eggs they are enjoying their boards. The ones that have less eggs than that seemed to have gotten bad boards. It seems like something to do with quality control on Gigabyte's part.

Hating this BOARD!!!
Pros: Runs great for everything except for the following. See below
Cons: Locks up randomly. Checked heat on board and CPU both below 38c. When you go to restart its a 50/50 shot the it will boot up again. It goes in the this on off sysle each tim ethe fan starts, until you turn off the power in the back of the case. If it does make it through the boot up it locks up in the system start up. It does it in both windows XP and Linux. It sarted about 3 months after I got it. Trying to manufacture to send new one!!!!
Other Thoughts: none

Nice
Pros: I used this motherboard in my just completed first build. I had upgraded computers in the past but never built a machine from the ground up. I found the instructions to be excellent and I was impressed with the quality of the board. It is a great match to the Intel Q9400 chip I selected and the result is a very fast machine.
Cons: None

Pretty good
Pros: This board is great, just like all gigabyte boards (a little partial to the brand). Does exactly what it says. This board is made VERY durable. Compared to my old mobo this one is close to twice as thick, and has a layer of 2oz copper plating within the composition of the circuit board. It comes with plenty of USB ports and supports high definition audio. One of the more interesting features is the 2 Ethernet ports that come with software which allows you to utilize both ports at once to optimize bandwidth. BIOS comes with PLENTY of options to overclock.
Cons: The socket type is made of super-thin pieces of copper instead of pins. This means that it is EXTREMELY easy to crinkle(or bend) the pins. Keep this in mind when installing the CPU on this board.
Other Thoughts: Replaced my old GIGABYTE GA-M55SLI-S4 and couldn't be happier.

Great Board
Pros: Just a great board. I paired it with a Q9550 and two Corsair TWIN2X4096-8500C5D memory module pairs. I took the CPU from 2.6G to 3.3G so I could ratio the FSB up so as to run the memory at 1066 which works great. I have stress tested the setup several times with Everest. I also have a Zalman CNPS9900 on the CPU along with Lian Li's PC-8B which is just a solid case keeping the heat down and everything nice and quiet. Load Windows 7 on this and never look back. I have had this setup running for over four months now without any issues.
Cons: I have no cons. NewEgg got it to me quick and I had it running the next day.
Other Thoughts: I have used a GigaByte board for a build before which had some sort of Dual Power setup that died after about a year so I researched this board heavily before buying it. The pipes on this one just add to the aesthetics and provide great heat control.

maybe a risk but a worthwhile one
Pros: I came to this board because my ep45-ds3l (one of this boards predecessors) crapped out and I felt like getting a better board.
-this thing overclocks like a beast. My old board struggled to put out 455 fsb for my q9550. I got it to 471 for 4 ghz in about 10 minutes (I had a lot of experience with my older gigabyte board, YMMV). There is still headroom that I don't feel like exploiting.
-This board is pretty much essential to extract the potential from yorkfield chips. It comes a lot of control over the timings and voltages, without which pushing yorkfields to their limits is almost impossible.
-has most of the slots you could ever want(excluding some legacy items) in a well thought out layout.
-The package comes with all the features that one would expect from a top tier 4 series mobo. - esata bracket
Cons: The heatsink assembly over the northbridge and mosfets made it a PITA to install my waterblock. I don't blame the board for it, and a fix was relatively simple. Apparently a lot of people are having problems with ram slots though I did not come across this issue.
Other Thoughts: try manually setting the ram settings if you are having trouble I guess.

Update to my ist review
Pros: I told Gigabyte tech support I would update my previous review. Their response time was a little slow, but they did work with me through e-mail support. Once I received an inital reply, they were quick with posting daily, sometimes twice a day. I'm not absolutely certain what I did, but..............I played around with Easy Tune and Energy Saver to load at startup, and wouldn't you know, after re-starting, it went right to the internet. It has for every subsequent start-up since. I do know, and I'm not sure if it's a Windows 7 issue or not, but when I first looked in network connections, it showed my home network, and an unknown network. Now since it's fixed, I only have my home network listed. I believe the two were somehow canceling each other out. I don't know if this will help with anyone else's problems, but I know there have been a lot of issues with the network adapters on this board.
Cons: Gigabyte tech did recommend the obvious driver updates, even direct from Realtek website. As well as checking for MAC address, etc. They did exhaust all possibilities before suggesting RMA. I'm glad I persisted through my own hard headedness, to see this through.
Other Thoughts: Frustrating to have to go through all I did to get this board stabilized, but in the long run, it was worth it. My system is SMMMMOKIN now! If you're having issues with the network adapters, be stubborn, and exhaust every possible remedy. I think because Windows saw two net cards, it somehow mistakedly showed it as two networks, that cancelled each other out. Don't know how, all I know is, now showing home network alone, it runs fine. With Windows 7, it's blazing fast.

Gigabyte is probably currently the best mobo manufacturer
Pros: I'm going to keep this review short and simple. I have had 3 motherboards in the past 2 years, one Asus, one Intel, and now this Gigabyte and I must say it is probably the best motherboard I've worked with. I've built many systems for friends and family and I have been recommending Gigabyte every time. In fact, I have used Gigabyte motherboards in 5 other system builds besides my own and every one of them has been rock solid. Stability is top notch.
Cons: BIOS mis-read the clock speed and timings of my RAM, in my build and my friend's system with the same board and different RAM (I used Patriot RAM, his was Corsair) both systems mis-read the memory timings and clock speed making the system unstable at first. After a quick adjustment in BIOS everything was smooth sailing.
Other Thoughts: Can't go wrong with Gigabyte. There is a reason this product is so highly ranked.

