Amazing Board
Pros: This board is amazing, I have a AMD Phenom 2 940 black edition overclocked to 3.5 and this board handles it without a problem. Lots of SATA and USB ports. The layout of the board is nice except it wont fit my corsair memory cooler but oh well.
Cons: north bridge runs hot, typically around 79 degrees celcius, to fix i took out the plastic inserts holding it in and replaced them with 2 machine screws along with putting some artic silver on it and now it runs flawlessly at 20 degrees celcius. my only other problem is there is no second pci-e slot but i bought this board aware of that so its not something i can be upset with them for
Other Thoughts: This is a great board by all means i would buy it again, I have 2 of them at the moment one with a Phenom 2 940 o.c 3.5 ghz and the other with a Athalon Kuma 7750 Black edition o.c 3.2 both run great i have had both of the for about a year now

Better than ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe
Pros: Replacing unreliable ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe boards. Got one hosting my Ubuntu Linux server, and it is rock solid, using Kingston ECC RAM.
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: It makes me laugh to see people going to ASUS. I've had too many failures with my last four ASUS boards. I'm now up to three Gigabyte boards, with no failures yet.

Seemed nice at first.......
Pros: Great features, nice price
Cons: I was very happy with this board....At first. After about a month, the computer started freezing up randomly, with the event logs showing a SATA controller error. Then I started getting a BSOD, and finally the computer does not recognize a HDD being installed. All my parts were bought brand new. I tried replacing the hard drive, even buying a different brand. I sent the board to Gigabyte twice, via their terrible email only support, and they insist that the problem is not their board. This is my fist and last Gigabyte product. I just ordered myself an Asus board.

Pros: Nice motherboard unless you start messing with the memory Not a bad price AM3
Cons: I blew this motherboard out and all I did was add memory and a fan controller. Second motherboard would turn on but not off
Other Thoughts: Glad Newegg was able to give a RMA for the first one, piece of junk

Pros: There are no pros. This MoBo is a piece of excrement.
Cons: On board USB ports don't work. Plate that shields the MoBo on the back of the tower doesn't fit. Won't support Linux. See vendor site: "Linux; get drivers from open source". In other words, get lost pal.
Other Thoughts: Wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

awesome motherboard!
Pros: very solid built.very solid capacitors. looks nice.supports the new c3 revision am3 cpus no problem.awesome overclocking features.extremely amazing price for this thing!
also support for ddr2 memory is really nice. means that some people that have good ddr2 sticks and don't want to spend the extra for ddr3 making it a cheap upgrade for some also cause am3 cpu's have native support for both ddr2 and ddr3.
Cons: the placement for the sound was a bit odd to me. also the cpu 8-pin plug as well, but it might be cause this is my first amd motherboard...i don't know
Other Thoughts: my friend recommended me this board for my Phenom 965 C3 revision i was buying. i always been a asus guy and loved asus boards to death cause of extremely stable overclocking for my intel cpus. but once i got this board in the mail and started testing it and overclocking i just couldn't realize how amazing this board is. very high quality especially for the price.i will start buying gigabyte from now on. this is such a great board especially for the price.overall this is a very solid board

HTPC is ALIVE !!!
Pros: Great board for HTPC along with Apevia case (also purchased here). Onboard sound worked out-the-box along with nvidia based pci-e x16 card.
Cons: None... Would recommend to anyone for personal computing or home theatre pc / pvr build.
Other Thoughts: Indescribable

GA-MA770-UD3 review
Pros: Easy to install in an ATX case. Plenty of USB connnectors. Plenty of SATA connectors! Well thought out layout. The ZeroTherm ZEN ZF 120 fits without interferring with other components. Gigabyte drivers installed and worked well with WIN 7 Pro.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: For a low price mb this is a great value. If you have an older case like I have, the original power supply did not have the 4X4 12V connectors. I replaced the ps with a BFG 550 which will allow me to install a higher powered video card later.

Great Performance Board
Pros: Excellent selection of overclocking features, AMD SB750 Southbridge allowing Advanced Clock Calibration, Dual-BIOS, not nearly as wide as other ATX boards, fast RAID Controller init. DDR2 Memory! AM3 Ready. No IGP.
Cons: Doesn't support PCI-E 2.0. Some of the fan headers are in odd locations in my opinion. Very minor con for me, but I liked the Southbridge power light I had on my ASUS board, which this one doesn't have
Other Thoughts: I bought this board to replace my ASUS M3A78 Pro Motherboard which experienced a bad flash of the newest BIOS. I must say, I wish I would have bought a giga-byte board in the first place. The overclocking features on this are excellent. I was able to push my Athlon X2 5600 (2.9GHz stock) past 3.2GHz! Very stable.
While it is an excellent board, if you can afford it, move up to a board with DDR3 and a 790FX chipset. You'll squeeze even more performance out of your PC. I bought this board as a replacement and great product indeed, but if you are building a new machine, DDR3 is becoming much more affordable and the 45nm chips use it too.

Great budget board
Pros: Ultra Durable 3 series AM3 READY! ACC/Hybrid READY!
I booted up my PC with no problem after installation. My board came shipped with one of the bios updates to accept AM3 C2 chips. I have some old Samsung DDR2 and it picked everything up fine. Board has lots of BIOS options and is very neatly laid out. Everything just works!
Cons: Northbridge heatsink is pretty loose... Many owners report this. I thought my temp sensor was stuck at 79 degrees celsius, but it turns out that the NB just runs that hot.. I've seen it dip to as low at 77 and rise to 80. Not a big deal though, as the heatsink doesn't get very hot to the touch, but it is warm.. and is a concern.
Other Thoughts: I received revision 2.0 from Gigabyte. I noticed that they started advertising the revision 2.1 a few days before I bought mine so I hoped and assumed that I would get one... no dice. Revision 2.1 is much better and obviously is newer.. I would have been much happier to have the newest revision.
You can unlock chips with this board.
My chip unlocked, but I kept it as a dual to keep the temps down until I get a better heatsink. I have it overclocked to 3.4ghz on the stock voltage.