1ST BAD BOARD UPDATE
Pros: see previous post about 1st bad board
Cons: still testing
Other Thoughts: read my first post (1st bad board) this appears to have fixed all problems. i did a month worth of switching and changing parts becauase board would not post (would not get to bios screen). i used two different psu's during all this testing, one a 550w one a 600w both have 8 pin mb plug, both were about 2 yrs old, and board would not post. i purchased a corsair tx750 from newegg and replaced the 600 and wala it posted the very first time i pushed the power button. just like a board is supposed to work. this has been working for several days. it is crazy why this worked, could be that older psu's don,t supply enough kick to get this board up and runing. i am runnig 2gb 800 pny 4-4-4-12 in slots 1-3, c2d e6600 w/stock cpu fan, pata cd rom, sata dvd, 2 500gb wd sata hdd, 2 chassis fans, no over clocking, plus all the other point of sale items, gun, printer, pin pad, card reader,2 keys 2 mice, fast enough for our lil bussiness, fingers crossed for now.

DOH!
Pros: None soo far.
Cons: Recieved the board today. Decided to run it on the bench before installing in case due to bad reviews. Powered it up and wouldn't you know it... no post. The power supply would fire up for about 5 seconds and then power off in a continuous loop. Swapped Power Supplies, CPU, Memory, and Video card... same thing. Called Gigabyte and described the problem. Tech asked me to unplug the 8pin connector and see if it still looped. Sure enough it did not, however it still wouldn't post of course. He stated that there was something wrong with the CPU socket that is causing this issue. He stated that sometims the tiny pins in the socket could be bent and not making contact with the CPU which could cause this. Tech told me to call Newegg and have the board replaced. Called Newegg and they are going to replace the board for me... Sucks I have to wait 3-5 days from when they recieve the bad board. No option to crossship. :(

so far so good
Pros: ok ive had it about a week and a half, and so far its running better then i ever expected. i upgraded from a p4 2.8ghz 478 northwood which only could oc to 2.9 =[
i got the q9400 with this motherboard at fry s for almost the same price i had to buy an aftermarket hs but it was worth it =]
so far its running smoothly and with windows 7 this computer is mainly for videos; photo editing; music; internet and gaming on occasion
the cd it comes with is helpful i messed around with a few of the programs engrysaver and easy tune 6 then the oc bug hit
lots of usb ports an sata ports
Cons: i did have a problem with the Ethernet port not working but if you turn off quick boot it fixes the problem so thats no reason to knock them down an egg
Other Thoughts: computer set up is q9400 2.66 oc at 3.4 stable for now gigabyte ep45-ud3p i really wanted the ud3r but for a few dollars more ehh why not asus 8500gt oc to 590 no name brand ram ddr667 now oc to ddr 850

wont do simple overclock, bad battery position
Pros: Inexpensive board that runs great out of the box. Lots of USB ports makes connecting everything very easy
Cons: this is supposed to be excellent overclocker. I have q6600 from other MB running (9x333) with only one click voltage inc. This MB wont boot if i make ANY change to fsb. all i get is fan starting and stopping. To make it worse. Reset bios button didnt do anything, had to take out battery, which is under graphic card. Had to take that out too just to reset.
Other Thoughts: I am experienced system overclocker, maybe my board is bad, but cant get anywhere with this one.

Total waste
Pros: The board just looks neat, feels great and has a great level of functionality.
Cons: The worst motherboard I've owned in 15 years. Memory slots 1 and 3 won't work. If there is ram in either of those slots, the board goes into a boot cycle.
Once you put memory in slots 2 and 4, you can get windows installed and then the BSOD appear. I've flashed the BIOS, changed out all components to new and checked all components in other systems. I've underclocked and overclocked all for not.
Stay away from this revision of the board. It seems that the board either works awesomely or not at all. 139.00 out the window and still looking for a stable board.
Other Thoughts: I won't buy this brand again. There's no tech support to speak of. I never received an answer to the issue with the memory slots and this is a common problem.

Great motherboard!
Pros: It's a great motherboard, with a sweet upgrade path available. Fast chipset, not to mention the sweet-looking heating system that is over the the north and south bridge chips! That's what the blue thing's are, I believe. Newegg packaged everything beautifully. Newegg you rock!!
Cons: Only one reason it got marked down. I bought a 120mm fan, and plugged it in to the board, and my CD/DVD drive wouldn't work! But i have enough ventilation in my case anyways, so no big deal. Just a heads up for anyone else who might have this problem.

awesome
Pros: awesome quality and just an awesome board. you always think boards are mostly the same. this is so not true. this one is far above any board i have ever owned. ...and is full size. much better than micro. ...really easy to overclock.
Cons: use the owner's manual. It is awesome, and does a great job of showing you how to set it up. the quick start guide is not good and is in like 20 different languages... it sucks.
Other Thoughts: i don't really know how to overclock, but got this board and a core 2 duo e4500, which i have heard so much about, for $50 used. already had 4gb, 667 mhz ram... now my cpu is running at 2.96 ghz, with a bus speed of 1.03 ghz and my ram ist running at 800mhz. all done in about 5 minutes with all stock hardware. the fan hardly runs and it is quiet and cool. AMAZING.