Great Board
Pros: This board does everything I wanted. Remember no on board video input so you have to buy a graphics card which does add to the over build price. But the board is stable and I have experience absolutely no problems at all. Cross fingers.
Cons: I would have given this board 5 stars if not for the lengthy time it is taking to get the rebate. Sent on 11/01/09 and still waiting on 1/08//10. This sorta stinks.
Other Thoughts: Did I mention that the rebate is taking quite a long time?

Very satisfied
Pros: Feature rich tons of ports, well constructed. Supports AM2, AM2+ and AM3. Was easy to install for an amateur and all the connectors were easy to read, as was the manual.
Cons: I put this into an Antec 300 and the power light cable was for a 3 prong connector and mobo has 2 prong.
Other Thoughts: Old gateway PC died due to bad capacitor on the mobo so I wanted a sturdy replacement so I chose this one(Ultra Durable) and put it into an antec 300 to give it room to breathe.

Great
Pros: Great board, i've had 3 and they all run great, they have a high compatibility with most rams and am' cpus, i recommend them to anyone making a cheap to mid range computer.
Cons: None, The motherboard is solid and everything works perfect in my last 3 motherboards
Other Thoughts: Gigabyte has won me over

Decent mobo
Pros: Perfect mobo for what i need it for. plenty of sata ports and onboard audio is great.
Cons: none so far
Other Thoughts: I thought i ordered the mobo that was DDR2 1066 but was shipped a different one that was 1333+. It still picked up my 1066 pc8500 ram with not prob.

Decent board
Pros: Lots of SATA ports. 16GB DDR2 1066 memory.(Though i have yet to still ever come close to exceeding my current 4GB's) 2 - 3pin fan connectors, 1 - 4pin, and the CPU fan connector. Good cheap board for the low end user still using AM2/AM2+. No onboard Video :D
Cons: Had two of my SATA ports fail on me after about a month. The connectors seem kinda loose. Luckily i'm not using all 6 so i was able to swap to a different port. This really confused me when it failed on my RAID 0 configed drives.
Onboard Audio Onboard LAN Onboard 1394 (I've never even used this) I'm not marking it down for the onboards, but i have never had good experiences with onboards before with many different boards. Especially the LAN and Audio. Wish they could just leave the extra onboards off, and add useful PCI slots so people could actually build and customize their own PC. ;) Maybe that will help bring down the price a bit too. I'm just saying...
Other Thoughts: Lots of PCI Express x1 slots. Wish it had more standard PCI slots than the Express x1. Hard to find PCI Express x1 cards for specific applications. Also wish it was AM3 and supported RAID 5. ;)
Specs: AMD Phenom AM2+ Quad 2.5GHz ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 64 Pro Fan and Heatsink 4GB A-DATA DDR2 800 (2 x 2GB) 2 - 500GB WD HDD in RAID 0 1 - 1000GB WD HDD 1 - Radeon HD 4850 GPU HT Omega Striker Audio Card DVD/Blu-ray Drive
Used mainly as an entertainment system for watching DVDs and Blu-ray on a 55" LED HDTV and 5.1 surround system, minimal gaming, and video editing.

Great Mobo
Pros: Pretty, fits well in case, not bad for overclocking
Cons: I'll let you know when I find one :P
Other Thoughts: Bought this with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750+ 2.7GHz Black Edition CPU. Was able to overclock it to 3.1GHz, which is the sweet spot it seems for that CPU. The board pulled through quite well.

Great board
Pros: Lots of USB ports, good layout, excellent features for the money, if you want a single PCEI slot and no onboard video then this is probably the board for you.
Cons: northbridge heatsink will move a bit if you bump it, I dont think it is a problem, it should heat up the paste/tape and make a good seal as soon as you power it up. Just monitor your motherboard temp if this concerns you.
Other Thoughts: Board has a ton of features. Will meet most peoples needs at a budget price.

Perfect Motherboard for the Power User
Pros: A ton of USB ports on it (10) plus the 2 front USB on my case, also purchased on Newegg. The Firewire ports on it are great for my 1TB external drive. I can throw anything at it and it will basically run, and run well. I run a small radio studio off this motherboard/PC and it gets the job done! Now all I need is a stronger CPU! I love this motherboard! I got a second Gigabyte mobo (a toned down, Micro ATX board) for my dad's machine and I must say that Gigabyte has fantastic motherboards!
Cons: Has no native AM3 support
Other Thoughts: I was thinking of getting the AMD Phenom II 3.4GHz Deneb processor, but I have a feeling I might not be able to get it, since it's an AM3 processor and this motherboard is only AM2/AM2+.

Needs work
Pros: Fits perfect in in large cases. Excellent board layout. Perfect for Win 7 upgrade. Good for future (value) expansion. In other words, this one is good for 6 months until the prices on DDR3 and the Phenom X4 processors come down. VC riser is PCIe 2 which will work with any of the PCIe 16 video cards.
Cons: Remove the Northbridge heatsink and replace the plastic connectors with 1/8 x 3/4 machine screws/nuts/washers. Use a CPU fan large enough to blow air directly on the NB heatsink (like N82E16835118036). Outside edge of the board needs plastic risers. Box didn't come with mounting screws - but you already have a box of those right?
Other Thoughts: Make sure you have Rev 2 of the board. Get Realtek onboard HD sound driver and LAN driver from Realtek. Consider getting a good sound card.
Board found my AMD X2 6000 and old Patriot 4 GB Dual channel DDR2 800. Works fine with an old 8800 GTS.

Just bought board number 4
Pros: Great layout, features, and price.
Stable and Simple.
Cons: Not free!
Other Thoughts: These boards are probably one of the nicest I have ever worked with. I am slowly phasing out other boards and now my whole house is gigabyte.

Great Board..After 6 Months!
Pros: Great board..still stable even with Kingston hyperX T1 4 gigs of ram, and thier overclocked to 1097 on 5-5-5-15 timings with 2.015 volts, the board wont let you go to 2.1 like the advertised settings. i have rev.1 of this board, my cousin has rev.2 and to me..thier the same except for the right angled IDE port, and the silver SB heatsink, mine is blue..and im still running my 7750 Kuma overclocked to 3.150...also they DID give enough clearance for an aftermarket CPU cooler..i have a xigamtek cooler and sits just flush with my HUGE heatsinks on my ram, plus the nice fan on the cooler blows nice cold air on my ram, keeping them cool..this board is extra nice..plus this board has 4 onboard fan inputs so the system can control your fans depdning on the heat..my motherboard is around 29C..ALWAYS..even in the heat of summer
Cons: the northbridge...its hot..really hot..but its also not set well..wanna know how to fix that? take some of the scotch clear 2 sided tape, put it on the back of a 40mm fan, and just stick it on..i have plenty of clearance room for my lame 2600xt fanless zalman heatsink that sits on top of the card..only because of that problem i knocked off 1 egg..until i can get off my lazy self and really do something about it
Other Thoughts: all programs says the NB is running 70C..still to this day after updates..i know for a fact mine isnt running that hot because i have a fan installed on it, and its now cool to the touch

Great Board!
Pros: First Gigabyte board after years of using MSI boards. I "inherited" a Phenom 9600 Black processor, and this board had better features (FSB speed, SATA ports, etc.) than any MSI board I could find.
I probably should have started using Gigabyte boards a long time ago... right out of the box, you can feel the quality. Very heavy-duty feel to it.
Everything fit, and everything worked on first boot up. Actually, this is the very first time I have built a computer that worked great on the first boot!
In my opinion, that "2 oz. of copper" they advertise really does make a difference.
I will definitely buy Gigabyte from now on. I am a believer.
Cons: The screw holes didn't exactly match up with my new case, but an included plastic standoff helped on one corner... not a big deal, really-- the board doesn't hardly flex at all-- even when you try. The hardest time I had with the installation, was that I stupidly put a wrong-sized screw into one of the holes (it was too small) and couldn't get it back out. I kept working with out, and finally coaxed it back out. I won't be making that mistake again.

Good motherboard!
Pros: Great card. fits perfectly in my case, comes bristled with fan headers. Stock heatsink for the cpu works great, the I/O shield seems a bit off, but that just may be because of my doing. Love how it has 4 DIMM slots.
Cons: When i got the motherboard, the screws for securing it into place onto the case were missing. i had to use screws i had from older computers lying around to secure it. Another thing, is the front audio header is ridiculously far away from where it should be : near the front! I had to use the regular audio connector for the front panels. no HD Audio in the front :( BIOS flashing worked fine, i put a Phenom II x4 955 in it, and it ran at 1.8 GHZ until i updated the BIOS.
Other Thoughts: If it didn't have those issues above, it'd be a great mobo. Thanks Gigabyte :D

Pros: Wonderful board design. Runs beautifully even before you have everything fine-tuned to your liking. Once the issues below are solved, I'll be perfectly happy with this board.
Cons: Northbridge heat sink was horrifically loose. Absolutely no corner supports at all, and it had no pressure on the chipset. Easily jostled by a light bump as I was putting it into the case, resulting in the thermal paste bond being destroyed. I doubt it would've had decent thermal transfer even before then, either.
Other Thoughts: Waiting for a response from Gigabyte's support team to decide whether to RMA for a replacement or just hit the hardware store for some bits and bobs needed to stabilize and tighten the NB heatsink's grip. It all depends on if they call it a rare manufacturing defect or a widespread design flaw.

easy as pie
Pros: good board cheap price, manual makes it easy to use and the install was a snap.
Cons: i found the bios reset was in the shadow of a battery, not a good place for it makes it hard to find, but overall come on, its as good as it gets for the price.
Other Thoughts: id buy it again in a flash prolly gonna end up using it for my gfs pc 2.

memory hassle
Pros: solid board for the most part
Cons: won't run ddr2 1066 without manually setting 5.33x and 2.175v in bios, becomes unstable at these settings with more than one brand and type of memory module that I tried, won't go to the 2.2v I actually needed for memory random freezing and memory dumps unless let to run at ddr2 800, updating Bios didn't help at all
Other Thoughts: XP Pro Sapphire HD4830 Phenom x4 9950 2.6 cpu If you can live with the memory at 800 go for it, solid enough other than that. this is a follow up to a much earlier review before the memory issues. I'm going to have to get another board if I'm going to get a am3 cpu.

Great so far
Pros: Nice budget board, nice software! I bought this as a budget board, but is has higher performance than I expected.
Cons: PWMs are not heatsinked.
Other Thoughts: I tested the board and then slapped so heatsinks on the PWMs to prevent any overheating/failure during overclocks. I am only running it with an Athlon X2 though.

BSOD Special
Pros: Supports AM3, decent specs.
Cons: The BIOS does not properly configure memory in Auto mode. I flashed the BIOS to the latest version F9A. There are only a few, obsolete memory packages supported by this mobo on the Gigabyte site. If you check it out, you will see there are no memory modules supported at 1066Mhz available on Newegg. I've run 2 different types of G.Skill memory in this board and get the BSOD frequently. Thankfully, the G.Skill support page clearly defined memory timings and voltage to run their F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK memory package on this specific board. However, I still got BSODs. I ran Memtest86+ and did not get errors in the memory. The board automatically defaults 1066Mhz memory to 800Mhz, unless you tweak the BIOS, after which the system will become unstable. I've built systems for 14 years, since Win 95, and will never again buy a Gigabyte Motherboard. This board will not operate with most memory packages available on Newegg.