Still working great
Pros: Almost 1 month in and not 1 problem with it...
Cons: Maybe to boards colors could match a little better?? haha.... No Problems :)
Other Thoughts: Wasn't expensive so I say go for it if it meets your needs

DOA
Pros: Arrived in one day
Cons: The board was DOA. It would not complete the circuit and would not boot at all, no noises, no lights, no hint of it working. I had three others look at the board and tested it multiple times.
Other Thoughts: Cost me 12 bucks to send it back, that rebate does me a whole lot of good, thanks GIGABYTE for a board not worth my time or money

Solid board for great price
Pros: Nearly 100% compatible with OS X out of the box. With most other boards it's a struggle. This the simplest hackintosh build yet. Everyone should check out GigabyteOSX if they're interested.
Cons: The IDE port is in an odd position near the bottom of the board.

Ram Issue?
Pros: I have built several computers with this board and all of them work great. I like the board as I have posted before but I thought I would post back to help others with a Ram issue.
Cons: This thing can be picky when you add 8gig of ram to it. If your not adding 8 you will not have any problems.
Other Thoughts: Ok I added 4 sticks of OCZ reaper 1066. Well to start off windows 7 would not install. Got the blue screen of death and other problems. I pulled out all but one stick of ram and it installed fine. I then ran mems test 86 with two sticks and still all is good. Once you put 4 sticks in there is a problem. I resolved it by changing the BIOS system Multiplier to 2.40B this gives it a ram speed of 800. Yes that is a bummer with 1066 RAM but there is good news. I was then able to take the CAS time to 4, TRCD to 4, TRP 4 and TRAS to 12. I changed the MCH Core to 1.3 volts and the DRAM Volt to 1.96. Now I think it will run better than or the same as 1066 speed. I have seen posts with the same issue using other ram in on this MOBO.

No go
Pros: Have two other GA-EP45 UDP3 boards running good in two computers.
But, no pros for this one.
Cons: This board was DOA. Fans spin for a second, then off, pause, fans spin for a second, then off, pause, etc etc etc. Never posted.
Switched out known good video cards; tried all combos of memory slots (known good G-Skill memory which works with anything)
Unplugged everything (HDD, USB, CD) from motherboard.
Reset bios default by taking out battery.
No joy.
Other Thoughts: This was to replace a Gigabyte X38 that quit working a little over 1 year ago (original cost was over 200)
One of the other GA-EP45-UD3P was to replace a Gigabyte X48 board that quit working after about a year (original cost was around 250).
So we are not talking about cheap boards here.
I expect much more from a top-tier company such as Gigabyte. Do they even HAVE a quality control dept? This is the third Gigabyte board (out of 9 or 10) that I received DOA in the past two years.
It seems that quality anything in computer-land is old-school. Today, one is lucky if 1 in 5 components works out of the box! A very sorry state of affairs indeed.

Pros: It works, and it looks cool.
Cons: None

Ethernet DOA
Pros: board looks nice and seems like a quality mobo, not enouhg time on it to determine long term stability.
Cons: the ethernet was DOA. didnt even work the first time i plugged a cable in. windows says device cannot start and i see no indication of power on the port when a cable is plugged in. due to the extensive downtime that would occur if i return the item without advance RMA from newegg or gigabyte direct, i will just end up living with it.
Other Thoughts: despite many reviews on here that talked of bad QA idecided to purchase anyways. bad for me. on another note the mobo did oc without much trouble my Q6600 to 2.7. it would go farther but i ended up putting it back to stock clock.

Overall very nice
Pros: A very capable board for the price. Layout of the ports is well thought out, for the most part. 16Gb memory capacity will be nice for future upgrades, and 1600 FSB along with it! Overall a very nice middle-of the-road board. Plenty of room around the CPU for my Freezer 7 pro; not interference whatsoever. Installed some OCZ reaper memory (with the large heat spreader), still has plenty of room. RAID setup and BIOS flash are completely painless as opposed to other boards I have used.
Cons: SATA ports may make it difficult for those using larger video cards, 90 degree SATA cables should give more clearance. Integrated LAN cards are a bit quirky. Had to flash the BIOS to get them to work. BIOS features are also a bit clunky for those that want to overclock, the capability is there, just a bit difficult to use.
Other Thoughts: Overall this board serves the purpose for which it was intended, for hardcore gamers looking at a 775 socket board, I would consider some other options.

Zero Problems
Pros: The build quality of the board was high and the manual was good enough. The heatsinks on it seem like they are very high quality. I had zero problems, I put everything in, connected cables and everything worked from the first time I pressed the power button.
Cons: None

1st Bad Board
Pros: Cool running cpu +/- 28c, many jacks, quick, excellent value if you still need 775
Cons: 1st board purchased at newegg fought with for 3+ weeks, should have returned for another, but forgot about 30 day return policy. Board would not even boot to bios screen, power and hdd lights just flickered on case front and cd rom, called gigabyte and the tech said it was a defective board, that it wasn't the bios causing the issue. I tried every trick i could to keep this board, ram ,psu, cpu, you name it i did it for a month, see this is runnig my bussiness daily. I love the board, just having to continue to push the power button on/off ten-fifteen times every morning to get a brand new board to boot didnt seem correct to me. Gigabyte is supposed to be sending me a replacement, got my fingers crossed, don't need my bussines down any longer than need be. I have been a long time fan of asus boards, dont't get me wrong, they have there problems too, but after 20+ builds, i have never got an asus board that would not even boot to the bios.
Other Thoughts: If you purchase any new boards and there is any inkling of trouble, don't continue to mess with it like i did for a month, call newegg and get it replaced.

gigabyte mobo
Pros: good price.
Cons: slots 3/4 don't work. I'll have to live with it for a while. Can't afford to have the tech change out the board again and fight the warranty battle. Won't buy another Gigabyte product. Too many bad reviews.