Good Hyper V
Pros: Setup Phenom II x4 3 gh (quad core) 8 gig ram 4 hard drives - 2 configured as Raid 0 for preformance Nvidia GT 9600 Windows vista x64 windows 7 x64 with XP mode Windoes 7 x86 Widows Server 2008 R2 X64 with Hyper-V with 4 windows 2003 R2 guests, one as Domain Controller with DNS, 2 as enterprise exchange servers and one as an edge server.
Currently triple boot. Powered up fine at first try. after reading what others said I made sure to set bios for USB keyboard and Mouse before rebooting and installing the OS. Flashed bios to F4 All OS's installed without a hitch and Virtualization with both Virtual PC and Hyper-V work without a hitch. Hyper-V guests have no problem communicating with each other with the virtual Nics set to external.
Raid 0 worked great with close to 2x the read and write speed of a single disk.
This MB is great for Video editing using something like sony Vegas. It also makes an excellent low end Hyper-V work horse for student IT lab.
Cons: Raid does not work with Linux. If you have a dual boot with linux you can't just restart, you have to power down completely to boot back into windows for the Raid array to work again.
This would be a poor choice for a gaming machine as it does not have 2 PCIe 2 x16 slots
Other Thoughts: If you want to use this for a linux box with raid you will need to use something other then the raid option from bios. Software solutions such as mdadm or a Raid card such as Koutech PSA150 PCI SATA Dual Channel Host Controller Card

Drivers are meh
Pros: Good layout and easy to plug things in, great build quality.
Cons: Tons of problems with drivers, in two different builds. One Win7 64 and one Vista 32 I'd recommend another manufacturer just so that you wouldn't have the hassle.

One of the best investments I've ever made
Pros: inexpensive, durable, easy to boot, good layout, capacitors are guaranteed for 50,000 hours
never had a problem with mine. PC is quiet, cool, and runs great
Cons: none!
Other Thoughts: great board, worth the buy. Gigabyte is without a doubt my choice of brand.

There is no warranty
Pros: Worked for 3 months.
Cons: After 3 months board wouldn't post. Returned for warranty service. About 3 weeks later got the exact same board back (checked serial numbers) and it still wouldn't post. Ordered an A**S board to replace and it worked just fine. A lot of time and work spent for nothing - not to mention the $$ shipping the bad board back. Gigabyte has no warranty.
Other Thoughts: Obviously, this is my last Gigabyte purchase. I've been a system builder for over 10 years and this is the worst yet. Who wants to do business with a company like this!

Love the layout...
Pros: This is my first Gigabyte board so I was very unsure how easy the install was going to be. The is my 7th build, others with Asus boards, but everyyhing went together with out any issues. There is a good amount of space between everything.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: My build: NZXT BETA Midtower MA770-UD3 motherboard AMD 6400+ X2 CPU OCZ DDR2 800 8500 GT 500 G HDD Sony DVD HP DVD RW w/Lightscribe

Works
Pros: cheap, supports 16GB RAM, and VMware ESXi v4.0 (I'm using this as a VMware whitebox)
Cons: nothing yet...
Other Thoughts: To the previous poster concerned about an 8 pin vs 4 pin 12v CPU power connector on rev 2.0 of this board; the connector is actually a 2x4 pin connector. So it will still take your 4 pin 12v lead. Look at page 22 in the manual.
Just note it looks like they have the pins reversed in the manual (so use pins 3,4,7,8 instead -> again referring to the pint out in manual). But don't worry, it's a fitted connector so you can't get it wrong even if you try...
Hope that helps.

board
Pros: works well no problems installing then week after having the board the pci-e x16 slot went bad so now i'm stuck with a board that is worthless
Cons: maybe some help from gigabyte might help here
Other Thoughts: all around good board wells very well apevia 680 watt psu with a 24 pin main power and a 8 pin cpu power conectters
very good baord just watch out for that pci-e x16 slot it might go out on ya

Pros: Good solid motherboard. Works without a flaw.
Cons: Could not fit all 8 gb (4 x 2 gb) mushkin ram on motherboard. There is simply not enough space between ram docks to fit the 4 ram sticks and their heat spreaders. This is a dissapointment. I guess Gigabyte could not engineer a few more millimeters between the ram docks. I guess every product no matter how good has to have a con.

BOARD HAS REV1 AND REV2 BEWARE
Pros: Looked fine
Cons: This model has a rev 1.0 board with has a 4 pin connector. Rev 2.0 has an 8 pin connector for the processor. Watch out if you dont have the 8 pin on your power supply because they shipped me the rev2 and i dont have the 8 pin.

Good OC'er, poor onboard sound
Pros: AM2/AM2+ support, along with support for 1066 RAM. Also has onboard LAN (given these days but ehh) as well as an on board sound card for moderate work. Its a really good overclocker board with alot bells and whistles.
Cons: the onboard sound card sucks on DVD playback. Most programs (free) seem to have serious issues when trying to play DVDs and sound, resulting in popping sounds every 5 seconds or so. Its probably a windows only problem because Ubuntu doesn't seem to have issues with it much.
Other Thoughts: Overall good board, but I replaced the onboard SC with a Soundblaster Audigy SE I had laying around, much better sound IMO.

Good Quality
Pros: Very durable and colorful board - it doesn't flex at all. Excellent component layout. DualBIOS protection rocks.
Cons: Installed 4gb ddr2 1066 but board only recognizes 800. @BIOS not as efficient as it should be.
Other Thoughts: Other reviews have mentioned the narrow build/last row of standoffs not being used. I had to rearrange the mobo studs in my Antec 900. This not only allowed me to use all the standoffs, but also created a lot of usable room to run cables.

Pros: Worked great. Plugged in the Phenom II 955 BE and the G.Skill 4GB (2X2GB) (F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ) found at Newegg and it fired right up. No RAM issues. NO BIOS updating for the Phenom II. Excellent board!!!
Cons: Drivers included for the Realtek Ethernet NIC did not work. Just a simple driver update (found on Gigabyte website) and back in business.

Pros: This board is amazing! UD3 actually makes a big difference, the board has great overclocking options, is well laid out, no caps in the way of the giant heatsink you might decide to put on. 6 sata ports, 4 ram slots, supports AM3 and has UD3 tech.
Cons: none

Heavy duty board, Heavy duty performance.
Pros: Heavy duty construction is great. AM3 ready (for my upcoming upgrade), support for 1066 RAM (though it sais it goes up to 1333+), lots of customization and OC support built right in, "fail safe" Dual Physical Bios ROMs!!! (will still run even if primary ROM is damaged)
Cons: 4 PCIE x1 and only 2 PCI slots, not so much a Con as an "I have no real need for this many PCIE x1 slots"
Other Thoughts: The double thick layer of copper is supposed to maintain cooler operation which could be a great pro, but I haven't had her under enough load to really push my cooler master fan/heatsink yet.

Good motherboard
Pros: I've been using Gigabyte motherboards for a few years now, and never been disappointed with them. This new board is another in a string of successes! Price is excellent, performance is as well!
Cons: No cons.
Other Thoughts: There is a separate power connector near the CPU that supplies power to the CPU. I didn't realize that at first, but once I realized I needed it (talking to the tech support) I found that my power supply had a 4-pin power molex that worked.

Good Board
Pros: Will support AM3 for future upgrades, g-skill memory works well, lots of s-ata ports and if you screw things up it has a dual bios to recover from. The on board audio is really good with plenty of features. I use this for gaming and it works fine with surround sound and all.
Cons: The board has 3 pci express x1 ports, but most cards are plain pci.
Other Thoughts: It has a smart over clocking feature but i haven't had any luck over clocking.

DEAD ALREADY!?
Pros: The way this mobo is set up is convenient and there's plenty of expansion slots.
Cons: I installed the mobo and it was great for about a week and a half. Then it stopped working mysteriously. I'm going to return it to Newegg for a replacement and see if the new one works for more than 2 weeks!!

Good, but don't use Corsair RAM
Pros: Board was extremely easy to implement and with provided applications a breeze to update BIOS. Board has dual BIOS as well. Very stable. Works well with XP, Vista and Ubuntu Linux.
Cons: Have had a ton of issues with my Corsair RAM.. I put two 2GB pairs in and set the voltage to the mfg. recommended voltage. Blue screens caused by RAM intermittently. Corsair replaced RAM and gave me a $30 credit card to boot, but it just won't play well with this board - don't get me wrong - Corsair RAM is great, it just doesn't play well with this board.
Other Thoughts: I would buy this board again. I had for years purchased Asus boards but lately their quality has seemed to suffer. I switched to Gigabyte since my son has had good luck with them and agree with him now that their support, applications and products are great. Of course NewEgg is the only place to buy!

Nice Mainboard
Pros: Nice layout, nice to have 6 SATA connectors. This system was built for business not gaming. Seems to run very fast so far, I used Western Digital Caviar Blue WD3200AAJS 320GB, G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit , AMD Athlon X2 5000+ 2.2GHz Socket AM2+ 65W Dual-Core Processor, ECS N9500GT-512MXL-F GeForce 9500 GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16. Everything went together great and works like it should. I've never been disappointed with Gigabyte main boards.
Cons: The only possible thing I can think of is that the board is narrow and will not get support from the last row of the ATX standoffs. Just support the edge of the card when plugging in items.
Other Thoughts: Driver Disc for this mainboard is a DVD which may be a problem if you only have a CD/RW.

Sound Stopped Working
Pros: Cheap, shipping was pretty fast. I got it the next day. Thats why i love NewEgg.
Cons: The on board sound just randomly stopped working.
Other Thoughts: I've installed all the necessary drivers for the motherboard but the sound just was gone one day. I've installed vista ultimate on it i dont know if this is common but thats not the only thing i had problem. Also my video was laggin a but as well. I am using a graphics card instead of the onboard so i dont know if any of the problem is the board but if anyone can help me out that would be great. I love Gigabyte, i own 4 other Gigabyte motherboards. I mean i love this board to because it was easy to work on but im just having that issue with the sound board.

Works great so far!
Pros: Standard ATX board, lots of PCI-e slots, cheaper DDR2, much nicer BIOS settings than my last board (a Foxconn)
Cons: Only two PCI slots - might be an issue depending on what you're doing. Really gaudy/ridiculous POST screen art (can be disabled).
Other Thoughts: We've had a few of these in action at work for a few months and they seem to be holding up great...

AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID
Pros: worked... for seven months.
Cons: And then it died. It gives a solid error code, does not POST, which apparently means that the board has become "warped" and the memory isn't making a good connection. IE: it's shorting out.
So I start the horrendous gigabyte RMA request. it's the usual, support line is impossible to find, and when I do find it, I'm on hold for 30 minutes, and then it rings to voice. oh, and it isn't a departments voicemail, it's ONE PERSON's voicemail. So I ring the customer service instead, hold for 30 minutes, and then I get a different person's voicemail. And this during peak east coast hours! so I figure, fine, I like to think I'm a smart guy, these people's voices on the machines have funny accents, maybe they are on the other side of the world. I have a pretty easy schedule, I'll wait until 3 or 4 AM EST and call. SAME THING. I don't think they actually have a customer service OR a technical service department! Later on, I get an email that is so rediculous it's stupid. NONE OF IT APPLIES!
Other Thoughts: Dear Customer, We received your RMA request A78425 for your warranty service. Unfortunately, your request was declined. The most common reasons why it was declined are: * Out of warranty * Non GBT product (Wrong model name) * Incorrect Serial Number/Invoice Number * Duplicate request * Non North America return shipping address Thank you for your attention. Sincerely yours, Gigabyte Inc. Customer Service Center
I WROTE THAT INFO OUT PERFECTLY! their website doesn't even accept the information it requests! at least be honest, and don't try to make it seem like there's a customer service department at gigabyte. If some marketing drone replies and says "please call us so we can fix this" NO YOU WONT FIX IT, you already had that chance and blew it. don't even try and make it seem like you're going to fix this. Take this MB and shove it, because it and your company are garbage.