Good board for the money
Pros: Board has a heavy solid quality feel. Feels like a piece of plywood you could dance on, when compared to other MB's. Bought it for 100 clams new. Boots up fast and the bios is great for just about type of tweaking you may wish to do. I like the RealTek on-board audio, it sounds great and functions flawlessly (your mileage may vary, but it works very well for me). Using 2 gigs (two 1 gig sticks) of Kingston PC2-6400 ram with an Intel Q9550. I put this system together for pennies on the dollar. I bought a small stash of PC components (new) from a systems builder who was selling out. It's not the latest and greatest, but it will more than suffice for what I do. A good solid mid-range system that should last several years to come (bar no hardware failures).
Cons: Take care which after market CPU cooler you buy. Things can get tight around the north-bridge heat sinks. I installed a ZALMAN 9500A cooler, and I could only orient it so the fan mounts horizontally. The compression mounting clip must face forward toward the front of the case. This is due to the way this particular series of coolers mount with their compression heat sink bar against retention tabs. They bump into the heat sinks.
Other Thoughts: Funny, I have the identical build on an Asus P5Q Deluxe MB which I recetly slapped together. I mean almost exactly the same. Same WD 320/gig Blue hard drives, same memory, same processor, same DVD players, same operating systems. No sound cards on either. Only difference are the vid cards. One has a 9800 GTX+, the other uses a GTX-260 (both EVGA). I optimized both for fast boot-up. The Gigabyte system boots measurably faster. Take it for what it's worth, if that matters to anyone.

Great Core 2 based board
Pros: This board is amazing. I have already OC'ed my Core 2 Duo E6400 to 2.8 Ghz(for those that don't know its stock speed is 2.13Ghz). Anyway, the layout of the board is overall well done with six SATA ports and 2 SATA RAID ports. The two PCI-e are good for later CF/SLI and the several PCI slots allow for other periperals (I have a sound card and Wireless Network card). The BIOS is well laid out so that even a novice can start overclocking with ease. Also, the in OS overclocking utility is also very well made as it not only adjusts the FSB for you but also the voltages, the DRAM frequencies, and Multiplier (For the "Extreme" brand of Intel Processors). This Mobo overvolts and overclocks like a champ I would reccomend this for someone who wants to get the most bang for their buck.
Cons: I do have a few complaints. The first being the position of the SATA ports. As I have a relatively large GPU (HD 4870) It tends to get in the way of removing or connecting SATA cables. Next, for some reason my Mobo did not come with a CMOS jumper so in order for me to clear my CMOS (I messed up my RAM timings), I had to pull the battery. In order for me to pull that battery I had to remove my graphics card. Another gripe is that by default, the Moba chipset drivers have Norton Antivirus selected to install with them. Norton is a terrible Antivirus suite which bogs down your PC so be careful when installing chipset drivers. I would also note that this is an aging chipset that you should only get if you do not want to upgrade your core 2 CPU. I highly reccomend that if this is in your budget go for a Core i3 or i5
Other Thoughts: Overall, a well made product. The North bridge and south bridge heatsinks feel sturdy and well constucted. Well done Gigabyte, well done.

Will see about quality
Pros: All the specs look great, but lots of bad reviews make me worry. It should be here tomorrow, hope it works. Bought for a Hackintosh project with a GeForce 9500GT and 4GB of OCZ ram. Looks to be a good deal, only time will tell.
Cons: Will know tomorrow...

Cool mobo
Pros: Great runs cool with those massive heat sinks
Cons: My pc kept was never able to shut down. It just kept on reseting and with everything at default it still happened. I was about to returned when i decided to clear the cmos. And wht you know it now works prefect.
Other Thoughts: a lot of tools for OCing

Rock Solid Motherboard
Pros: Customizable Bios settings till the cows come home. You want to tweak it, you can find a setting for it. Easy to install, fast boot times, and outstanding performance for an LGA 775 board. Can't wait to see how it benchmarks against the newer I7's. I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of overclocking potential on this board.
Cons: I didn't buy it sooner....
Other Thoughts: Upgraded from a P35 Gigabyte board and the difference is really noticeable.

Really happy with it
Pros: Rock solid stability, good driver support, excellent power saving capabilities, doesn't seem finicky about memory, supports lots of peripherals, and has a ton of USB's.
With 7 hard drives attached (using as a Windows 7 file server,) it will spin the individual drives down when not in use. This saves on heat, power use, and wear & tear on the drives. Only takes ~2 seconds to spin up a drive when needed.
Windows 7 also handles the dual gigabit nic's in bridged mode to a D-Link Gbit switch with no hassle.
Cons: None that I can think of. It's definately a full size ATX - uses all three rows of screws.
Other Thoughts: I purchased this to replace an Asus P5N-SLI that would no longer post. This was my first non-Asus mobo purchase in 7 years or so. I couldn't be more happy with it. It is essentially my home torrent/file server. I'm running Windows 7 64bit with 6 GB of ram, a 2.5GHz E5200, and GeForce 8600GTS. I'm running 5 SATA hard drives, 2 IDE hard drives, and a SATA DVD-R/W. Very happy with the setup.