Last time I'm buying Gigabyte
Pros: Worked for awhile.
Cons: Within a week, onboard sound stopped working. Because my internet connection was horrible at home, it wasn't until after a month, I was able to download drivers. The drivers didn't help either.
Other Thoughts: I've heard of many Gigabyte motherboards having the same problem.

Great Board!
Pros: 6 SATA's Headers! The circuitry profile is low around the processor socket for large heat sync, Handles up to 16GBs of Ram, Plenty of room for upgrade, 8 USB Ports + 2 headers for additional brackets, 1 6C and 1 4C IEEE 1394 (Firewire) Ports + a header in the board for an add on bracket.
Cons: Only 1 IDE Port, SATA #4 & #5 are only available in RAID mode.
Other Thoughts: Easy to install.

Great Motherboard
Pros: - Well balanced features. - Everything you need from a cheap ATX AM3 motherboard.
Cons: - Face plate at the back didn't quite fit my Antec Sonata III case.
Other Thoughts: - Gigabyte keeps advertising the durability and temperature control of their products due to 2oz of copper. I do believe most review websites and tech experts agree that this has no effect on the performance of the product. - Perfectly reliable for the last ~2 months.

Great Board
Pros: I received the Revision 2.0 board. Runs 1066+ memory, has dual-bios, can unlock extra Phenom II cores, has lots of sata and usb ports, runs stable.
Does everything I want it to do and then some for a low price.
Cons: The first board I got was a Revision 1.1 and my computer kept freezing so I had to RMA it.
However, the second board I got was revision 2.0 which was worth the wait.
Other Thoughts: Built a decent inexpensive core system under 300$ with: AMD Phenom II X3 710 OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 Western Digital Caviar Blue WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM
Just had to throw in a graphics card and was all set.

Cant say fully yet
Pros: Didn't fail out of the box. has nice features and is a pretty darn good board.
Cons: none that i know of yet.
Other Thoughts: Everyone told me that gigabyte was the best for motherboards yet the 4 that i have personally purchased 2 have failed. not looking good for em. luckily the rma process is easy. can't say that it will be fast since I'm still waiting for them.

Works great, except..
Pros: It was definitely cheap and was a great deal, fits my AMD Phenom II X4 940, and has sufficient room to move the stock heatsink around. Fits my RAM fine, has a ton of Serial ATA ports, good PCI slots, and it does what I need it to do.
Cons: About a week after installing it into my computer, I was having some strange issue where it would load the BIOS and restart before loading windows, and it would keep doing this forever until I switched the PSU off. Went over it, replaced PSU, as it was a bit underpowered, didn't fix it, re-arranged the RAM, didn't fix it. I replaced the thermal grease on the CPU cooler and it ran fine. Hasn't done it since. Also, the chipset got unusually hot. Like, ouch-burn-you hot. It runs fine now, but I don't know what it is..
Other Thoughts: It looks stylish and matches my graphics card and RAM in color.

Good stuff...
Pros: Worked right out of the box. Got everything connected easily, turned it on and it went. Nice software apps. Has enough room for a Zalman 9500A 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118223 (In case you use one of those). 3 year warranty. Got the Revision 2 board w/ SB 710 and 8 pin power connector, THANK YOU NEWEGG, PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!!
Cons: USB headers could have been put along the edge of the board instead of in the middle.
If you get the Rev. 1 board: the IDE connector faces up so that if you have a large vid card like a GTX series, it's gonna cover that IDE port. The Rev. 2 board has the IDE connector face to the right so you don't have that problem. That is, if you use IDE, and if you have a GTX, you probably aren't going to have IDE.
Other Thoughts: People need to get used to boards not working sometimes right out of the box. Happens to both Gigabyte and Asus. They're electronics, and no matter how well it is made, electronics do fail from time to time.

great
Pros: easiest motherboard i have ever put together without doing any major twaeks.
Cons: overlooked it only having one IDE slot and was unable to connect my old back up hard drive , but no big deal though
Other Thoughts: reasonably prices and very upgradeable , more than meets the eye

GIGABYTE GA-MA770-UD3 = FAIL
Pros: ??? It arrived at my house on time??? Everything plugs in ok???
Cons: DOA FTFAIL BABY! No post + no display + no beeps = yay4me. Seriously, this is my 3rd board I've bought for my self-built pc. 1st one from M_I died after 2 yrs, had M_I send me another one (for $35) which was DOA. Now I get this one ANNDD!!!....DOA!!!!
Other Thoughts: I better be able to get a replacement for this. Seriously...2 DOA mobos...at least the shipping was quick.

Another good Gigabyte mb
Pros: Good layout. Works great with my AMD 9850 BE and 8 gig of Gskill 1066.
Cons: Wanted to use my new Xigmatek cooler, but it would not fit to my liking (it blocked easy access to RAM slots). Had to use my Zerotherm.
Other Thoughts: How about a cooler mounting design that lets you orientate the mount to your desire

Excellent board
Pros: Great features, excellent performance, Windows 7 worked out of the box without need for driver disks. Supports AM3 based chips up to 140W, so room to grow.
Cons: None.

love it
Pros: got it in one day and was everything i needed. i love the atx form and it worked right out of the box. the oc program they offer in the bios is pretty awesome too. my first gigabyte and im very happy.
Cons: wish it had 2 pci x16 express slot, but not so much of a bad thing, ecspecially for the price
Other Thoughts: m running speed fan it shows my temp 3 as 78C, not quite sure if its an accurate but maybe a component on the board is running a little hot. i have plenty of fans and a good cool case just a lil weird.

Very Nice
Pros: My dad picked it out based on his years of experience using Gigabyte motherboards and I am extremely happy. The 2 oz Copper really seems to do the trick. I have never heard audio as clean as I have out of a computer before.
Cons: None but watch out for the sharp stuff on the bottom. My dad cut his finger just lifting the board from the box.
Other Thoughts: This motherboard has features to spare.

Awesome Mobo
Pros: This Mobo works really well, the BIOS is very easy to work with and is easily put into the case, it seems tough too.
Cons: No onboard video card, (pushes up price for making these for people)

Cheep in cost, not in features
Pros: Rich set of features and terrific overclocking support. Board is rock solid and 100% problem free after a month of use.
Cons: The revision shipped of this board from NewEgg was revision 1 not revision 2. The item description didn't mention support for the AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb, however it DOES support it just fine (may require a firmware update, but out of the box it was current enough to support it.) Not much of a con really.
Other Thoughts: When paired with the AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz Black Box Edition it is an awesome powerhouse value. Easily overclocked to 3.8ghz with good cooling. Can't beat that sort of performance for an investment of barely $250 total (assuming you already have ram, case, psu, HD, DVD, etc.)

Old school
Pros: Great board, 5.1 surround sound, easy install! Just installed my CPU, Ram, Burners and hard drivers from my old board and it booted right up. Runs cool
Cons: None what so ever
Other Thoughts: Of course I had to install the sound and on board nic drivers. Other than that Vista Premium 64 bit self installed no problem! I had no problem with the over hang, This is old school Plastic stand offs use to come with cases 9 to 10 years ago, ever sooner, I still have a bunch on hand. The old 486 boards had to have them too.

Revision 1
Pros: Nice layout, easy install of Windows 7 RC. Easy bios flashing. Boots quick!
Cons: Did not pay enough attention to the specs for the northbridge. Should have realized this was REV 1.0. Not able to unlock other cores on AMD Phenom II X2 550. Need REV 2 for that; my fault.
Other Thoughts: None of the driver or audio problems others reported. Don't knock a product because you didn't read the specs. No problem with northbridge heat problems others reported.

Pros: For the price/ feature this board rocks! Everything ran from Running Phenom II X4 940, had to do no bios updates, 4GB Patriot DDR2 1066, WD Raptor for the OS and WD 1TB for storage. Running Windows 7 RC till it comes out. 1st boot up everything worked and no problems yet. For just over $700 bucks I got a machine that really runs fast and I haven't even tried over clocking it yet, don't need to with 4 cores at 3.0 GHz
Cons: I got most of my rebates back, but don't wait to send them in, they put short limits on the time you have to mail them out. My bad for waiting due to the return policy.
Other Thoughts: Always have had good luck with Gigabyte boards, this model is a bit cheaper than the ones with newer chipsets but its still a good board.

Solid, cool
Pros: Supports 955 BE, good onboard RAID drivers, nice and cheap, perfect budget board
Cons: A little bit strange construction, rubber standoffs help me here
Other Thoughts: I use only SATA drives, no EIDE of floppy, so I really can't say anything about those aspects

Great board, but a little cramped
Pros: Everything works like it should. On-board audio is del.icio.us. This is the first machine I've had without a sound card since my 486 (and THAT beast had a "turbo" button and a lock on the front).
BIOS is good for overclocking, but download the update. I did not do this before installing Windows and it did not cause any problems.
Almost everything is clearly labelled on the board and the instructions are clear (at least clear enough for a guy who's been doing this for 10+ years), and label everything that isn't labelled on the board itself.
Cons: Layout makes putting things together a little awkward. Took some tweaking to get USB 2.0 to work. Don't remember what I had to do. Disable 1.0 in the BIOS I think.
Other Thoughts: PLUG IN RAM FIRST. If your CPU has any kind of decent cooling unit, you will not be able to reach the two slots closest to it, and the other two will be hard to reach.
An earlier reviewer had a problem with the IDE port, and I guess it is a little awkward, but just do yourself a favor and get SATA drives.

Not satisfactory.
Pros: None applicable.
Cons: The board did not match up with a Raidmax standard ATX profile. It also arrived with dead onboard sound. I've heard fantastic things about the Realtek ALC888 device that this board comes equipped with. Too bad I can't say the same from personal experience...given that I've never heard it. Frankly, I don't have time for such fundamental manufacturing errors. Gigabyte will not be given another chance, I'm returning and purchasing an ASUS board.
Other Thoughts: This build was done for someone who uses his computer primarily as a home theater and stereo system. When your onboard sound fails to function, there's no getting around the fact that it compromises the build completely.

Strange design?
Pros: Cheap, supports phenom II, small
Cons: Strange design (see other thoughts)
Other Thoughts: The location of the ide slot is not in a good position at all. The graphics card (gtx 260) completely covers it, and it almost feels like the ide cable is hindering the graphics card from resting comfortably. Also, I'm not sure if its the size of the motherboard or the design of the case I'm using (thermaltake tsunami), but there are no screw hole lineups for the far right screws. I feel like I'm going to snap the board in 2 when I need to push in RAM

My First Solo Build
Pros: Well so far so good! This is the first pc I have built by myself and this board booted right up and I had no problems at all getting it to operate all of my programs. I am a DJ so I have BPM Studio for music, Karafun for Karaoke, then I use Windows Media Player for videos and of course movies at home. The first thing I noticed was the speed this thing loads and downloads at. My old pc was an MSI single processor and it ran well but this board with the Gigabyte Quad Processor just seem to go at light speed in comparison!
Cons: I haven't found any yet other than some sort of clash between the Transformer case and this board with the mounting hole layout,,,I was able to find only 3 holes in the middle but I cut some pieces off of the foam from the box and stuffed behind all 4 corners and it seems to be working fine...and I suspect it is the cases fault not this motherboards that the holes don't all line up!
Other Thoughts: I have allways had MSI motherboards prior to this build but my friend who use to build my pc's and another friend of ours who has his own pc shop both said the Gigabyte boards are great so...We shall see!