I would not buy again!!!!!!
Pros: Worked for the most part. When it would blue screen it would reboot its self thus keeping my home server up.
Cons: The RAM slots didn't work. Bought 4gb. 1066 Gskill RAM to run my home server. I have had it for a month and every day and sometimes twice a day it would blue screen and reboot. The hard drives were fine. Checked the RAM and it stated my RAM was bad. I use the same RAM in 2 other computers and it tests fine. Bought a different brand motherboard to replace it.

Awesome Hackintosh MB
Pros: Great BIOS configuration for overclocking and has an abundance of SATA connections. I used this board to build a Hackintosh computer and it rocks! If you're thinking about building one this board has lots of support in the forums and works perfectly.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I found the overclocking tool supplied by Gigabyte to be basic and would recommend not using it unless you have no idea what you're doing.

If only it worked as good as it looked
Pros: It looks nice and plenty of expansion slots.
Cons: The RAM slots didn't work right. I had 2x 1066 DDR2 RAM which the motherboard should take, and it did as long as only 1 stick was in it. As soon as the second stick was added I would blue screen every 5 minutes, different slots didn't work as this issue happened with the ram in both the 2/4 and 1/3 configuration. After doing some research I wasn't the only person who experienced problems with their RAM on this computer. I am shocked that a motherboard that so many people seem to have problems with is currently one of the best reviewed on Newegg.
Other Thoughts: I ended replacing this with a motherboard that was $40 cheaper and took my RAM and booted up with no issue. Goes to show that money doesn't always mean better quality.
And not really a complaint worth taking an egg off for(not that I could take it down any further) but the motherboard boot screen is ugly as hell. Every time you boot up your computer you will be greeted with the same image that's on the box in ridiculously low resolution.

gigabyte board defective
Pros: good price
Cons: ram slots 3 and 4 don't work. MB will not boot if any ram stick is in either slot. I can't afford to have the board removed and re-install a new one so I'll run it for a while until I get the money to junk it and buy a board that works.
Other Thoughts: Too bad. Looks like a great economy board if it would work.

Pros: Very sturdy! SATA ports are positioned just far enough out of the way of the video card that none are blocked by it.
Cons: Over clocking can be a bit tricky because they let you get so in depth with the voltages and such, but I was able to over clock an E8400 to OVER 4Ghz =0 Only loses an egg because the memory freq is lacking, IE: does not let me choose exact freq that I want.
Other Thoughts: My old 680i bored died so I got this and I am very happy with the purchase.

Great Motherboard
Pros: Fits great, lots of room for anything. can fit a lot of ram. two Ethernet ports rock!
Fits a huge range of ram and cpus
Cons: PCI slots are too close for my brick of a graphics card. I bought the superclocked 260 a bit ago.
Other Thoughts: pretty colors when it boots up

Rock Solid Motherboard
Pros: I purchased this board afterreading alot of reviews from New Egg and other sites and its a Rock Solid board very overclockable ram and cpu, runs cool even feels good in your hand. It has alot of options in the bios, always likeed Award bios for stability and performance. I've seen some of the reviews about blue screens and bad USB ports, or not booting but havent had any problems thus far. Maybe its bad O.C.ing and wrong settings.
Cons: Not a con but only 3 fan connectors and Gigabite dosent give you the SPDIF-in Bracket but can buy it for $16.00 on other sites
Other Thoughts: The free shipping is always nice and the rebate always helps with fast ship date got it in a day and a half

Impressive OC
Pros: 1) A "can do" MB with every conceivable tweaker feature imaginable at a fair price (love that previous generation pricing :))
2) OK, OK, so I cheated this time and used Easy Tune to OC instead of doing it myself. You know what? It worked and it could not have been any easier. See more in OT.
Cons: 1) Have to send in for the rebate rather than just lowering the price.
2) See 4 in Other Thoughts first. OK. DES is great, but I don't think there is any way to launch it at startup and have the needed options selected. Asking support now. If now, it's a major blow to a great utility.
Other Thoughts: 1) Bought this in a hurry to replace an older P35 MB failure. Easy upgradeof an XP RAID desktop. Be sure to install the drivers from CDROM before booting from HD if you're replacing an existing MB.
2) The ICH10R is a nice incremental improvement over the 9R. I have an eSata drive that I can now leave connected but not powered on. The 9R did not like this :( I use the J-micron SATA (purple) for my DVD burners only.
3) Easy tune is great! It painlessly put my Q6600 at 3.5 Ghz: easy as 1, 2, 3! My Gigabyte P35 "only" got it to 3.1 GHz. This is with 3 year old parts :)
4) Dynamic Energy Saver works with OC! So you operate at lower voltage and clock settings until you need the MIPS.

UD? Yes, please.
Pros: Tons of ports both inside and out, more than I'll probably ever need. Ultra-durable aspect seems to live up to its own hype very well. No compatibility issues with any device or setting. Board design and layout are good, installing a large gfx card only blocks a minor PCI slot and all SATA ports remain accessible. Plenty of room for my ZeroTherm BTF90 heatsink, does not bump or nudge any capacitors.
Cons: None determined.
Other Thoughts: Would recommend this board to any system builder; mine is rock-solid in its performance.

great board
Pros: bought this board april 2009. has everything you want (except SLI) VERY easy OC'ing. very compatible with memory and CPUs. good all the way around
Cons: no SLI
Other Thoughts: bought a xfx 780I 3way SLI to run 2xGTX260's and dual monitors. if you get this MOBO you can run crossfire(ATI) but no SLI (NVIDIA)

Excellent MB !
Pros: I researched many P45 motherboards for months before purchasing this one from NewEgg. It's fast, stable and very feature-rich for the price. It has just enough tweaking options for my use and a great board layout. Been running this almost non-stop for over a year without one problem.
Cons: None for me.

Still waiting
Pros: None Yet
Cons: After ordering the board started reading post on Newegg and other sites regarding issues with the board, memory configuration etc. I gathered all the intelligence and was prepared to have no problems. Installed everything and voila, could not even get to the bios screen. Tried several times but the only thing I got was the power eventually shutting down but the fans continued to operate. RMA'd board this morning and sent it back this afternoon. Interstingly enough I saw (for the first time over the past few weeks) an open box unit for this product this afternoon. Mmmm? One thing I will make sure and do next time before I start is to clear the cmos. Hopefully I have the replacement in a few days and it will be successful. What is up with Gigabyte?
Other Thoughts: Forced to give 1 egg for the post to accept.

Works well so far.
Pros: No problems. No blue screens or lockups. Works well.
Cons: None as of yet, but it's brand new.
Other Thoughts: Running with 4 gigs of Gskill RAM. Wasn't listed on it's list of certified RAM, but it's been flawless so far. Western Digital Black 640 9800 GTX+ Corsair 650W Power supply.

Pros: Super easy to overclock. I have 0 experience overclocking and i bumped my e8400 from 3GHz to 3.8 by changing 2 numbers in the bios. I love it!
Lots of sata ports, lots of usb ports.
Cons: Nothing major, maybe the location of the case fan plugs

Buh Bye Gigabyte...
Pros: STAY AWAY from this company and product.
Cons: My previous review:
Pros: I've had this board since mid-October. When it worked, it worked well.
Cons: On December 11th, NIC #1 quit working. Nothing I tried got it working again. Even a fresh Windows 7 install. Then I noticed that Windows Experience Index would not finish either. Did lots of troubleshooting and two more clean OS installs. No NIC 1 or WEI.
I filled out the online RMA request form at Gigabyte on December 14th. It said I would receive an RMA in 2 days. Today is December 21. Still no RMA number. Very poor service from Gigabyte. What good is the warranty if you can't send it back?
Other Thoughts: So far the system is down 1 week, and I have no idea how long it will take if it is ever resolved. It would be nice if Newegg would intervene here.
Other Thoughts: As a followup to my earlier review, I finally got the MB RMA'd. Just got it back. No note or explanation of anything wrong. I called them. They said it tested fine and sent it back.
Soooo, now I have a useless MB here. I guess I will start a dispute with my credit card co. and see how they handle defective merchandise.

Great product, poorly packed
Pros: Newegg got this thing out the door and on the road very quickly. It definately didn't sit around for long.
Cons: No problems with the hardware. The shipment was very poorly packed though.. I assume that the motherboard survived the trip by sheer luck alone since it was sitting flush against the bottom of the box with a couple torn pieces of paper stuffed on top of it. Very bad packing job.
Other Thoughts: Other than the way it was shipped everything was fine.

Schweetness
Pros: This board is solid, one of the best boards I have owned thus far, I started with my first build being a budget with a biostar board good but didn't have the features I was hoping for then I built 3 other rigs with MSI boards great improvement over the biostar but it was a budget board no harm to Biostar it was what it was. I simply am in love with this board, easy setup, easy overclocking and adaptabilty.
Cons: Everything
Other Thoughts: You will not be disappointed

Onboard Network Problems
Pros: Love this board! Amazing number of ports, as well as other features. I had Windows 7 installed on my old build. Swapped all my parts, hiccuped the first attempt, but after re-starting, POSTed and booted no problem. Easy overclock of my Q9550 to 3.4, with Easy Tune. Haven't pushed beyond this yet, but feels like I could get more! Runs my games flawlessly. Video editing is a breeze.
Cons: I have a problem with the net ports. When booting to desktop, I have no internet access. If I disable the connection, then re-enable, it connects every time. No response from Gigabyte web support yet, after 3 days. I hate to RMA this board for this reason, but this issue should be resolved by tech support. I put a shortcut to my desktop, to help my wife connect, but it's annoying to have the extra step.
Other Thoughts: I really like this board, and again, don't want to RMA, but I do expect a reply from Gigabyte tech. I will try calling when I have time, instead of using web support. I hesitate to send rebate in yet.

Horrible Product
Pros: Good features for low price
Cons: 2 out of 2 bad..random reboot, BSOD. It would work ok for a day and then suddenly start rebooting in a loop. I flashed the mobo to most recent version, changed the PSU, tried multiple memory stick but of no use..I never had so much problem...I hate to say this is the worst mobo I have ever encountered. I am not sure how come newegg has so many 5 stars for this junk product. Either I am missing something or may be Gigabyte pays to have someone write good reviews
Other Thoughts: Run, hide, be without a computer but never ever try gigabyte again..and definitely not this junk product..