Excellent
Pros: Excellent array of features, especially for the cost. Lots of usb ports, in theory the dual bios feature could be very helpful but I've not needed it yet. Very strong construction for a pcb. Good board layout for the most part, just minor nitpicks there. Clock and voltage controls are easily accessed. Comes with software that lets you replace the boot image with a 256 color bmp.
Cons: First board was DOA. Front panel connectors are a pain to hook up, right at the very bottom right and tough to do if you install the board into the case and then realize the connectors came lose. This is my fault, though, don't make my mistakes.

Great Mobo, Great price
Pros: Stable and fires right up.
Cons: SATA Connections are kind of flimsy - had to RMA the original board due to a sata connector popping off.
Other Thoughts: Better placement of the SATA connectors would've made this board a 5....however, i've since purchased another one of these boards to build another workstation on my techbench.

It works if you stick to 1.8V RAM
Pros: Price, lack of frills (a plus to me), lots of USB ports and even Firewire
Cons: Lack of dynamic overclocking options in BIOS (only available via Windows software), incompatible with G. Skill RAM running at 2.1 Volts (possibly other RAM as well?)
Other Thoughts: Be very careful if buying DDR2 1066 RAM for this mobo. My G. Skill RAM was very unstable in this board. I found info on how to set BIOS for the RAM on G. Skill website, but system was still somewhat unstable. Haven't bought a Gigabyte board in years and now I remember why.

First Gigabyte, DOA
Pros: None, as of now
Cons: DOA. What can I say
Other Thoughts: I will right a new review if RMA arrives.
Not bootable, no CMOS, no screen, no beeps, no nothing.
Very similar to others who had DOA boards.

Pros: Was working fine. Good quality and stable.
Cons: After about a month and a half the motherboard stopped working. Again. I had sent it in for an RMA the first time due to 2 of the capacitors on the motherboard not being connected and sparking until it lit on fire. I had gotten this one and it was having shorting problems on the back against my case. I decided not to screw it against the case any longer and just let it sit ontop of it's box, but kept it in my tower. Eventually the thing died again. It was due to a short. Again. Not only was the 4pin 12v connector not connected properly, but it was no longer even conducting any form of current. 32 days after getting the 2nd motherboard and it no longer works.
Other Thoughts: I hope that this helped you all. I would not recommend this motherboard in the least. STAY AWAY.

Nice product
Pros: - Nice features - Bios offers lots of flexibility
Cons: I really like this product. The only problem I had is that I couldn't configure the BIOS setup utility with a USB keyboard, I had to use PS2 keyboard. I have worked with other motherboards lately and I haven't had this problem. I tried with a wired and wireless USB keyboard with no luck. Luckily I still had an ols PS2 keyboard in my junk box. Otherwise I'd had given 5 eggs.

First Gigabyte board, its great!
Pros: Very well built, and has lots of good features. TONS of fan connectors, both 3 and 4 pin. Looks great with blue heatsink (its not upside down like in the pix don't worry). As long as your not doing CFX or using an AM3 CPU this is a GREAT MOTHERBOARD. I think i have become a new Gigabyte fan!
Cons: NB heatsink gets hot to the touch, but temp. program shows good temps so I am a little suspicious of the NB temp sensor... however i haven't had any overheating issues yet... I can't OC my CPU very much, but might not be mobos fault...
Other Thoughts: Gigabyte MA770 UltraDurable3 AMD X2 4400+ 2.30Ghz Dual Core, OC'ed to 2.53Ghz (Scythe Katana 3) XP Home, 32 bit Western Digital Caviar 320 GB 2 GB OCZ Gold XTC DDR2 PC6400, OC'ed to 880Mhz Sapphire Radeon HD 3870 512MB CoolMax V600 600W PSU

GigaByte SUCKS
Pros: Looks good
Cons: I bought my 1st GigaByte MB last year it was their ULTRA DURABLE line. I bought it for my Vista workstation. I consistently had problems and I though it was all Vista issues. So I got rid of the Vista and I installed XP on another HDD and most of my problems when away. But then lately I changed my RAM from DDR2-800 to DDR2-1066 and the whole system started crashing. I put the DDR2-800 and the system is somewhat back to normal. The RAM is good and the XP install is good so the only thing I can blame it on is the MB. I believe the MB was causing most of the issues with Vista64 as well. Prior to figuring this out I bough another GigaByte Ultra Durable 3 board for a new system and that one is DOA. Good bye GigaByte. I'm going back to Asus.

Save your money!
Pros: Cheap
Cons: This motherboard series will often refuse to post, then suddenly post again when ram has been changed to different slots. I have been though two of these boards already, and even bios updates do nothing to make it more stable. Randomly bluescreens or shuts off for no reason. Very persnickety on what ram it is compatible with. I'm not the only one experiencing these issues.
Other Thoughts: Newegg should not be selling this motherboard

Still shipping rev 1.0? Shameful.
Pros: Highly overclockable, fast, full featured.
Cons: Newegg sent me a rev 1.0 board on July 19th 2009. That's terrible; the rev 2.0 boards have been out for a couple months now. The rev 2.0 boards can unlock the disabled cores on Phenom II X2 and X3 CPUs but rev 1.0 cannot.
Other Thoughts: All the same it's a fine board, it just wasn't what I thought I was paying for. Phenom X2 550, 4GB of memory, GeForce 8800GT 512MB - it can play every game out there at least. :)