Failed Ethernet Controller
Pros: Worked ok for 4 weeks
Cons: Ethernet controller failed after only 4 weeks. Can't rma back to newegg because bar code removed for stupid rebate which i probably won't get. Now i have to go through Gigabyte's onerous RMA process and will likely be without a motherboard for a month. Thanks a lot

GA-EP45-UD3P
Pros: *Simple BIOS interface with ample overclocking and system management control *Optimal PCB layout (aside from the system 'clock crystal') -functionally and aesthetically pleasing *Support for 1333FSB Processors
Great, solid running motherboard with a great bundle of accessories, I would recommend this board over any other for a LGA775 build.
Cons: 1. The 'clock crystal' is too close to the CPU cooler mounting holes (in the PCB) for an "Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2" mount system to make even contact with the motherboard. This 'clock crystal' obstructs the mount system by a few millimeters. When you attempt to attach the Heatsink/Fan to the mount system the base of the HS/F does not make even contact with the CPU. I shaved off about a 1/4" of plastic off the mounting system to resolve this issue.
2. The BIOS revision I received would not recognize my my USB flash drive to update the bios to the most recent version as well as require me to impede my memory frequency and timing on my 8GB (4x2GB) 1066 G.Skill PI memory to prevent random rebooting and memory dumps during inital OS intallation. Before i updated the BIOS, POSTing would take up to 20 seconds.
Bottom line: Make sure you update the BIOS to the current revision to avoid headache.
Other Thoughts: After I resolved to few issue I ran into with a BIOS flash to the most recent revision my USB was recognized and my memory ran at factory spec of 1066 w/ 5 5 5 15.

onboard ethernet chip not working
Pros: good layout, easy to install, everything runs well except for onboard realtek 8111c ethernet ports
Cons: realteck 8111c ethernet ports problematic for windows 7. after a fresh installation of windows 7 ultimate on a brand new hdd with this board, everything seems to run well except for internet connection - there is none. internet runs well with another wired XP system and wireless VISTA laptops. tried updated realtek driver/gigabyte driver and other tweaking without resolution.
Other Thoughts: windows 7 ultimate/edge 8 gb ram, seagate 500 gb hdd, e6750,

Great mobo
Pros: Worked right out of the box. Windows 7 appears to have all the drivers for it included, but I still went to the Gigabyte website and got the latest ones.
Cons: When in the bios, it doesnt seem to support a USB keyboard. I had to use a PS/2 one.

STABLE AS A TABLE
Pros: Extremely stable overclocked a Pentium d to 4ghz on it no problem running both xp and windows 7 blazing fast. Easy to install great connectivity with all usb devices and the audio rocks.
Cons: Tight space to mount cooler 9800 Zalman had to modify the bracket slightly due to one of the chipset heatsinks being so bulky and awkwardly shaped.

Very nice board, lots of options...
Pros: Upgrading my PC from a Dell Dimension E510 I purchased in December 2004, I've finally decided to make my first PC build after my power supply was shot. This board was very nice because my CPU, RAM, Graphics card, hard drives, DVD drive, and all was compatible. I used my original Pentium 4 630 Prescott @ 3.0Ghz, and will later upgrade to a quad core CPU, and more/faster ram.
Cons: The bios isn't preset for legacy support for keyboard/mouse, so I had to borrow an older keyboard because I have a UBS one. Once I changed the bios, no problems.

NOT GIVING UP!
Pros: very nice looking board! :D
Cons: arrived defective. the board itself worked, 8-pin connecter on motherboard prevented it from working properly.
Other Thoughts: sending in RMA...again not giving up on gigabyte just yet...i have a really good feeling that if i actually get a working board, this will go better! >.> and i will be writing another review when i do!

Dont Buy
Pros: Don't buy this product. Purchased it in August, now January. Still not running. RMA'ed twice with Gigabyte (each time took a month + ). The replacement board was refurb. I am told it should work. But it doesn't. Intel was gracious enough to replace CPU but still no joy.
Cons: See pros

Pros: Nice MOBO with more than enough features for a homer server build.
The board was very well labeled, very easy to put in the case (a CM Cosmos 1000), and very easy to place all the components and wires/fasteners on except the CPU fan/heat sink...
Cons: It was harder than it should be to get the CPU heat sink/fan unit seated and secure into the MOBO. Not sure if the problem is with the CPU assembly fastener posts or the MOBO holes but I'm just going to say that at least part of the problem lies with the MOBO holes, but probobly not all of it. In the end, the CPU fan/heat sink unit attached securely (after several tries), so all seems to be well.
Time will tell how it holds up, but I've got no other complaints at this point.
Other Thoughts: We've got 5 PC's and 3 laptops in in our house and in talking to a neighbor (who has a home server and has experience with building several PC's) I was convinced it was the best way to go...to build one as well - there are way too many advantages with having a home server not to. I've never build a computer before. I've never even had one opened up. No matter...how hard could it be? So with my neighbor's input I got a list of the basic components needed and then came to NewEgg, checked out the reviews and ratings, made a wish list that my neighbor reviewed, and then I made the order. NewEgg did a great job with the delivery - it got here when promised and everything was well packed. My son and I, with the neighbor's coaching, got the server built, WHS installed on the server, the connector software installed on all the PC's, and set up the server folders and file backups in about 4-5 hours - all of it was surprisingly straightforward (with coaching), and nothing to be afraid of.

Great Board
Pros: I bought this to build a Hackentosh, and so I did. This is the board that most prefer for the job. It worked perfectly and I am up and running. Also, pretty good onboard sound. I am using a XfX 9800 GTX+ and it works great, not a glitch. I haven't messed with overclocking but if I do the board has a full bios. Online bios upgrade was fast and flawless.
Cons: Picky with memory. My advise, check the website and use recommended memory. I used Corsair 6400C4 4-4-4 12 and it wouldn't resume from sleep. But otherwise everything else worked fine. I switced to Corsair 6400C5 5-5-5 18 and sleep resume works perfectly. If you have sleep problems, check memory first.
Other Thoughts: E8400, 2gb Corsair 6400C5, XfX 9800 GTX+, Antec 500w. I works great with my Windows Home Server with dual boot Vista/OS X 10.6.2 (works find and upgrades perfectly). I got what I bargained for and am a happy geek. Lost one egg for the finicky memory, but solving the puzzle is half the fun.

GIGABYTE'S Epic Fail....
Pros: Price for what it offers!
Cons: First one would not boot at all! I finally figured out what was wrong... My 4 GB Patriot 8500 memory would not run in #1 and #3 memory slots, it runs in #2 and #4. Then I used my 1 GB Patriot 8500 memory in #1 slot and it worked, but when I tried to run it in #1 and #3 slot to achieve dual channel it would not even boot... so after that I tried running my 4 GB set in slots #2 and #4 and it runs but with every 10 min. I get blue screen reboot... I took it back to Fry's... guy tested it right away and said everything was working.... yeah right! After getting new one right away everything worked like it should... not a single problem... Word of advise... if it wont boot from start as it should... return it right away! I think Gigabyte messed up with their memory controller on this board... lets hope my second board wont die and if it does so will Gigabyte for me...
Other Thoughts: Windows XP Pro Intel Core 2 Quad 9550 @ 2.83 MHz Patriot 4 GB 8500 @ 1066 with 5-5-5-15 Timings eVGA GTX 260 896MB Seagate Barracuda 250GB HD

Not Sure Yet
Pros: Nice board, easily overclocked Q9550 to 3.4 with only manually setting the memory timings and voltage, all other settings on normal (not auto)..I sure hope Gigabyte gets their BIOS issues straightned out (see below)!
Cons: Finicky BIOS, and according to what I have been reading its hit or miss with this board, just pray that you get a good one.
Other Thoughts: Well I got the board and updated to the current BIOS (fd) for rev 1.6 board. Was frequently dropping the onboard ethernet, since I downgraded the BIOS back to the way I recieved it (fb) it seems to have corrected the problem..Not turning in the rebate yet just in case.
Antec 900, this board, Intel Q9550, Xigmatek Dark Knight (added another 120mm on the back side), Mushkin 580 Modular PSU, 8Gb G.Skill F2-6400CL5D, GeForce 9500GT, WD 80G Blue (OS), WD 500G Green, 2x Lite-On DVD Multi's

Pros: The specs speak for themselves. I like the motherboard layout as well; plenty of room to work with, and no clearance issues with my Scythe Ninja or my passively cooled 8600 GTS.
Cons: I was initially unable to install Windows 7 since setup would blue screen right away every time... however, there's a simple solution...
Other Thoughts: Don't use the JMicron SATA ports (they are colored purple) if you're installing Windows. I completely disabled those ports in the BIOS, because of the trouble they gave me. You can do that in the "integrated peripherals" page of the BIOS settings: set "Onboard IDE/SATA device" to disabled--it's about halfway down the configuration page.

Wow!
Pros: What a great motherboard!!! Rock solid.
Nice having all the slots this board has.
Cons: Only 3 fan connectors available (plus the cpu fan connector). For those people with more than three fans in their cases, you will have to either power one fan from the power supply or split one of the fan headers.
Other Thoughts: For the price you can't beat it.

Not Happy With This
Pros: As usual, Newegg gets the product to you quickly
Cons: Since building a new system with this MB, I have had minor problems - an occasional BSOD. Just after the return policy expires, it bombed completely. I should have never sent in the rebate, and should have sent it back at the first sign of trouble.
Other Thoughts: If you purchase this MB, and there are ANY minimal problems - send it back immediately. The one I received (Rev. 1.6) must have be from the bad run that they talk about on the net. I have built over 300 machines, and never got a bad MB, but then again I never tried Gigabyte.

Latest ver. 1.6 is junk
Pros: Loved the older 1.1 version. Solid, fast.
Cons: Loved the 1.1 version I bought awhile ago, so I bought another one. Bad choice! This was the newer 1.6 version. I've had nothing but problems - I've installed Windows XP, Windows 7, etc. (64 and 32 bit) and it's very unstable. Blue screens, errors, freezes, etc. and it's driving my wife crazy (it's her computer). Just like a previous reviewer, I've done everything I can think of in the BIOS and nothing changes the fact that this new version is JUNK! No, it's not my memory, hard drive, etc. as I have the EXACT same stuff as in my ver 1.1 computer that works flawlessly. I'm very disappointed in this motherboard - now it's past the return period and I guess I'm stuck with this piece of junk. In the past, I used only Intel motherboards and never have had a problem. After my first Gigabyte motherboard, I thought I'd found a winner, but this second has changed my mind. 1 of 2 (50%) is too risky for me to buy another Gigabyte brand motherboard. Sorry.
Other Thoughts: Gigabyte - where are you? Please make this right!

Perfect
Pros: Nice layout. Quality manufacturing. Replaces Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L. Will buy no other brand of motherboard after having tried most of the big names, including ASUS.
Cons: None I can think of.

Exceptional
Pros: Used this in my new machine for W7 and this is the first Gigabyte MOBO I have used. I must say I am very pleased and impressed. It has lots of features and did not hiccup, belch or even break wind...
I assembled all my components, pushed the on/off switch and everything started up flawlessly.
Cons: None
